Chy-an-oula is Cornish for Owl's house and was once home to these beautiful birds. This reverse level cottage sleeps 2-4 guests and boasts amazing scenery. Each room is decorated to a high standard with quality furnishings and with central heating throughout to provide a comforting, cosy atmosphere.
The ground floor accommodates a double room and a twin room. All linen and towels are provided along with electric blankets.
There is a modern tiled shared bathroom with both bath and separate shower facilities.
The open plan kitchen/ dining/ lounge area, on the first floor, caters for your every need:-
KITCHEN/ DINING AREA - Dishwasher, Washer/ Dryer, Fridge, Freezer, Microwave,All facilities needed to cook (including a rolling pin!)
LOUNGE - Freeview Flat Screen TV, DVD player, Radio / CD player, Books, Board games, Guest information
Degembris Cottages boast a collection of beautifully restored and tastefully furnished accommodations, each exuding its own unique character and charm. The Grade II listed cottages range from a cosy one-bedroom retreat to 2 spacious family-friendly properties, ensuring there is something to suit everyone's needs.
Each cottage at Degembris is thoughtfully designed to provide guests with a home-away-from-home experience. The interiors are a harmonious blend of traditional features and contemporary comforts. Expect to find exposed wooden beams and stone fireplaces alongside modern amenities such as fully equipped kitchens, sparkling tiled bathrooms, and comfortable living areas with flat-screen TVs and Wi-Fi.
The outdoor spaces at Degembris Cottages are equally enchanting. Guests can enjoy private gardens, patio areas with seating, and stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The expansive grounds also feature well-maintained walking paths, perfect for morning strolls or evening rambles, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Cornwall.
The central location of Degembris means it really is an ideal place for your stay and to discover all that Cornwall has to offer, from beautiful coastline to rugged moors.
THE COTTAGES
* All cottages can be booked on any day and for any number of nights (minimum stay 3 nights).
* If only a 2 night stay is required, the price will be the same as a 3 night stay but you can check out at anytime on the day of departure.
TARIFF FOR SHORT BREAKS
3 nights = 60% of the relevant weekly rate.
4 nights = 70% of the relevant weekly rate.
5 nights = 80% of the relevant weekly rate.
6 nights = 90% of the relevant weekly rate.

Andy, Hannah, Nicholas & Tegen, the Elford family, moved back to Degembris in 2009. We took over the family business from Hannah's parents, Roger and Kathy Woodley. They had been running the Bed & Breakfast from the farmhouse since 1972 and started to convert the barns into holiday cottages in 2004, completing them in 2008.
We offer a warm welcome to all guests and are on site should you need anything.Our attention to detail and dedication to creating a home-like atmosphere make Degembris Cottages a favorite spot for travellers.
As we continue to welcome guests to our 'little corner of Cornwall', we remain dedicated to preserving the charm and heritage of our delightful properties. Our plans for the future include expanding our sustainable practices, enhancing the guest experience, and sharing the beauty and tranquility of the Cornish countryside with all who visit.
