NEW for Autumn 2022 - Newly fitted Bathroom with large walk-in shower (no bath)

The Barn is a cosy, self-contained detached holiday let with private hot tub in Poole, easy walk to Town, Hospital, Poole Park, tastefully decorated, tastefully, comfortably furnished throughout.

The Barn has a comfortable double bed in the bedroom upstairs leading to the newly refurbished bathroom, with a beautiful walk-in double shower, heated towel rails toilet and sink. bedside tables with lamps, several chests of drawers and a cupboard with hanging space, full height mirror. Hair Dryer provided.

New for September 2022 - Newly refitted Bathroom with Walk In shower (no Bath)

A double sofa bed is available downstairs in the lounge.
Downstairs there is a cloak room with toilet and sink, laundry room with washer dryer, iron and ironing board and electric heated drying rack.
Kitchen with everything you need, electric oven with gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, fridge freezer, tv/dvd player, smart tv, free wifi, books/dvds, board games on request.
Dining room table and four chairs, 3 seat leather sofabed and 2 seat sofa.

Possibility of renting a beach hut at Branksome dene chine beach subject to availability.

Private gated outdoor space contains parking for one vehicle and also a large, decked patio area with rattan style furniture and cushions, and a cast iron table and chairs
A private hot tub is located on the decking area, the tub is emptied, cleaned and refilled and heated between every guest, ready on the day of arrival, normally by 4pm.

Ideally situated close to Poole and its amenities, on good bus route and close to Poole Train station, Poole Hospital and Poole Park. and many beautiful beaches a short drive away. Corfe Castle, Kingston Lacey House and Studland Beach all National Trust Properties, Brownsea Island a great trip out from Poole Quay, and Castlepoint Shopping Centre for a little retail therapy 20-minute drive, Bournemouth shops, Pier and seafront, BIC and Pavillion a 15-minute drive.

Absolutely loved out stay.

Amazing stay so close to so much we had so much to do and there were so many lovely touches. Will definitely go again. Hot tub was amazing.

Lovely

We’re had a good time in this small but plenty of room cottage . Well equipped and ready to go. Very central for all the places we needed to be. We enjoyed our stay very much. If you need it there is a hot tub and use of beach hut. A lovely place to stay

Lovely time again

The Barn was welcoming and everything we needed for a lovely holiday again. The new bathroom is fab The owners Carl and Ali are always helpful and quick to respond.

Lovely little place

The Barn is a lovely little place with the best equipped kitchen we’ve ever come across! It’s clean, lovely decor and the hot tub was perfect, especially in the dark when it was peaceful outside. Good location too, unfortunately due to the weather we didn’t get the opportunity to go to the beach hut. Carl and Ali are great hosts with excellent communication before and during our stay. Could not have asked for more from a place to stay.

Hot tub bliss

Lovely property, everything that was needed for a break away. Cosy home. Wonderful welcome pack. Much appreciated after a long rainy drive down. Hot tub was great. Near to lots of wonderful places, Brownsea island, studland, corfe and too far to return to early if the weather changed!

Lovely stay at the Barn

Had a lovely week at the Barn, everything you needed was to hand. Ali and Carl have made sure that you’ll be very comfortable. Lots of lovely touches, fresh flowers, chocolate and Prosecco were a lovely surprise. Hot tub was lovely after a full day out exploring, and there are many beautiful places and beaches to visit. If visiting Poole again would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Ali and Carl

Wonderful Hosts!

I want to thank the owners of this property for their care and efficiency in managing this stay. This is the COVID period and their attention to safety and detail was perfect. They are very attentive to the needs of their guests and really make you welcome. Poole is a beautiful location (my hometown!) and this is a great location to enjoy its beauty and facilities. I can thoroughly recommend this for your next trip.

Getaway to Poole

We both loved The Barn. Loved the welcome pack and the Prosecco. ( but perhaps a pint of milk for a cup of tea on arrival would have been just as good??) Had to go around the block a few times to try to locate the entrance to The Barn on arrival, but did notice a new Name plate had been attached to the gates during our stay ,so maybe now will be easier to find for others in the future..perhaps a few pics of how to access The Barn may be worth doing?? The Hot Tub, was certainly a very nice little extra..and got used on every night of our stay!!..The rectangle solar floor lights were a very good idea as was the rechargeable lamp. ( But perhaps some of the non-working other solar lights need to be replaced.. to get the tranquil ambiance of the hot tub back?) The Barn , itself, is very spacious, modern and clean with just about everything you would want for your stay. We didn't have any issues on our stay so didn't need to contact the hosts for anything.. So, all in all, top marks to our hosts who gave us a very enjoyable stay in Poole. ..Just a quick note though .. I did loose a few brain cells buy hitting my head on the roof several times when getting into bed !! Despite the 'mind your head notices' lol..

Sorry about the head height, I'm afraid there is not much we can do about that, we do advise there is a height limitation in the advert for information. We take on board your feedback regarding the Barn's location and will endeavour to make this easier for other guests, like you say, we do now have a new sign on the gates :) Many thanks again

Summer Break

Well on eventuality getting there I was was disappointed. Not told about on going road closures and one way systems which had clearly been in place for some time. I found the street but not the building so ran on the door stated. No reply at 26. So we went looking and found it down a VERY NARROW alley. Garden with hot tub totally over looked. Decking very sad. Plants dead, paint work needed a great deal of TLC. Loads of weeds around. Very sad sight. Accommodation inside was very well equipped. Nice hectares left for myself and grandchildren. Thank you. When went to clean on leaving it was clear that the furniture hadn’t been moved and cleaned underneath!! Deposit of food found and not ours. I have taken photos. Location for beach was good. It’s a shame that the property wasn’t well managed. A little TCL outside would have made a great deal of difference. Pictures on webb page didn’t reflect the picture we found on arrival. ☹️

we are very sad to read your review, our wish is always that our guests have a lovely time away we are sorry that you feel things were not as you would have wished. We always thoroughly clean the Barn between guests and the floor is always hoovered and mopped with disinfectant so surprised to read there were food deposits found. The local one way system due to road improvements are very frustrating I admit, but there are diversion signs in place and we do not know which direction our guests are arriving from, I'm sorry this was an issue for you. The garden and decking we take your feedback on board and this is in the process of being looked at, unfortunately the wet weather earlier in the summer delayed our plans. This area of Poole is a residential area so hard not to be overlooked in the garden however once you are in the hot tub it is quite private and not overlooked. Clear instructions are always sent out to our guests with detailed guidance on where the Barn is located several days prior to arrival, I'm sorry this did not help you locate it this time. Weeks stay

The place is well set out and very clean. We made plenty of use of the hot tub and also visited the beach hut for a day which is situated on a lovely soft white sandy beach and has all the items you need for a day at the beach. Carl was quick to deal with any issues we had. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely accommodation at the barn.

We had a lovely stay at the barn. It was very clean and had lovely welcome touches, including fresh flowers. Communication with the owners was excellent prior and during our stay. We would definitely stay again. Thank you.

Short break

We came away for a much needed rest ,the property was as described had everything we needed and lots of little extra touches ,the welcome pack and flowers were lovely and the hot tub a much relaxing bonus 🙂 ,lots to do ,a lovely park just a few minutes walk away ,the quay where we dreamt about owning one of the beautiful boats 🤣, the beach at sandbanks is beautiful and clean. Had a drive around Lilliput to see the beautiful houses ,how the other half live 🤣,took the bus to Poole found a lovely cafe great people had a laugh , a couple of snags at the Barn but Carl was very quick to sort things out for us ,all in all a nice relaxing time ,Carl and Ali are lovely hosts and we would definitely come back again ,Thankyou to you both 🙂🙂

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this property, the barn is very well equipped with everything that you would need, very clean and the owners of the barn were very helpful if needed. Was great having the use of the hot tub would definitely recommend staying here.
