Cottage " I due Pini"

This cottage, created from a former farm outbuilding adjacent to the main house, is nestled among the green olive groves on the hillside near Cortona. It offers a quiet and characteristic setting with beautiful views of Lake Trasimeno and the Val di Chiana. Private, fenced garden and shared family parking are available. The interior comprises a spacious living room with a fully equipped open-plan kitchen (dishwasher, oven, microwave, etc.), a sofa bed (for two), a bedroom with a 170 cm double bed, and a bathroom with shower, toilet, bidet, and washing machine. The living room leads to an outdoor patio with a barbecue overlooking the garden. Free internet and Wi-Fi are available. The owners (native French speakers and English speakers) will welcome you on-site. Linen and bath changes are available upon request and can be paid for on-site. Ideal for a relaxing holiday but also as a base for visiting the nearby art cities of Siena, Florence, Perugia, Assisi, and Arezzo. The Terontola-Cortona train station is just 2 km away, and the Autostrada del Sole (A1) motorway is easily accessible (Valdichiana toll booth).

Lovely home and beautiful landscape

The house is very well equipped with all kitchen appliances you need, even a splendid BBQ on the terrace. I didn't miss a thing; it was perfect. The boiler was defect, but promptly replaced. So, that doesn't count. The hosts are marvellous, including the friendly dogs. The area is fantastic; you don't even have to reach out very far. I did a hike starting at the house up a hill with wonderful views to lake Trasimeno through nature in blossom. Beautiful!

We had the most wonderful stay at I Due Pini.The house itself was spotless, comfortable and surrounded by a garden that our dog absolutely loved – plenty of space for her to play and for us to relax under the olive trees.But what truly made the stay unforgettable were the hosts. The two sisters are the kind of people you rarely meet when traveling: genuinely warm, incredibly thoughtful, and always there if you need them – but never intrusive. From the very first communication everything felt easy and welcoming. When we arrived, there was homemade cake waiting for us, and every morning their own dog greeted us at the window as if to say “buongiorno.”The location is extraordinary to travel the "real Italian" to see all the small, romantic and hidden villages. We went to about and over 10 castles, fortress and squares, across the map star-shaped. On our last day, they surprised us again with homemade fig jam “to remember us by” – and honestly, we could never forget them. Their kindness turned a lovely holiday home into something that felt like a temporary home of our own.We couldn’t recommend I Due Pini more – whether you’re traveling as a couple, with family, or (like us) with a dog. It’s the perfect mix of peace, comfort and heartfelt hospitality.

Relaxing week in southern Tuscany

The house was an ideal location for visiting southern Tuscany and lago Trasimeno (strictly in Umbria...). It is comfortable and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Check in was easy... Paolina provided exact GPS co-ordinates and finding the house was straightforward - we were met by Estelle and were soon settled in and sat in the terrace with a glass of wine. During the week we walked in the hills above Cortona, around Chiusure in the val d'Orcia and these were lovely, but because the weather was so good - it was very warm walking! Sightseeing we stayed fairly close to home; Cortona, Arezzo and Montepulciano and doubtless missed many other fine places nearby. We drove around lago Trasimeno and enjoyed Castiglione del Lago (excellent truffle omelette for lunch) and Passignano sul Trasimeni (fine aperitivos overlooking the lake). We ate in Cortona at the Osteria del Teatro (twice) and the Trattoria Toscana. The cooking at the Osteria is doubtless finer but the grilled veal chop at the trattoria will live on in my memory for a long time! We were lucky with the weather and were able to spend most of our time at the house relaxing on the terrace - we BBQ'd twice and were able to eat outside the whole week. All in all, this was a splendid week in a relaxing house... we enjoyed it very much.

posizione, accoglienza e tranquillità sono i punti di forza di questa struttura. Se sei un runner o un camminatore, ci sono chilometri e chilometri di ciclabile del Lago Trasimeno a pochi minuti. TOP !!!

Insgesamt war es sehr schön. Es ist im Haus alles vorhanden, was man sich wünschen kann. Angefangen von der Küchenzeile mit Geschirrspüler, großem Kühlschrank mit einem großem Eisfach, Waschmaschine etc..Man ist für sich, hat einen Garten über 2 Terrassen und einen großen eigenen Parkplatz. Alles sehr hübsch dekoriert und bepflanzt, jeder kann sich hier mit Sicherheit wohlfühlen. Super Aussicht aus dem Hauptfenster in die Ebene. Super funktionierende Klimaanlagen jeweils im Haupt- und Schlafzimmer. Gerne wieder...

Un super séjour

Nous avons séjourné une semaine à Terontola Alta Un endroit stratégique qui se situe au centre de nombreux points d'intérêts et proche du superbe lac de Trasimeno. Nous étions logés dans une jolie petite maison confortable, bien équipée et très très bien entretenue, nichée dans dans les oliviers. Cette maison possède plusieurs terrasses avec table à manger, salon de jardin, chaises longues. C'est vraiment un très bel endroit. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Martine et Estelle. Estelle a été notre interlocutrice principale durant notre séjour pour sa générosité, sa disponibilité

Gemütliches Ferienhaus in schöner, günstiger Lage

Ein gemütliches Ferienhaus in schöner, ruhiger Lage. Mit allem, was man für einen angenehmen Urlaub braucht (und bei kühlem Wetter beheizbar, ohne Zusatzkosten!). Die Vermieterinnen sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die schöne, private Terrasse ist zur Hälfte überdacht und geht in einen kleinen Garten über, von dem man bei gutem Wetter den Sonnenuntergang über dem Val di Chiana genießen kann. Und wenn man die Straße ein kurzes Stück bergauf geht, hat man einen weiten Blick übers Land und den Traseminer See. Ca. 2 km entfernt liegt der Bahnhof Terontola (kostenfreie Parkplätze) - ideal für Besuche in Perugia, Assisi, Orvieto, Arezzo bis Florenz und Rom.

Wir waren nur eine Woche dort, aber es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Man ist sehr schnell am See und mit dem Hund kann man auch gut laufen.

Tutto perfetto!

L’appartamento è ben attrezzato e pulito, lo spazio esterno con il barbecue è la chicca di questo appartamento. Si trova in mezzo alla natura proprio per una vacanza in totale tranquillità e a 20 minuti per Cortona che è una città davvero bella e suggestiva. Paolina e le loro figlie sono state davvero squisite, lo consiglio vivamente se abbiamo l’occasione di tornare in Toscana soggiorneremo di nuovo qui.

Vacanza perfetta

Una splendida vacanza la casa e' perfetta per una coppia come noi che ha anche un piccolo cane che puo' gironzolare all'aperto nel giardino. Posizione tra gli uliveti molto "nature";abbiamo avuto anche la visita di un capriolo;molto cordiali le signore Martine e Stella e soprattutto Paolina con cui abbiamo scambiato una lunga e simpatica chiaccherata. Speriamo di poterci ritornare.

Cosy et bien situé
