Vastly exceeded expectations. A little tough to find initially but the seclusion is a plus. Lorenzo was great on the winery tour and Robin’s breakfasts were perfect. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was exactly as described. The entire estate is beautiful. We even had a fun cooking class. We would stay here again!

We loved our six-day stay! Fabulous house atop a magnificent Siena hilltop on grounds of a winery.

The house, grounds and setting made for a most enjoyable trip and longtime fond memories. Owners Tulio, Paulo and Anna are wonderful hosts and not a thing was missing. A well stocked kitchen and comfy rooms as well as views to die for. Excellent internet! We are definitely coming back.

Wonderful stay in the country

We totally enjoyed our time at Capanna and we are so happy we choose to stay here instead of in the city. It is very private and comfortable. The hosts are so friendly and helpful and we learned many things from chatting with them. At times we just wanted to stay on the property and enjoy the weather and the view.

Amazing!

Absolutely wonderful. Lavinia was wonderful, available and accommodating. Felt like family be the time we left. Beautiful vistas. Property well kept and well stocked. We did a chef prepared meal during our stay which was also great.

Tuscany at its best

The property is beautiful dropped in the Tuscan hills with Siena at the skyline. Quiet and breathtaking. Everyday we enjoyed breakfast outside taking in the great views and fresh air. The owners make sure you enjoy your stay. Thanks Paula and Tullio.

Lovely Tuscan vineyard

We had a wonderful stay at this vineyard. Lavinia and her team welcomed us and made us feel at home. It was quite hot while we were there, but there were plenty of fans to keep us cool, and the pool was a god send! The vineyard is only 15 outside of Siena, so very convenient to reach all the Tuscan hill towns. We had a wonderful time!

Owners were very helpful in making good recommendations regarding restaurants, places to visit, efficient modes of travel etc. They were quick to respond to any inquiries regarding the property. They were willing to also provide a history of the region in a comprehensive manner and with good Italian humor. Very special hosts.

Great for Family

The home was unique and in a beautiful setting. The views of the rolling hills and Siena were stunning- especially at sunset. There was a slight hiccup with the washing machine, but it was quickly rectified by the owners. They actually did our laundry until a new machine could be installed. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this lovely property.

Would stay here again and again

We stayed at Capanna for 5 days in early October (myself and two friends) and we can't say enough about how much we enjoyed it. The setting is absolutely stunning and the hospitality from Tulio was unparalleled. Each night we rushed back from seeing all the beautiful sites of Tuscany in order to have wine and cheese in the yard watching the sunset over Sienna and the nearby hills. All 3 of us agreed, it was a wonderful experience and we'd come back many times over. Thanks Tulio for being such a wonderful host!

Peaceful Tuscan beauty

We stayed in the property for four nights. It was exactly what we thought it would be. The owners are so warm and make it feel as though you are staying with family. They are very nice people. Everything you need in a rental is there for you. The view towards Siena is so beautiful ~ we watched the sun set each night. We would recommend this lovely rental to anyone. Ciao Kim from Canada

Relaxing Villa near Siena in the Tuscan Wine Country

Tullio and Anna were excellent hosts. The villa we stayed in, Capanna, is set in a picturesque Tuscan landscape. The location is excellent for day trips to various towns in the surrounding area. The house itself is very comfortable for 2 or 3 couples. You should take advantage and plan a dinner prepared by a private chef. Trujillo was very gracious and gave us a tour of his vineyard and olive groves. Looking forward to visiting again when their new tasting room is complete. Highly recommended!

A Tuscan Dream House

This house, Capanna, was situated in the middle of a vineyard and olive grove, about 5 km from Siena and we happily spent a week there with another couple. The property was lined with Italian cypress trees and has been lovingly restored by the owners. It was well stocked, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and beautiful. The location offered amazing sunsets and room to roam, and access to the hill towns of Tuscany. Note that you will need a car if you stay at this property. The hosts, who lived next door, were very kind and we truly enjoyed getting to know them. I recommend this as a perfect place to stay while in Tuscany!

Perfect Tuscan Villa

We were a party of four and our expectations were exceeded! The villa was comfortable and in a great location, which made it easy to do day trips to different areas in Tuscany, and it was just minutes to the grocery store and center of Siena. The kitchen was accommodating, we had a chef prepare a four course dinner our first night, and she had no problems.. The owners, Tullio and Anna, were wonderful to work with and very helpful, giving suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. The view of Siena from the villa was outstanding, we never tired of taking in the view while enjoying a glass of wine during the sunsets. I hope to visit again!

A wonderful Tuscany experience that exceeded our expectations

My wife and I recently had the opportunity to stay at Tenuta Larnianone which is a small collection of villas just outside Siena in Tuscany. We are well seasoned travelers having stayed at many places around the world and this was truly one of the best experiences we have ever had. The accommodations, amenities, views, serenity and our hosts could not have been better. We stayed in a remodeled farm house (Capanna) that had all modern conveniences you would want and was very spacious and comfortable. Our hosts Tullio, Paola and Anna could not have been any more attentive and made themselves available to our needs. It was a wonderful place to come home to after making short day trips to other small towns in Tuscany. I would highly recommend Tenuta Larnianone to anyone wanting a truly unique Tuscany experience.

Great Location

Great location outside of Siena with a pool. Pool is a long walk from the house and is shared with other houses but doable. No air conditioning and only one window per room meant upstairs was warm. They had floor fans in each room, but it still got fairly warm in the evening. Washing machine and stove took some instructions to use as they are different than appliances in the US. Maybe include how to use them in the guidebook that was provided. Overall the hosts were very nice and accommodating. It is a stone road to get to the property.

Beautiful Home in the Country Side Close to Siena

We stayed in the Campanna home for 9 days. It was located in the countryside close to Siena with great access to groceries, markets all the services we needed. We would definitely book this property again. The home was rustic with up to date amenities, regular size fridge, washing machines, stove, oven and dishwasher. I was pleasantly surprised to find additional items such as hairdryers, shampoo, nice soft bathroom towels and soap. The kitchen was well stocked with spices, dishsoap, laundry soap etc which made preparation of meals and washing clothes just that much easier. The home also came with an outdoor grill. The owners, Anna and Tulio are lovely, they were more than prepared for our arrival and had their own wine and amazing olive oil waiting for us. The family speaks very good English and provided us with endless advice for travel around the area. Each bedroom had an attached bathroom which was nice as many homes have shared bathrooms. We found the walls slightly thin between rooms and the beds a little hard compared to what is our norm in the USA. All around I would like to go back and would definitely consider one of their larger homes even with less guests staying there as the price would be worth it! Thank you Anna and Tulio!

Perfect holiday home in Tuscany

Our stay at Capanna on the Tenuta Larnianone Estate was absolutely perfect. We were met by Tullio, one of the owners, and shown to the property. Capanna was a lovely home with everything we needed. The house was clean and in good working order. The Estate itself is beautiful and we spent a third of our stay on the Estate, walking in the mornings and enjoying spotting lizards, deer and various birds including hoopoes. In the afternoons we went to the pool which was clean and well maintained. Pool towels were provided and there were plenty of sun loungers too. Whichever way you turned, the view was outstandingly beautiful. The house had outside table and chairs so we ate our breakfast outside each morning in the lovely sunshine, listening to the birds, and many lunches and evening drinks were taken there too. We had many trips out including Siena, Volterra, Sangimignano, Florence and Pisa and yet there is still so much we didn't have time to fit in. We ate at one of the local restaurants, recommended by the owners and it was our favourite meal of the holiday. It was a very relaxing and peaceful holiday but the owners were available if we needed them and were very hospitable. Thank you so much Tullio and Paola. We had a perfect holiday in Capanna and would love to come back and visit again. We will never forget this lovely family holiday.

The Capanna villa was beautiful - each room had its own bathroom. The house is spacious and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer. As the description noted, the villa is at the end of a dirt road so be prepared to go slow. The only input I would share with the owners is that the property signage for the villas could be expanded and listed to clearly assist at every turn.

A magical week in the heart of Tuscany. Only 20 min. from Siena, but a world away in terms of quiet, solitude and ambience. We had a cooking class referred to us by the host with a fabulous chef (who had worked in a Michelin starred restaurant in his past), and it was fantastic. Sitting outside in mid-70s weather at a formally set table with the freshest pasta dishes and wonderful estate wine with some our closest friends was a dream come true. All communications withe the host were prompt and efficient, and answered all our questions and information requests.We've traveled extensively through Europe over the last decade and can truly say this was the best stay of all. A 6 out of 5.
