All kitchen appliances — including the microwave, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, hand mixer, milk frother, and washing machine — are in full working order and regularly checked. The kitchen is a traditional, bespoke wooden design close to 30 years old, which gives it character. The drawers don’t have modern “stop” mechanisms but function as intended, and the one missing cabinet knob has already been replaced. Guests often comment on how well-equipped the kitchen is, with a full range of cookware, both stainless steel and non-stick pans, quality utensils, and a wide variety of crockery. It’s designed to be practical and enjoyable to cook in. The house also provides other useful amenities such as an iron and hairdryer. Being in the heart of the farming countryside, it’s natural that the occasional fly or spider may appear indoors, even after a thorough clean.
