We had a great time while in Exuma. The house was exactly what we expected. We had plenty of room, the pool was heated, easy access to the beach, all the amenities available (laundry, kitchen supplies, cooler, beach/pool towels, etc.). We would stay here again.

Marco Polo was the perfect combination of a great living space with a pool and a great beach right out front. Its central location made exploring both ends of the island relatively easy, access to groceries was very convenient, and bars and restaurants were nearby. The well appointed kitchen made meal preparation easy, and the property featured numerous outdoor spaces from which to take in the views. Fresh seafood was easy to find and was best cooked on the barbecue grill on the deck. Needless to say it was easy to instantly feel at home but very difficult to have to leave.

Sunrise & Sunsets, Effortless Family Fun!

Marco Polo is a fantastic home, The beach, steps away, the pool is perfect and the beach cabana provided ultimate R&R with the most amazing sunsets and storm cloud an over the harbor ! The host(s) were all fantastic and very accommodating! The house is beautiful, had everything we needed and then some! It was also very clean, check in was smooth and the whole process was effortless, this really made our Bahamas Vacation one we will never forget ! There was plenty to occupy 8 & 10 year old boys! They didn’t want to leave, we will definitely be back in the near future! Pictures do noting justice on Exuma including Marco Polo so we give it a 10/10 !

Love it!!

We absolutely loved staying here. It was our first time to Exuma and the water is just beautiful! The house is well laid out and well equipped! The beach and pool were perfect for us! We figured out our way around the island and found the grocery markets and ate at the Yacht Club a few times. Keep in mind the island restaurants close early, as do the stores, so be prepared for that. Judy, the property manager was helpful and when our van didn’t work out she was able to have a car delivered to the house. We would definitely stay here again! We just got back and I already miss Marco Polo house!!

Rang in 2025 in Paradise

Two families of 4 had an amazing week at this beautiful house with absolutely stunning views of crystal clear, calm water perfect for relaxing at the beach with little ones. The management team was helpful and quick to respond to questions and arranged an amazing excursion for all of us.

Beach fun

We were 3 couples ready for a beach destination. We loved the location and the property. Everything was as described. Great place to stay with family and friends for a beach getaway.

Best on the beach

Tough to write this as I don’t want it to be booked all the time. Great house, location, everything. Get a massage on the gazebo in the front yard by the ocean. It’s like having your own resort.

Incredible stay in Exuma

Wait no more, book this place!! We stayed here with our four boys and we all agree it was the best vacation home we have ever stayed in. The location is PERFECT. Nestled right on a most beautiful beach we’ve ever seen and it felt like it was all ours. We only saw one other person on the beach our entire stay. The location is super convenient to everything the island has to offer. We were within a 5 minute drive to the grocery store, a 10 minute drive to town and only 15 minutes to the airport. Decor and vibe was on point and the house came with everything we could have needed. We cooked some amazing meals in the kitchen and on the grill. And THE MATTRESSES. Best sleep I’ve ever had. I could go on and on…We made so many wonderful memories in this house and will definitely be back!

FABULOUS!!!!!

This was one of the best beach vacations we have ever had, and Marco Polo is one of the most amazing vacation homes we’ve ever rented! The location is perfect; close to everything you need and you basically have your own private beach. The view is stunning. The house is well laid out for everyone to have some privacy, but with plenty of indoor and outdoor common areas. It was clean and well stocked. The pool was great, and we enjoyed the kayaks.Judy, the on-island manager / concierge was great. We rented a van from her, which was waiting for us at the airport. We also did the private chef dinners 4 times, and they were delicious. Highly recommend that to make your vacation even more relaxing.As many other reviewers have mentioned, the beds, pillows and linens are very comfortable. The only thing “negative” (and it’s not a big deal) is that some of the furnishings / cushions could use some updating. But that did not keep us from thoroughly enjoying our time at Marco Polo, and we all hope to go back! DO NOT HESITATE TO BOOK THIS BEAUTIFUL VACATION HOME!!!!!

Wide blue yonder…on earth

Just another synonym for heavenly…which is how we feel about Marco Polo. The house is meant for a family that loves to be together and enjoys life…who wake up wanting walk the beach, to swim in the ocean, don a scuba mask, or paddle the harbor in a kayak…later walk across the street to the ice cream/candy store…or take a short drive to one of the local restaurants for great food and amazing views. There you engage in endless chats with people who have lived in Exuma all their lives or come from far away places and feel blessed for the privilege….please don't take my week but if you love kalik, flip flops, sun, white sand, amazing teal water and a house (which is is also a loved home with a story to tell) with everything you need and comfy beds, a grill, perfect pool, and deck …this is the perfect place for you. I won't repeat what was said in each review but they all teach…heat the pool if you go in February, visit the Krusty Crab, go to the Haulover, take an ATV tour that gets you to a sand dollar beach where others can't get all the whole ones…above all take pics of your loved ones. Thanks J&C for letting us stay and Judy and team for making it easy.

Fantastic Beach House!

Stayed at Marco Polo for 7 nights in June. What an amazing property! We had two adults and 3 kids (ages 16,18 & 19). Location of the property was perfect. Directly on what is essentially a beautiful private beach. Only a short 5 minute drive into Georgetown to access grocery stores, liquor store, boat rental and the restaurants there. The property was spotless when we arrived and comes well equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals and enjoy your time at the house. The views from both outside and inside the house are straight from a postcard. Beds and linens were very comfortable and there is ample room inside and out on the deck to spread out and relax. The property listing and pictures honestly do not do this place justice. It is clear the owners put a lot of work into the property and take very good care of it. Already planning a return trip to Exuma and will defined stay here again. Have rented a lot of properties throughout the Caribbean and Bahamas and this has become our new favorite. Judy, who lives on Exuma and helps take care of the property was such pleasure to talk to and work with.

Close to perfection!

The anticipation for this vacation was so high that I almost had to temper my expectations. And having heard so many before me have situations with VRBOs that "switch" or "cancel" at the last minute, I was tentative right from the start - especially when the host was a bit reserved with information. BEST VACATION EVER! When we arrived, it was a delight to the senses. Each member had his/her own space, the beach was taunting us and the pool was twinkling. The host had a few items covered that otherwise might have been forgotten. Our singular caveat to perfection was that the property manager was slow (days) to respond when we requested more TP and water (bubbler). Add to that the Easter holiday weekend (stores closed or hard to access for 4 days) and it was a bit dicey!!! Nevertheless, I wouldn't scar this rating for that (but dear host please tell your property manager that being slow isn't good for people on vacation). This is a winner property!

All you need

We had a wonderful time at Marco Polo House. We are a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 kids. The home was very clean and mostly ready for our arrival. The pool was to be heated upon arrival and was not. It also had a little bit of an algae issue on the second day; leaving the pool temporarily unusable. Hosts/managers were notified and the issues were corrected in a reasonable time frame and we loved using the pool the rest of our time there. We were even refunded part some of our money without asking, which was very nice. The home is set up very well for 2 families with kids. Beds and living spaces are comfortable and practical. There is an outside bathroom and shower; which were great given the amount of time spent outside. We used the kayaks daily. There are some lifejackets there for adults and kids. There are also some pool floaties and snorkles/fins for the kids to use. We did have a private chef for one evening while there, reservations set up by manager Judy. The chef was lovely and the food was great! Chocolate cake was a hit for the kids and she even left the left over cake for them to enjoy later. The beach access from this house doesn't get any better. You walk directly down to the beach from the house. There is a public access point right next to the house to the beach, but that didn't bother us. It was used very little by others and we had the beach to ourselves most of the time. We would definitely stay again!

Dream Vacation

This was our third time renting a home on the beach on Exuma, and this home by far was our favorite. Location: Close to town and airport. Very convenient, felt safe. Close to highway, short driveway, but once you went inside and out back, the road noise was not noticable. Common area: Cozy, clean, welcoming, open floor plan. Cute decor. TV worked great. Board games. Comfy couches. Kitchen: Modern working appliances. Clean. Great views. We cooked almost every meal, kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities. Fresh sponge and dish soap was a nice surprise. We appreciated the water cooler. These details are what set the hosts and this home apart from others. Bathrooms: Clean. Fully updated. Plenty of hotel quality towels. Consistent water pressure and temperature. Bedrooms: Clean. Hotel quality pillows, sheets, and comfy, firm mattresses. TV's all worked. Pool: Clean. Heated. Fantastic view. Perfection!!! Back deck: SHOW STOPPER! Plenty of seating and lounging, the grill worked great,we used it almost every night. The view is STUNNING. Truly paradise at your back door. There is a gorgeous cabana closer to the beach with lots of comfy seating also. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Beach: UNBELIEVABLE! Next to a public access, but we only saw a few people all week. Kayaks and beach chairs were a great addition. Hosts: accommodating, friendly, quick to respond. Overall: Absolute dream vacation at Marco Polo. It was our home away from home, and hope to return.

Perfection!

As beautiful as the pictures are, it’s even better in person. There is a stash of beach towels and bags great for groceries or toting stuff to the beach which is only steps away. There are also beach chairs and 3 kayaks. Great snorkeling by the rock to the left and the point by the rope bridge to the right. It was perfect to be directly on Elizabeth Harbor as we were able to stop at the house when needed on days we rented a boat. The house is close to stores and Georgetown and our teens walked to the candy shop along the road across the street. The house is clean with plenty of space and sitting areas. I’m not sure if they always provide it but there we were thankful for the bug spray which is needed during the rainy season, especially in the evenings. These owners have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable during their stay at this beautiful property! We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect!

Marco Polo is a wonderful home! Very well decorated, comfortable, and clean, with several different areas in the home to relax or gather with family and friends. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need and then some. Jennifer the owner was very helpful and responsive. We loved the beach view and proximity to Georgetown. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Amazing

The house is like the pictures but even better. The property was well maintained and very clean. Beds and furniture were comfortable. The kitchen had everything needed to cook. Then the outdoor, what can you say other than its amazing. Beautiful semi private beach, great bbq area, outdoor shower made from a Bahamas Telco phone booth! We would come back in a heartbeat.

This house was perfect for my family; space, beach, close to town, modern, well equipped..

The owner has provided everything guests might need. The beach was almost private due to its location. The large deck with lots of seating made the perfect spot for morning coffee and night time chats. Each bedroom had a mini-split so there were no temperature disagreements. The kitchen was well stocked and modern. The people in George Town were friendly and fun. If we ever return, we will definitely want to revisit Marco Polo.

Paradise Found

Marco Polo is amazing. With a huge kitchen, dining , living area and sunroom in the middle of the house, the 4 bedrooms around the edges provided some privacy. We all agreed that the beds are SO COMFORTABLE! The kitchen is well stocked and we lacked for nothing when we cooked or grilled. We loved the sandy beach and could view the beautiful water from the house. Kayaks, beach chairs, masks, snorkels, floats - this place has it all! The location is convenient to the airport, a grocery store and Prime Meat Market. Good restaurants are close by and we could easily get to our excursions. Jennifer, the owner, was quick to respond to all our questions and provided valuable information. Judy took great care of us from questions before we arrived to meeting us at the airport with a car to stocking our water. Everything was perfect and we can’t wait to go back. We will definitely stay in Marco Polo again.

Incredible stay and cannot wait to return!

We are hesitant to write such a rave review because we want to keep this house all to ourselves, but this place deserves it :) The pictures online do not do this place justice! We are overwhelmed with how gorgeous this house and beach were. The beach in and of itself was breathtaking and we were absolutely spoiled! The house was modern and just what we needed. Our hosts were extremely responsive and lovely! We can't wait to come back!
