Millers Cottage and The Granary were originally owned by the miller who operated the water-powered corn mill and managed the surrounding land at Holburn Mill Farmhouse. While the exact construction date of the cottage is unknown, it has been inhabited for over 130 years. Historical records indicate that at least eight people once lived in Millers Cottage. The original fireplace in the living room, once used for cooking and heating, now features a wood burner that adds charm to the property. The Granary was a large open-plan store used for storing milled grain, which has been transformed into a sleek, modern, and comfortable apartment. Our family moved into the Farmhouse in 2016, and the property became a renovation project. Planning permission was obtained in 2018, with extensive work starting in 2019 and completing in 2020. Guests can enjoy a peaceful and tranquil setting alongside the historic charm of Millers Cottage and The Granary. The properties blend historic features with contemporary comforts, creating a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. Outside, guests can appreciate open views over the surrounding farmland, making for a truly relaxing stay
