Spacious and bright penthouse just a few steps from the historic center of Siena and only 5 minutes from the entrance to the expressway connecting Florence to Rome.
Strategic location to reach some of the most famous historic cities such as San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Montalcino, Volterra, and Florence.
The apartment features two large terraces furnished with beautiful garden furniture, a table and chairs, and a barbecue. The other terrace hosts a beautiful hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day spent exploring the charming nearby villages.
The hot tub is open from April 1st to October 30th (available upon request from November 1st to March 31st for a fee of €200).
The apartment consists of 4 comfortable double bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 bedrooms have a private bathroom), a large fully equipped kitchen with oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, stove, toaster, blender, coffee maker, ice maker, washing machine and dishwasher, a large living room of 54 square meters furnished with satellite TV, DVD player, wi fi) with direct access to the large terrace.

The apartment was beautiful and spacious with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed many evenings on the terrace with its views of surrounding countryside despite its urban setting. The hosts were fantastic on communication and tips, including for a wine tour and hilltop town visits. Would definitely recommend this property and this host. PS, although its true there are 91 steps as mentioned in some cautionary reviews, there's also a small elevator, so no need to lug bags or even yourself up those steps.

Terrace Mornings and Easy City Access

The penthouse was comfortable, well-kept, and in a great location! It had everything needed for a relaxed stay, and the view from the terrace offered a peaceful start to each day. Getting to downtown Siena was easy, which made sightseeing and dining out convenient. The hosts were responsive and professional, which made check-in and communication smooth. I'd definitely stay here again!

Best of Everything !!

I could not be more pleased with our recent stay in the Casamia apartment. Francesca and her amazing staff were attentive and responsive to every question we had. They also arranged a private tour of the Montalpachino area for our group of six. It was thoughtfully organized and perfectly executed! If we are lucky enough to visit this special part of the world again, we will definitely choose Francesca and her wonderful team! Grazie!!

Great place to stay for large groups

We stayed for four days in March. The apartment was large and great for our group of 7. Just outside of old city but close to access it by cab or escalator up.

Fantastico!

Our host Francesca guided us from reservation to checkout ensuring our trip to Tuscany was flawless. It started with arranging transport from Florence. Our driver was Vincenzo. We arranged to get picked up early so we could make a stop on San Gimignano (Francesca's suggestion). He not only provided transport, he also provided us information on the area and suggested lunch at a Chianti winery which was a highlight of the trip. It felt like a friend or family member was showing us around. We had a delicious and informative welcome dinner when we arrived at the apartment The apartment is beautiful, very spacious and has two beautiful balconies. We booked a wine tour to Montepulciano/ Pienza. Our driver-tour guide sommelier Ambra was great and ensured we had a very special experience. All of our excursion were arranged directly with Best of Mas and it was very convenient and worth while having a local person guiding us to make the very most of our trip to beautiful Tuscany.

Casamia penthouse in Siena

We stayed in this apartment in Oct2023. Overall our stay there was good. The front of the apartment is on a busy street on the 4th floor. The website shows beautiful views which are from the balconies from the front of the apartment. The views were incredible and we enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony. What wasn't clear from the posting was that right below the balcony is a busy street. In the morning before traffic started up it was peaceful but for the rest of the day there is quite a bit of traffic. The back of the apartment looks into a large block of apartments. We raised the shades to let light in and you are looking into your neighbors windows and balconies. The apartment itself was nicely sized. There are 4 bedrooms, and two of those have en-suite bathrooms which was nice. This is not a "modern" apartment. The appliances and the furnishings are fine but older. We had problems with the clothes dryer continually shutting off and the toaster didn't work well, but everything else was functional. Other than the traffic we liked the location. It was well situated for our travels both within Siena and for our travels outside the city. One thing that could have become an issue but didn't was that approximately 10 days before we were going to arrive I received a note that we had to pay for electricity above 60kWh (this was not in the contract). The AC unit controls were not there when we arrived and it was muggy but they brought them the next day.

Most wonderful apartment and Hostess

As the title suggests-we could not have found a better place to stay for our Tuscany adventures. Francesca, our hostess, has to be the kindest and most gracious VRBO owner I have ever encountered. And I use VRBO a lot. She met us at the train station with 2 cars—not just the one we rented- she knew the five of us had a lot of large bags. She took time to orient us to the beautiful apartment rather than just pointing to the book with detailed information. We were a group of five—my brother, sister, their spouses and me. The four had never been in Italy so Francesca arranged a “welcome” dinner our first night, which we requested and paid for. Two fun ladies came and cooked an authentic Tuscan meal. What a night! We rented a car from Francesca—a very new Jeep Compass with automatic transmission and all the safety features which allowed us to safely drive around Tuscany. The apartment itself is as advertised. Spacious, well equipped, comfortable and clean. We all slept well. Kitchen seems to have been remodeled recently and we enjoyed making breakfast and cooked one dinner there. I wish I could accurately describe how easy working with Francesca and Marta who helps Francesca. Again, Francesca is the most gracious person I may have ever met. We all agreed we would book the home again.

Nice Penthouse Apartment

The unit has a nice view from the balcony and was very spacious. 3 couples could easily stay there and not be crowded. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms modern. The A/C worked very well and was quiet. The host was very nice and helpful.

Amazing penthouse with Tuscany views

5 Nights

Francesca & her team were wonderful! She arranged a Van to pick up the 4 of us in Florence and driver is to VRBO. We walked to grocery, pharmacy, restaurants, El Campo, cathedral, etc. Our ages 78,75,74,66! She helped us navigate healthcare in foreign country while feeling unwell on 2 occasions. She arranged a truffle tour that had to be cancelled due to sickness and have us a rental car for ~2 days. She went above and beyond and we are so grateful. Only a few suggestions: kitchen- task lighting for cooking, bathrooms- hooks, shelves, towel racks.

Wonderful time in Siena!

The Casamia penthouse was beautiful, spacious and clean. Just as presented in the pictures. Francesca was wonderful- so responsive with all of our requests. We arranged with her airport and cruise ship transfers, as well as winery tours and a cooking class. All arrangements worked out perfectly. Quiet location and walkable to Siena

Trip to Siena

Enjoyed our 3 day visit to Siena. Casamia Penthouse is an awesome place, exactly as described,Wish we could have enjoyed the hot tub and terraces but it was chilly and rainy! Did have difficulty finding the place but Sabrina was awesome helping us!! Very clean, bed very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, centrally located. Would definitely stay there again!!

1st time in Siena

Francesca was very kind! Our travel up from the Almafi Coast was long (even though we were on a fast train) as there was trouble with lines on the track that held us up. Therefore, we were 2+ hours later getting to the property on a Sunday night. Taxi’s we’re very few and far between so we dragged our luggage all the way up the hill at 22:00! Not the hosts fault though, we didn’t have enough communication ahead of time. She came by the following evening and showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment. She gave us advice and tried to help us with travel arrangements to some of the mid-evil towns for the following day. I learned that even though we were traveling near the end of the season it’s still imperative to make even the smallest arrangements well in advance of your travel date! Francesca did all she could to help us make our short time in Siena worth while and was even able to arrange transportation to Florence at the end of our stay! The location to the mid-evil city of Siena isn’t as close as I’d hoped but everything we needed was still within walking distance. The apartment was very nice and comfortable for our group of 5 and I even cooked! I would definitely recommend this apartment!

Clean, Spacious & Bright Apartment

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay in this spacious, clean and art-filled apartment. The rooms and decor are even nicer in person. We so appreciated the air conditioning during the very hot weather, the apartment was a great place to cool down and relax after exploring the area in the intense heat! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully-stocked and Francesca was easy to communicate with. Given the heat, we may have chosen an accommodation slightly closer to the main part of Siena to avoid extra time walking in heat. But overall, we would happily recommend this unit!

Beautiful penthouse in Siena

This appartment hosts easily 7 persons, with 8 persons it gets tight as one bed is pretty narrow. Beautiful living room with kitchen which is well equipped for cooking. Bedrooms are all fine as well as the bathrooms. We only missed a few hooks for towels. Everything is new or in good shape (exception are the antiques obviously, which give the appartment a nice touch). The appartment is very well placed to explore Siena and the surroundings like the Chianti region, San Gimigniano and Florence. The host Francesca is very helpful and provides a lot of useful information. There are a couple of Pizzerias in easy walking distance, we liked the pizza at „The Jolly“ very much.

A great penthouse apartment

We had a fabulous time in the Siena area and Francesca's apartment was a great base of operations. My wife and I were traveling with one other couple and there was more than enough room. We each had a bedroom with a private bath. There were actually two more bedrooms and a shared bath with a large shower. There is a large dining room table and a smaller kitchen table as well. There is a working hot tub on the patio that we were very excited about when we checked in (and then never used because we were so busy and tired at night). I sat on the balcony having coffee each morning - a perfect way to start the day. The apartment has a parking spot that was available to us but we found street parking right across from the entrance every time so we never had to use the available spot. Francesca was a wonderful host. We were in touch each day and she was always sending me restaurant recommendations and tour tidbits for the different areas we had planned. She also delivered home backed nutella cookies that were delicious with our morning coffee. I would highly recommend Francesca's apartment if you are looking to explore Siena and the surrounding Tuscan area. It is close to highways and an relatively easy 15 minute walk to old town Siena. Take advantage of Francesca's local knowledge of the area and you will not be disappointed Thank you Francesca.
