The Neighborhood:
Steeped in history, the charming town of Penryn is quieter than its neighbour, Falmouth. You'll find mazes of quaint cobbled streets to explore, beautiful scenery to take in and a thriving artisan community. You're in the perfect spot to explore all that South Cornwall has to offer. Just under three miles away are the sandy beaches of Falmouth, as well as a high street full of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. All are easily accessible via the train, which is only one stop to Falmouth Town and one more to the end of the line at Falmouth Docks.
The Helford River offers lots of opportunities for walking and cream tea eating! Whilst a little further afield is Porthleven, known for its fantastic pubs and the annual food festival, as well as Praa Sands for coastal paths and swimming or surfing opportunities.
Enys Gardens and Tea Rooms is a firm favourite of locals and is said to be the oldest gardens in Cornwall. Within the secret 30-acre gardens, you’ll find an open meadow known as Parc Lye, where the bluebells are breathtaking. From Penryn, you can catch the Falmouth Water Taxi and take a scenic trip on the river to picturesque villages such as St Mawes. Stop at a riverside pub such as the 13th-century Pandora Inn or visit the National Trust’s Trelissick House and Gardens.

This cottage not only had all the traditional features we were hoping for but also came with its own style which we loved.
The location was perfect for exploring both North and South Cornwall and was a lovely restful space after a busy day.

Perfect Cornish getaway
My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time in Penryn. The house itself is fab- both stylish and practical. The beds were comfy, kitchen really well equipped, powerful shower and a nice deep bath! It was everything we needed for a brilliant holiday.
Great property, good sized rooms, close to town centre.
A great home in a nice little harbour side town. If you hunt out the places to eat and drink, there are a few great ones. The home is spacious, well maintained and close to amenities
