Bowe Cay, Exhuma
Upon arrival at Bowe Cay, the 6 of us (my husband, two married children and myself) were struck by the beauty. The trip over through crystal clear blue water was amazing in itself, but here we were surrounded by blue. The beach sand is very soft. The chaise lounges were high quality and comfortable. There is a nice outdoor table for enjoying meals outside. We used the fire pit a couple of times, marveling at the stars with no light pollution. We were fortunate enough to watch a small meteor shower. The outdoor shower was key. Close to the door and seemed to always be warm.The main house has a very large couch and table to accommodate all. The kitchen was very well equipped. No dull knives here thankfully! The cooking pans were also very nice. Ample silverware, glassware and plates to use. The house has views everywhere so you can look at a mangrove while washing your dinner dishes.The master bedroom was quite large and had nice seating areas. The bed was comfy. The master bath did what it needed well.The outbuildings where the kids slept were very nice scaled down versions of the main house.This is a very clean, well-maintained property. Sam, our boat driver and tour guide was super attentive. He took us to some beautiful spots!We have stayed in the Bahamas many times. We have never stayed where you could don your mask and snorkel and swim out close to a reef and see an aquarium. It was more than fantastic!We had a wonderful time!
