Set only moments from glorious Worthing seafront Seashell cottage is the perfect seaside retreat for all the family. Nestled off the main road amongst the historic town houses this pretty spot is ideal for holidaying with friends or family. Sit in the front garden in the cute terrace area watching the world go by or tuck yourself into the cosy courtyard back garden draped with wisteria.

This wonderful holiday cottage is not just in a fantastic location for the sea front; it has its own claim to fame as it is featured in the award winning 1987 film ‘Wish you were here' starring Emily Lloyd.

Seashell Cottage sleeps four people and includes a living room with good sized television and log burner. After a busy day of exploration or chilly walk on the winter's beach hunker down here and enjoy a hot cup of cocoa and movie - perhaps ‘Wish you here'; there will be a copy on the dresser for anyone keen to spot the scene the cottage on the big screen.

There is plenty of dining space with room to entertain while not out at one of the many popular restaurants nearby. The separate dining room has a large family table suitable for six people. Seashell Cottage has a well equipped kitchen with everything you will need to cook up a feast whilst on your holiday. The cottage has an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, washing machine, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, teapot & microwave as well as all utensils and dinnerware you will need.
Just a couple of minutes' walk away there is an excellent seafood restaurant called ‘The Crabshack' as included in the photographs. Within walking distance also we would recommend the Italian, Cucinetta Bistro and PITCH restaurant serving modern European food run be masterchef champion Kenny Tutt.

Seashell Cottage has two beautifully decorated bedrooms. One twin and one double. The family bathroom has been carefully re-designed to include a separate WC as well as in the main bathroom. No need to wait while someone has a long hot bath or shower!

Roadside parking is available at the cottage and permits will be provided. If you are holidaying without a car there is plenty to do nearby and excellent travel links. Worthing train station takes you to Brighton in moments, Chichester, Arundel and London.

Worthing pier is a short walk away and is well worth a visit for the amusements. Denton gardens is on your doorstep along the sea front. Perfect for a picnic off the beach. Here are also lovely local shops selling arts and crafts. The sea front café here has wonderful views out to sea and also behind includes a sandy volley ball pitch.

Great central location, close to shops, transit and beach. Cottage was clean and updated with lots of natural light. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Beautiful cottage close to the sea

This lovely cottage is the perfect place to stay in Worthing - very close to the sea, pier, shops and restaurants. We didn't use our car at all (we got parked outside the house, but you need to give your registration number ahead of time for the permit). The cottage is cosy, warm, homely, and well-equipped. We especially appreciated the decorations at Christmas. We hope to return again.

Immaculate cottage, perfect location.

One of the cleanest and well kept properties we have stayed in. Perfect location for the promenade and shops, five minutes walk to Waitrose meant we hardly moved the car. Lovely touches like the welcome pack, hand soap and dishwasher/washing machine supplies as well as outdoor line and pegs to hang washing outdoors. I think guests help to maintain the condition of the property as it is so perfectly tended to. Useful information folder too.

Beautiful house

Top service provided. Top location. Very modern and beautiful house. Quiet location. Good selection of restaurants near by. House is maintained on a very high level. We felt at home from the very first second. Parking can be a challenge, particular on a weekend. We would recommend this house without any restriction. Enjoyed our stay.

Second visit to this hidden gem.

Returned to this property as we were so pleased with it in 2021, and the second time we appreciated it even more as we realised how close it was to everything . A comfortable and clean quaint property . Round the corner from the beach, with shops bars, restaurants, theatre and cinema all close at hand. Opportunities to travel by train with station only 20 minutes away. Trips to Brighton, Littlehampton and Portsmouth were all easy accessible. Lovely to come home to a comfortable cottage after a day of adventures.

Seashell Cottage is beautifully presented and meticulously clean with everything you can possibly need for a self catering holiday. A generous welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The cottage is in an ideal location close to bars, restaurants,shops and of course the beach and promenade. Free parking by way of a parking permit is an added bonus. Karen is the perfect host and works hard to make sure her guest’s stay is trouble free. Anyone contemplating staying at Seashell Cottage will not be disappointed. There is a large basket of sea shells on the dresser in the lounge with a note from Karen telling guests to choose a sea shell in memory of their stay, what a lovely gesture. We would love to go back and hope to be able to do so some time in the future.

Short stay in Worthing

Seashell Cottage was immaculate and very well appointed with an excellent welcome package including all essentials plus wine and snacks. The rooms are of a good size and well appointed with lots of storage and comfortable beds. The shower room was excellent with a good shower. Separate WC upstairs as well. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The only negative was a slight musty smell downstairs which was helped with opening the windows. A parking permit was prearranged with parking free in the vicinity. Easy walking distance to local amenities and beach.

Beautiful and cosy cottage by the sea

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage, it was so beautiful and cosy. Lovely lay out and well equipped - has everything you need. Short walk to the beach and shops and other facilities. Welcome goodies on arrival too which was a nice touch. Easy to park and to drive to other areas. Excellent value for money.

Perfect Home

This was the nicest holiday home I ever stayed in, very clean, super comfy beds, perfectly stocked kitchen even a bottle of wine on arrival!! Parking was no problem especially with the permit provided, the location is also excellent with shops, pubs, restaurants and the seafront nearby. You book through Henry Adams who are also very reliable, all in all faultless.
