A gorgeous property, secluded and peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay. Very attentive hosts. Sitting by the lake, watching the wildlife was a real joy. Highly recommended, would not hesitate to come again.
An absolutely amazing home for a Christmas break. Julia and Tamar were fantastic in looking after us, the house is superb- homely yet spacious, super clean and a rural retreat. We shall be back!
A beautiful place to stay. It has everything you need and more. It was spotlessly clean. The beds are so super comfy. The only thing I will say is that each morning and night the garden is full of phesants at least 100 so bare that in mind if you have a dog. This is truly a wondeful, relaxing and quiet place to retreat away from the world.

Thank you so much for your review. You were also wonderful guests to host. As Lazonby is a working Estate there are pheasants around between September and the end of January.......but, yes, Abbott Moss is a wonderful retreat.
This was the quickest I've ever relaxed into a summer holiday. The space and setting, the lake and wildlife, the peace and quiet were all wonderful.
The local area was also wonderful to explore - mountain biking trails at nearby Coombes Wood, some great tracks and trails along the Pennine Way, and short drive to Ullswater to enjoy The Lakes.
Time moved delightfully slowly, and certainly out first thought as we departed, was that we can;t wait to come back.
Our stay at Abbot Moss was simply amazing. We could literally find ourselves just sitting starting out of the windows watching nature. The house was impeccable in every way - everything you could ever want or wish for. The decor, so tasteful and well finished - just beautiful. The surroundings were quiet, peaceful and serene and the wildlife was right at your door step. We enjoyed every minute, rain or shine - could have stayed forever. The house keeper, Julia was so kind and left a beautiful home made cake and freshly laid eggs and was always there to help. As keen paddle boarders the lake was a safe place to paddle with our son which we very much enjoyed. The surrounding area is wonderful - amazing walks, cycle routes, lovely recommended pubs and of course Ullswater only 30 min away. We couldn’t have wished for a better holiday. Thank you.
