LES PÉRIADES residence sits in the heart of Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, 200 meters from the nearest ski lift and the local ski school.

The building is located in front of the Montenvers train station, which provides a direct access to the famous "Mer de Glace", one of the most touristic places in France.

Scam! DO NOT STAY!

We arrived before 4:00pm, never received any check-in instructions from the host. They did not answer the phone or respond to any messages. We were forced to find other accommodations after 3 hours on the phone with VRBO. Thankfully VRBO helped us out. This place is a scam, do not stay here!

Not quite like the pictures

Make sure to bring your own hand soap/dish soap, towels, and bedding. When booking through the Vrbo site, we saw no indication that there would be no towels provided. Also, the bed had no linens on it, just a weird, scratchy, more like protective cover on it. Also there were some stains on the duvet that was provided. The listing is also inaccurate in that it states there are 2 TVs; however, there is just the 1 and it has two fuzzy lines that go through it on the right. Also be aware there is no Wifi provided (it is correctly not listed in the amenities, we just forgot to look out for this). The apartment itself has a really wonderful view and is walking distance to everything in Chamonix. It has a lot of potential, we were just thrown off by the basic amenities missing.

Great Location, Great View, No Soap

This place is in an amazing location with a spectacular view. It is a really short walk from the train station, close to downtown with restaurants and shopping. The unit was as pictured and very comfortable, although a little tight for 4 people, but we knew that going in. What surprised me was when I received an email after booking asking if I wanted sheets and towels and that they were an extra fee. I figured we are traveling internationally and things are just different (plus the nightly fee was really low) so I went with it. What I did not expect was that there would be no hand soap for the bathroom or dish soap for the kitchen and we were only given one partially used roll of toilet paper. We are a family of four backpacking with carry-on sized bags and aren't carrying those things with us. It just would have been nice to know going in. We managed, it was just surprising. Overall, it was a great unit, just expect extra costs with it beyond it's nightly rate.

Don't bother wasting your money

When we arrived the apartment has been clearly vacuumed but not cleaned properly. There was a disgusting mark by the side of the bed on the wall and water rings from glasses in the bathroom. I cleaned everything, although that was basically impossible as the only thing that was left for us was a tiny half used toilet paper. No cleaning products, no hand soap, no paper towel. Also the shower was broken so you have to hold it while you wash. The fitmet that attaches it to the wall broke off. And the shower plug doesn't drain so you just stand in your dirty water until it almost overflows. There were no sheets on the bed and although the leasing company said they emailed me in may to offer us sheets, i never received this email. When i asked if they could forward the email they sent it May, they ignored my request. They delivered them the next day for about 34EUR (for TWO nights!) but no towels come with them! be aware! We slept the first night with no sheets which was brutal. we had just come off a 15h flight and just wanted to have a good rest. The location is directly next to a road and the windows are single pane so it noise also kept us awake while we were there. There is no wifi (which I do know is listed), no dish rack or dish towels for drying dishes. there WAS some dish soap and a wet smelly sponge that i suspect another guest had left. There is a dishwasher but no tablets. I would recommend not wasting your time or money here.

Appartement limite en propriété douche cassé tv cassé 4 malheureux verres robinet de la cuisine tiens par magie nous avons appelé plusieurs fois Abritel qui nous a dit qu’en personne allez intervenir mais rien jusqu’à la fin du séjour à fuir !!!!

Ne pas oublier ses draps, serviettes et torchons. Agréable. Équipement de cuisine a minima. Un lave-linge et une place de parking seraient de vrais plus pour un séjour presque parfait.

Bruyant

Bel appartement avec une superbe vue sur le mont blanc mais situé juste devant la route principale de Chamonix et entre les 2 voies ferrées du train de la mer de glace et du train de la vallée donc très bruyant pendant la journée. Il manquait des équipements pour cuisiner mais le service de réservation a vite réagi pour nous les fournir. Très proche du centre-ville et des équipements sportifs. Parking gratuit à proximité.

Bel appartement, bien situé et propre. Manque quand même pas mal de vaisselle pour tous les jours et dommage qu'il n'y ai pas de place de parking...galère pour charger et décharger car on s'est pris une amende de stationnement
