The property is really magnificient, very private, with breathtaking and stunning views over the Nisportino bay and Mediterranean Sea. The house is literally few steps up over the nice clean beach with the excellent Ristorante & Bar "La Battigia". The restaurant offers excellent meals all day, the reservation for the dinner is needed. The house is equipped very simple, but functionally, cleanless perfect, kitchen is suitable for basic cooking (you must buy all ingrediences, no storages of any on place). The nearest shop (supermarket Incoop, very good equipped) is 15 minutes by car, there is not a small grocery in Nisportino, so you need to manage it in advance. Most of the time we spent at the nice terrace just in the front of the kitchen and at the terrace with sunbeds and sunchairs few steps from the house with amazing views over the sea. Luigi is a very kind person, speaking only Italian, very very small English, but it was really not a problem! He is a very caretaking host able to explain all what is needed, always keeping smile :) Thank you Luigi for the unforgettable holiday at your property! P.S. We left in the house 2 wine glasses for the next guests brought by us from home, because some of the previous guests claimed in the review no presence of the wine glasses in the cupboard...Enjoy your glas of wine! :)

We went to Nisportino in late September when the season was ending. Despite that most of the museums and places of interest were still open and events being held. We were greeted by Cristiano and Sonia who live on site. They were the prefect hosts and luckily for us spoke very good English. The apartment is just the right size for two people whether you want to stay near the beach or use it as a base to travel around the island. Actually you can not get any closer to the beach, it is literally 120 seconds walk from the apartment. We like snorkelling and were not disappointed with the beach which is in a small cove. There were plenty of fish to see even very close to the shore. as with all the beaches on Elba the sea can be a little rough if the wind is in a certain direction, but that did not spoil our stay, actually it can be quite fun. The apartment was very clean and very well equipped with an easy to use oven, not just a hot plate, so we were able to cater for ourselves without having to improvise. In fact the apartment had a high level of facilities compared to others we have stayed in. Although the village does not have a shop there is a Coop a short drive away, and there is a very good restaurant on the beach. At the time we stayed Nisportino was very quiet with just a few local people coming to enjoy the beach. However you are always being watched, rather than just reading about the wild life you can actually see it here. We saw mountain goats, wild boar, lots of butterfly’s, common toads (as big as a mans hand but very placid) a variety of birds and of course both species of lizards. The village and beach are very clean and there are some nice walks to be found. Although at the North East of the island it is not difficult to get around as the village is only a short distance from routes to the North and South. Cristiano and Sonia were very helpful and generous, giving us an insight into not only the culture and history but also current events on Elba and ideas for trips and visits. They were the perfect hosts, there when we asked advise but not at all intrusive. We had a fantastic time and if we return, for a third time, to Elba a stay with Cristiano and Sonia will be very high on our list. If you have never been to Elba and are seeking somewhere away from the major resorts, this would be a prefect place.

We spent 1 week in Capoliveri and we had so much relax! The location is beautiful and only few minutes walk to the beach. The house is perfect for 2 people, well equipped and furnished with the special taste from Alessandra, the landlord who welcomed us as we were friends. We strongly recommend!
