Beachfront cottage in prime location on Lyme Regis' Marine Parade. With a stunning panorama of the Bay from it's much admired bowed bay windows whilst just steps from the beach, Little Madeira provides generous self-catering accommodation for 2-3 guests. One of Lyme's much-admired signature pink thatched cottages, often featured on chocolate boxes

It has one dedicated master bedroom, a large living room with a sofa bed, 2 bathrooms and a kitchen/dining room. The house is attractively and comfortably furnished, having been completely renovated for holiday rental in 2020. The kitchen is brand new, as are all beds and sofas.

"Perfect location facing the sea to watch the world go by, enjoy a swim and note the colours changing on the water all day. The interiors have been newly revamped with a fewest kitchen and everything you need, including a dishwasher. There is a full sized laundry, washer and dryer plus a little back patio to hang wet clothes.

They've thought of everything including lovely touches, pretty cushions and lampshades, quirky knickknacks and well thumbed novels. All this in addition to heated towel rails and a fabulous shower room so the cottage punches well above its weight. No bland, beige laminated interiors here!

The TV and WIFI were up to scrupulous teen standards and in use whenever ours weren't at the beach. Come to think of it, we'll be greedy and leave the kids at home next time!

The very best bit is the bedroom at the top under the thatched roof, where you snuggle down under crisp linens to the sound of the waves. If I could've strapped the mattress to our roof rack and driven it home, I might have. The most restful sleep I since I can remember."

Lovely little cottage - perfect location

Small but perfectly formed - stayed here as a family of three with our 7 year old son - had everything we needed for a lovely bank holiday weekend on the Jurassic Coast. Superb location, beautiful views and wonderfully clean. Communication was spot on, all very professional.

Fabulous location, spotlessly clean and even cookies and wine waiting for us. We had a wonderful stay, the owner was actually staying next door and was helpful and friendly whilst allowing us to relax in private. The house is gorgeous and equipped with everything we needed. Stay at Little Madeira

A pleasant proprty with all amenities. A shower room/bathroom for each of the two bedrooms. Property was well maintained with wonderful views of Lyme Regis bay. The property was close to all town amenities including harbour restaurants and local boat trips within walking distance.

good things come in small packages

Little Madeira, is a lovely house, it had everything we needed and more. The stairs were challenging and a tight fit. If one was unsteady or large, then imagine they would be a problem. The views are breathtaking and waking up there is a delight. To be able to walk out of the door and into the sea in 20 strides is heaven. Lyme Regis is a lovely place, lots of places to eat and lots of lovely little shops. We would love to return one day.

Perfect beach cottage

Little Madiera is a beautiful cottage in an outstanding location. You could not be closer to the beach. Lulled to sleep each each night in super comfortable bed. Each room has an amazing view to watch activity on the water. The place was well equipped and we had a very pleasant stay. Leaving the car in the garage was a bonus especially when you can walk from the town to sw coastal path. It was hard to leave. The owners were very helpful and great at communicating.

An idyllic property right on the sea front

We stayed here early May to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The communication with the owners was second to none with the keys, maps and information sent about 2 weeks prior to our stay. Little Madeira is an idyllic property right on the sea front in the heart of Lyme. The property has everything you could possibly need and more but loses none of its period charm. The furnishings add to the property's cosiness, whether sitting in the bay window watching the world go by, sitting in the living room reading one of the amazing books on offer or lying in the comfortable bed listening to the waves crashing on the beach. Our plan was always to go on a once in a life time holiday abroad for our 25th which we were unable to do however, our trip to Little Madeira and Lyme did not disappoint. We had such a lovely time in the cottage, ate at the wonderful restaurants and enjoyed the area. I will most definitely be booking again.

Simply Perfect!

My wife and I spent a long weekend at Little Madeira and left determined to come back for longer. The house is simply perfect. Spotlessly clean and very cosy, the attention to detail is great and we were given fresh milk and homemade cookies to get us started. We were able to unload the car right outside the house and the owners provided a private garage about 8 minutes walk away, which given the amount of tourists during the day was very much appreciated. The location on the seafront is great for watching the world go by, gazing out to sea or exploring the town and beaches. We will definitely be back and for longer!

Great location

Stayed here for 4 nights in September. Really great location right in front of the beach with bars, restaurants and shops close by. Great place to sit in the bay window while having a morning coffee or sundowner and watch the world promenade in front of you. The property is well appointed with all you need if you're self catering. The beds are comfortable and good quality sheets and towels. We would certainly book here again if we're back in this part of the country.
