Relájese en la hermosa Fort Morgan Peninsula en Gulf Shores. La cabaña está ubicada en Rookery Community, 15 millas al oeste de Gulf Shores, justo después del marcador de 6 millas.

La casa está situada en la Comunidad Rookery que ofrece una gran piscina, entrada cero para los más pequeños, jacuzzi para los adultos y una cancha de tenis. Un Refugio de Vida Silvestre bordea la cabaña, el paraíso de un observador de aves. Ideal space and location

We stayed four nights and the entire time was more than we expected. Clean, comfortable, a/c worked great, felt very safe in this place. Pool was a hit with the children and easy access to the beach. Would we go back, absolutely. You will not be disappointed. Is it perfect, no, but better than most places we have stayed.

Upon arriving it was very upsetting to see that the pictures were not as clear on the VRBO site or in the description details. We were unaware due to how the pictures made the home seem as if it was a house by itself, not that it was a duplex or how on the pictures of the screened in porch that you are able to toss a rock and hit the people on their porch it is that close and directly across from each other. The home needed a deep cleaning. There were also bugs that had came out that evening inside of the home and on the porch. You could not sit out in the

Great time at the Rookery!

Had a great time at the Rookery! A friend owns a place at the Rookery so this house was perfect for us. The house was clean, well stocked and the pool is great! Price was great too! Communication with the property managers was awesome and extremely quick!

Great Stay in this beautiful, family-ready beach house.

This home was well-stocked with all necessities for family life on the beach. The home was clean and had tasteful, beach-vibe decor that added to the feel. Highly recommend it!

Great Getaway

We enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean & comfortable with enough space for us and our 2 teenage boys. Would stay again! **As a note, WiFi is great, but we had no phone service! We were perfectly fine with that as I think it helped us relax even more, but just a note for future renters!*

We love the Rookery, and this house was amazing! We love that the third bedroom had a bunk bed and twin bed for the kids. The property was so nice and clean!

Cozy and relaxing

The property was super cozy and well taken care of. Decor makes you feel like you were staying with a dear friend instead of a sterile hotel. Well furnished with all we needed in the kitchen and was overall a great experience for our family. We also enjoyed using the boogie boards provided as well as the pool! If we are in the area again we will definitely stay again!

Great for travelers on the go

This is a good spot to land for those that are in the area to explore or spend the day on the beach and need a quiet place to crash at the end of the day. While the house has all the amenities you could want, it's not the most comfortable for just lounging around.

Pink House Paradise

Just as described which is not always the case. Nice, spacious home with amazing porch. Hose outside to wash sandy things when return from beach. Amazing full size washer/dryer. Big bathrooms and great dining room table. Pool is amazing and only short ride to beach access. Would stay here again for sure.

Quiet getaway

Overall a very enjoyable cottage. Could use a newer and more comfortable sofa and loveseat. Area neighborhood very quiet, hot tub was enjoyable, time we were at pool, water was cold but due to time of year expected. We wished we could of had a rolling prep area as very little countertop space but for the most part a nice cottage. Loved the screened in porch and that it was close to public beach area.

Peaceful and great for families

We traveled for spring break toward the end of March. If you want all the good things Gulf Shores has to offer without the crowds and don’t mind a short drive, the Fort Morgan area is great. We did a Walmart pickup in Gulf Shores with our supplies for the week. Knowing that the Gulf is somewhat unpredictable and cool this time of year, we were looking for a place with a pool and this met that criteria. There were a lot of biting gnats, but the pool area was very nice. The beach access is very close to the unit by car - about a 3-5 minute drive. The beach was beautiful and even in March we enjoyed swimming.The house itself was setup perfectly for our family of 5 - a bunk bed and twin in one room, a queen in another, and a king. There are two bathrooms, a jack and Jill that opens to the dining area and the queen bedroom and one attached to the king bed room. The screened in porch was great, and there’s a hose to rinse off your feet. It was great having a washer and dryer and dishwasher. I would note I could not find any potholders or oven kits, but the kitchen had a lot of dishes and pots and pans. I would recommend bringing your own cooking spray, or oil, as well. The only downside was that it could use a deep clean. My daughter dropped something near the one of the dressers in the queen bedroom and when she went to pick it up she saw a cockroach, I looked under the dresser and there were two dead cockroaches which I disposed of and it was dirty under the dresser.

Worked out well

Unit was as advertised. Roomy, clean (like most Homeaway properties we’ve rented baseboards and fan blades needed cleaning but otherwise clean) and very quiet. Good daylight into rooms. We were there during a cool spell and can verify the furnace did a fine job of keeping the unit warm. All beds had foam mattress toppers on them which I always appreciate. Overall very pleasant place to stay and we would definitely stay again. Two items to be aware of on this rental, first the unit is 14 miles from the junction with 59 in Gulf Shores. While I knew (and preferred) it was some distance out pre rental I did not expect there to be no options for groceries or restaurants in that 14 mile stretch but that’s the case. Second, in “things to know” after you rent it says they provide a few starter supplies for use, which they did, but it would have been very helpful for me to know ahead of time that there were no other supplies of any sort in the unit other than the minimal starter items listed. I’ve never rented any other HomeAway property that was so void of any sorts of small kitchen and bathroom supplies. Neither of these items would have made me pick a different rental but it would have been very helpful for me to have known that ahead of time so I’m mentioning it here.

A Pleasant Cottage

We enjoyed our stay at The Rookery II #2801. The cottage was roomy enought for our party of five to spread out and be together. The cottage has a nice open layout, and the bedrooms and bathrooms, while not large per se, were plenty spacious. A few things about which renters need to be aware: 1) The cottage is near the beach but not within safe walking distance to the beach (you'd have to cross Hwy 180 to get there). In fact, we saw no one attempting to walk to the beach. The drive to the beach is short (if indirect), and there are instructions in the cabin describing how to get there; just be prepared to drive when you want to go to the beach. 2) As per the rental listing, the owner/management company provides sufficient supplies to get a renter started. Renters should plan on securing additional paper goods, detergents, bath needs, etc. while there. 3) There is no beach view from the cottage, as it is across the highway from the beach and is part of a large group of similar cottages. All you can see are other cottages. 4) If you are planning on eating out while there, there are very few options nearby (at least that we found). Driving back into Gulf Shores is an option, as there are many more dining choices there, but because of traffic on Hwy 180, etc., that takes longer than one might think. 5) The grocery options near the cottage are limited to non-existant. You have to drive to Gulf Shores to find viable grocery purchase options. None of the above items necessarily detract from the quality of the stay, but renters should be aware of them. The cottage area itself is quite pleasant and quiet. The beach itself is extremely nice -- white sand, comfortable water temperature, and adequate space to set up 'camp' and move about. We thorougly enjoyed it. Finally, the management company that oversees this cottage was responsive to all our needs and communicated efficiently with us throughout the rental process and during our stay. They are a pleasure to work with. The Rookery II is a pleasant place to stay while visiting Gulf Shores/Fort Morgan. Check it out!

Getaway

The cottage was nice. It could use a overall good deep cleaning. The floors were not cleaned. We were golfers so not having the golf channel was a bummer. It is close to golf courses and great restaurants. A great place to relax.

Clean, quiet, peaceful and spacious

Great place to stay! Was there for usssa softball nationals and this was within a decent drive to the ballfields and not too far from the main attractions of gulf shores. We really enjoyed staying here!
