Pilar House - D. Maria Pia

The accommodation is located in a building built in 1954, located in the heart of Jardim do Morro, offering a unique and unobstructed view of the Serra do Pilar Monastery and the D. Luís Bridge. From the west balcony, you have a mesmerizing view of the city of Oporto, its Douro River and the roofs of the historic area of Vila Nova de Gaia where the treasure of the Port Wine cellars is hidden.
The apartment is located on the 1st floor, comfortably accommodates four adults, has two bedrooms with a balcony overlooking the Garden and D. Luís Bridge, a bathroom, living-room and fully equipped kitchen, as well as a balcony over the Historic Center of Oporto and Vila Nova de Gaia where you can enjoy the sun and the stunning view accompanied by a glass of Port wine. In order to appreciate and enjoy the whole view and surroundings, the accommodation does not have a television by option, it has wireless internet network instead.
Quite central and with good accessibility, being one minute from the yellow underground line and Avenida da República where you can find all the necessary services.
In the heart of the historic center of Vila Nova de Gaia and two minutes from the historic center of Porto, it is undoubtedly mandatory to explore the architecture, gastronomy and local charm on foot.

Perfect place for a visit to Porto

We loved this place- great location on the port wine side of Porto- great for visiting the Port houses and easy walk to the other side of the river. Flat is clean, quiet and well-furnished

Lovely stay with View

The apartment was a nice size and had a good view over Vila Nova de Gaia and towards Porto. Location was perfect for crossing the bridge with ease or taking the metro back after a day of exploring. Grocery is nearby, rooms are comfortable and we would recommend staying here. Thank you

Fantastic Views of Porto and Park

This is a great location. The apartment is in easy walking distance to Porto across the Luis I bridge. The living area has spectacular views of Porto and the bridge. From the bedrooms there are views of Jardim do Morro garden. The only downside is that Jardim do Morro can be noisy in the evening.

Fabulous location and view

We really enjoyed our stay here. The view was fantastic. The place was clean and as advertised. We loved the place. The check in was great. We got great recommendations from the host. We enjoyed that we could get the same sunset experience as the people in park, but on our own private balcony. Easy access to the boardwalk below and to the bridge to cross the river. The place was close to sound proof, so I slept okay.

Die Unterkunft hat eine sehr gute Lage zum Zentrum/Altstadt. Ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt um Porto zu erkunden. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und hat einen tollen Ausblick auf die Altstadt.

Zentral gelegenes Apartment mit tollem Blick auf Porto und Douro

Sehr schöne saubere und helle Wohnung mit guten Betten und sehr guter Küchenausstattung, obwohl wir nicht gekocht haben. Die Gastgeberin hatte sehr viele wertvolle Tipps bzgl. Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants und war immer ansprechbar. Die Lage und die Aussicht auf Porto und den Douro sind wunderschön. Gerne kommen wir wieder

PERFECT location in Gaia!!

The location of this spot is AMAZING…. It’s on the lovely park that sits at the bridge across to old Porto & above riverside Gaia (1 min walk to the cable car you can take down). The apartment is a good size with two bedrooms, a nice bathroom, and a combined kitchen/living room. There is an adorable back balcony where you can watch the AMAZING sunset over the river (people flood the park out front every evening to have this same view!). The park out front hosts food trucks and other vendors with street musicians filling the background. Walk down to the lower part of the bridge to cross right into Old Porto along the other side of the river. The A/C was only in the living room so we got hot at night with the bedroom door closed. The automated metal blinds on all windows were amazing and blocked ALL light. The listing said ‘parking’ but there is no reserved parking so beware - we had to pay for parking until a street spot opened up then rush to get the car from garage to spot. Drive 20 minutes to a gorgeous beach at the mouth of the Douro. So many fabulous restaurants walking distance. We didn’t even notice the lack of TV as we don’t watch much TV anyway. Wifi was good. Book this spot!!!

Spectacular views, perfect location, flawless
