A trip to Sanibel isn't complete without a drive to Captiva for the Sunset "green flash" pirate lore, and of course an Ice Cream for the kids and a beer for you. House is nicely stocked. Owner great and view was awesome.
We spent 18 nights here having a wonderfully relaxing time. Sunbathing by the pool, fishing in the canal and making use of the excellently equipped kitchen.
The highlight was seeing manatees, twice in the canal. The second time it was a mother and calf which was magical.
Bart was excellent when we had a couple of questions and responded very quickly.
Great Vacation Home!
My husband and I spent 10 weeks at this comfortable and inviting vacation home. Located on the east end of the island we were able to get on and off Sanibel easily, but rarely did so. It was only a short walk to the beach, but we did have a pass for a deeded parking area when we wanted to bring chairs, etc. to the beach. When tired of gathering shells we returned to a large heated pool or relaxed on the long lanai. Located on a canal we were treated to dolphins swimming by on several occasions. The bike paths are wide and an excellent way to explore Sanibel, Finnamore's has great rates. The kitchen is well stocked with all the appliances and gadgets you need to make meals, but there are many excellent restaurants to choose from should you rather not spend time in the kitchen. The owner, Bart, is readily available for any questions and was a delight to work with. I highly recommend this vacation home and look forward to our return next year.
Why thank you for your kind words and I am glad the property worked out well for your stay.
We just spent two weeks at this stunningly gorgeous bungalow on Sanibel Island. It fronts on a canal where, one morning we saw a huge dolphin that actually came up to the dock to greet us. The interior is stunningly decorated and very comfortable to live in. It connects directly with one of the many bicycle paths that populate the island. This was our forth year visiting Sanibel and this was by far the nicest place that we have stayed in. We definitely plan to return next year. This place gets our highest possible recommendation.
Thank you for your review.
I am glad you had a good stay
Located on the barrier islands of Sanibel and Captiva, with bike paths, restaurants, beaches and family fun. Shell by day, dine by night. Family friendly, rent a bike at Billys Bicycle rental and cruise the ample bike paths down to JN "Ding" Darling national wildlife refuge. Enjoy birding, kayaking or alligator watching from the Mangrove waters of Sanibel. Shop in exquisite boutiques or check out the nearby factory outlet centers.
There is no more beautiful place in Florida than the barrier islands of beautiful Sanibel and Captiva.
