The Space:
A beautiful, double-fronted Grade II Listed cottage bursting with warmth and character, dating back to the 18th century. The property is located in the heart of Penryn, just a stone's throw from the water's edge, and has a spacious, leafy garden out back.
Inside, it has been tastefully finished whilst maintaining lots of period features and remaining in keeping with the property. The kitchen features a large exposed stone wall and original flooring, as well as a ceramic butler sink, shaker-style cabinets, a gas hob and range cooker. Along with all the regular appliances, there's also a cafetiere for the coffee lovers. The dining room, with a stunning original sash window, has ample space for a full house to enjoy sociable dinners, whilst the living room is the perfect spot to snuggle up in front of the fire on velvet sofas.
Heading upstairs, you will notice a unique stained glass window that allows light to flood in across the landing. Five bedrooms comfortably sleep up to 10 guests in total. Three of the bedrooms have spacious king-size beds, one has a double bed, and the final attic room is made up of two separate single beds. These share two bathrooms, one on the ground level with a shower and the other upstairs with a large bathtub. For families with younger ones, there is a travel cot and a high chair.
Sunny days are best enjoyed out in the spacious walled garden, dining alfresco at sunset. There is ample seating for up to 10 guests. With free on-street parking right outside, this elegant period home is ideal for larger groups of families or friends looking to escape to the coast.
A maximum of 2 dogs are welcome. It is on the condition that they are not allowed on the sofas and beds, not left alone in the property and any mess in the garden cleaned up.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire property, apart from a storage room on the basement level.
The Neighborhood:
Steeped in history, the charming town of Penryn is quieter than its neighbour, Falmouth. You'll find mazes of quaint cobbled streets to explore, beautiful scenery to take in and a thriving artisan community. You're in the perfect spot to explore all that South Cornwall has to offer. Just under three miles away are the sandy beaches of Falmouth, as well as a high street full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. All are easily accessible via the train, which is only one stop to Falmouth Town and one more to the end of the line at Falmouth Docks.
The Helford River offers lots of opportunities for walking and cream tea eating! Whilst a little further afield is Porthleven, known for its fantastic pubs and the annual food festival, as well as Praa Sands for coastal paths and swimming or surfing opportunities.
Enys Gardens and Tea Rooms is a firm favourite of locals and is said to be the oldest gardens in Cornwall. Within the secret 30-acre gardens, you’ll find an open meadow known as Parc Lye, where the bluebells are breathtaking. From Penryn, you can catch the Falmouth Water Taxi and take a scenic trip on the river to picturesque villages such as St Mawes. Stop at a riverside pub such as the 13th-century Pandora Inn or visit the National Trust’s Trelissick House and Gardens.
Getting Around:
Parking on New Street is always free, and there is usually a spot directly outside the house. However, if there is more than one car and you can't find a space, Permarin Car Park is a 2-minute walk and cars can be left there for free at all times. Alternatively, the Commercial Road Car park is directly behind the house and is free of charge from 4 pm - 9 am.
