Casa Sundowner, frente a la playa, una de las mejores vistas de la isla. Duerme 6.

Sundowner House se encuentra con una vista incomparable del hermoso mar azul claro. Puedes ver a los peces pasar nadando desde el patio, ¡idealmente a la hora del "atardecer"! La casa se encuentra a 35 pies sobre el mar y a 25 metros de ella, frente a la playa y nadando con seguridad. Hoopers Bay es una de las más bellas de la isla y extremadamente tranquila. La casa tiene tres habitaciones, 2 dobles y una con dos camas individuales. Hay un amarre en frente de la casa. Todas las salas de estar tienen ventiladores, aire acondicionado y una vista al mar sin obstáculos. En respuesta a los comentarios hechos por un inquilino, tomamos en cuenta lo que se dijo y decidimos darle a Sundowner un lavado de cara, y se llevaron a cabo las siguientes renovaciones. Las unidades de cocina, fregadero y barra fueron reemplazados, y se compró un nuevo refrigerador / congelador. Para el comedor, se proporciona una nueva mesa de comedor con 6 sillas. Todos los pisos de cerámica agrietados en la casa fueron reemplazados. El dormitorio principal tiene un piso de mosaico nuevo, una nueva cama king size en 2018, mientras que el baño ha sido completamente renovado. Ahora tiene una ducha a ras de suelo. Para no terminar allí, la habitación número 2 tiene una cocina eléctrica nueva y un nuevo sillón de dos plazas. El patio tiene 4 tumbonas nuevas.

Dos caminos conducen desde la casa, que se unen y luego lo llevan a algunos pasos hacia la hermosa playa.
Exuma es una de las mejores zonas de pesca de huesos del mundo, y tiene algunos de los mares más limpios y limpios para nadar, bucear o bucear. Las instalaciones están disponibles en George Town para hacer todas estas cosas, y también para alquilar embarcaciones. Se han colocado folletos en la casa para ayudarlo en este asunto.

Excellent location

Great communication with owner from the start. Fully-equipped kitchen. On one of the best beaches in Exuma. We had plenty of space for our family of 5.

This house was in the perfect location. Right in between Smitty's and Prime Island Meats. Geoffrey was so helpful and informative. The house had everything you needed and a beautiful view. Not sure what else you could ask for.

We had a fantastic Monday through Friday stay at Sundowner. It is a perfect location and convenient to the airport and Georgetown. The beach and water are just steps away and the veranda has a gorgeous view for your morning coffee. There is an excellent blender for making your own cocktails and the convenience store is just down the street. Geoff’s recommendations in our welcome letter were spot on. We enjoyed a couple of great dinners at the Exuma Yacht Club which is about an 8 minute drive away. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful property and hosts. They sent us detailed information about the island and it was so helpful when we had their recommendations for renting a boat and other things to go see and do! Highly recommend. The beach was like our own private beach and they had plenty of floats and things to hang out in the water for hours with. From exploring many other beaches on the island and stocking island…the beach at the house was our favorite beach, next to the sandbar of course. :)

Wow. Can't say enough about our stay. Steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches. Just FYI we saw many turtles when snorkeling steps from the house. The house owner Geoff was great at sending emails with things to do. We will definitely going to be back next year.

Absolutely incredible

My family and I booked the Sundowner for a week, and it was incredible. Jenny was so kind and helpful, even when I accidently mixed up phone numbers and called her at what I'm sure was an egregious hour. The house was very clean and had what we needed to cook and clean. It even had seasonings. The crown jewel though was the ocean. Absolutely glowing with that turquoise Bahamian blue water. Just a very short walk down to a beautiful secluded beach. We will absolutely be back. What an amazing trip!

First time at Sundowner House

This was our first stay at Sundowner House. We had been to Exuma the previous two years but had stayed at a different location. We found Sundowner to be extremely conveniently located. Walking distance to Prime Meats and Mikes Pizza and less than five minutes from Smittys grocery and pharmacy. The house was clean and spacious with fantastic views and great beach frontage. You can be in Georgetown in less than 10 minutes from there and the airport is close by as well. The owner was communicative and even offers to have a few groceries on hand which can be a huge help especially if you are arriving on a Sunday as most things close early that day (if they open at all). There is also a local property manager close by that was responsive if you need than. Great stay and wonderful place. We will definitely book again.

Located right in the beach and most of the time felt like a private beach. The house is nice but older and well maintained. Would stay here again.

Best location on Hoopers Bay

Stayed here 3 times. Can’t beat the location and size of the property. Slightly elevated so the views of Hoopers Bay are awesome. Steps away from one of the nicest beaches in Exuma. Easy to get to Georgetown, Smittys, or Prime market. Great house that we will book again.

Amazing home!!!

What a cute, comfy cottage vibe with everything you could need for a lovely vacation. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms made it so nice, with each BR having access to their own full bath. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. No dishwasher, and that would have been nice, but not a big deal. Beds were fine, everything was clean!The VIEW!!! Simply stunning!! Quick walk to the beach, some steps, so must be able to walk well to navigate. Lots of blow up floats. One thing I really missed was having sand chairs!! That was the only thing that I coveted, all else was lovely. Our host and liaison were warm, responsive and kind. The house cleaner, a gem. Great location! Rent this home!

Location is EVERYTHING!

Sundowner is sweetly positioned on one of the best bay's on the island with the clearest water and the most pristine beaches! The beach makes for a beautiful morning and evening walk with no bugs. Down by the docks, the weeds allow for a great beach shelling spot. There's a natural reef/structure to the left of the beach that has amazing fish (Barracuda, Sea Turtle, Sea Cucumber, Starfish). There was a resident shark that visited a few times. We weren't too worried as we know Lemon Sharks are fairly common on the island. Geoff, and Jenny were amazing hosts and anytime we had questions, they were there to answer! The house itself had most everything you need for a successful stay. Plan on buying/bringing toilet paper, paper towels, tin foil, kleenex, etc. LOVED having a walkout for each room! The patio was our daily resting spot for boat watching. Smitty's down the road was great for basic things like gallon drinking water (cheapest), and a full pharmacy. Prime Meats is walking distance, be aware, the last hour of the day, is hectic. Locals come get last minute items. For pizza, we preferred Splash more than Mike's (pizza battle). Peace & Plenty has resident Turtles. MINOR Feedback - 1) Driveway walls are super tight for vans. Add gravel to bottom to prevent bottoming out (every time). 2) Low patio walls can be sketchy for littles. 3) Kept having small bugs getting in from somewhere on the counters & food. 4) Master shower door doesn't close all the way. 5) Grill vent rusted.

Spectacular setting and location!

The view from this home is fantastic, the most peaceful and serene broad look across Hooper's Bay and out towards the outer barrier islands in the distance. I've been all over the Caribbean and never seen more beautiful water.The living room and all three bedrooms look out over the water. The deck/patio that is right off the living room and all bed rooms is a great place to hangout, whether for morning coffee, a late day cocktail, or any other time.The beach was pristine, fine white sand, and virtually uninhabited for its entire width (this was the week before Christmas).Home has everything you need, kitchen is very thoroughly appointed, furnishings are functional if not the most current / "luxuriously" comfortable but that is the only nit I would make, and the entire experience of the house is overwhelmingly positive.Communication with the owner and the local caretaker was thorough, clear, and very quick to respond. The owner provides some excellent guidance on local restaurants and attractions, and even recommended a boat charter captain who we used, was a fantastic experience and less expensive than others on the island.Bottom line, I would absolutely return to the Sundowner.

Short Family Christmas Trip

We stayed at the Sundowner house for 3 nights. The location was perfect. The view was spectacular! The house is clean. Views from all three bedrooms and the living room. Nice outside sitting area. The house has everything you will need. It is an older home, nothing fancy.

We enjoyed our first time in Exuma. The house is a perfect location with a beautiful beach. The view is spectacular and the water is so blue! The house is showing some wear but it was fine for us. We spend most of our time outside anyway. Jenny was great and answered any questions we had. We would recommend this house.

Functional

First, location is great and the views from the deck are spectacular. From there, I would call the house functional. Don't expect a bunch of bells and whistles with this one other that the view and location. Three bedroom and three bathroom worked for our group. The kitchen was well stocked and everything worked but there was nothing spectacular about it with a small cook top and no dishwasher. Being right on the beach was great but if you have issues with hills or stairs, you are going to want to stay away as it is a trip down a significant hill to get to the beach. A few beach items were in the storage room but no chairs (note that the owner states that beach gear is questionable so no complaints from this). Would we stay here again? Maybe but it wouldn't be my first choice.

Paradise is for real!

My stay at the property on Exuma Island in the Bahamas was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we arrived, we were utterly amazed by the breathtaking location. Nestled in a serene and picturesque setting, this house truly had everything we needed and more. The interior was impeccably furnished, providing all the comforts of home. Each room was thoughtfully designed, and the amenities exceeded our expectations. Whether it was the fully equipped kitchen, the cozy living spaces, or the stunning views from every window, we felt right at home. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the beach. It was, without a doubt, the best beach I have ever seen. The soft, powdery sand and the crystal-clear turquoise waters were simply mesmerizing. We spent countless hours soaking up the sun, swimming in the gentle waves, and marveling at the natural beauty surrounding us. This property on Exuma Island offered us a slice of paradise that we will never forget. It was the perfect getaway, providing both relaxation and adventure. British, and my father first bought land on Exuma in 1964. He was formerly an RAF pilot and airline Captain, but passed away in 2020 aged 94! I inherited it and am now fully retired. The first house on Exuma Dad had built on Tar Bay, but we needed more protection from hurricanes so moved location to the current one in over 30nyesrs ago.
