This was the perfect place for our family to relax. The property is remote with exquisite views. The home is clean and feels new. We can’t wait to visit again.

We can't say enough good things about our stay. The home and the property are amazing. The kitchen is beautifully equipped, and the pool is spectacular. The whole house is perfect. And the setting is unbelievable. Communication was great leading up to our stay and Maurizio was a great on site manager. Check in was fun and easy, and Maurizio was readily available the whole time, with excellent tips about the local restaurants and logistics. The perfect get away stay in Tuscany. Thank you for hosting.

Villa Chiugi was an incredible place to stay. Surrounded by the serene beauty of the Italian countryside, the villa's pool area and balconies made for the perfect spot to unwind and take it all in. Maurizio went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience, from sharing local tips and making restaurant reservations to ensuring the entire place was spotless when we arrived. Seggiano is a fairly small town so you'll likely find yourself going to Castel del Piano / Montepulciano / Montalcino for more restaurants & the supermarket but it's a very charming area. The villa itself is a perfect mix of classic Tuscan charm with a modern touch, offering plenty of space and a fully stocked kitchen that has absolutely everything you could need. Highly recommend!

Review for stay from 08 August 2026 to 22 August 2026

We had an excellent stay at Villa Chiugi and are very happy to give it five stars overall. The villa is in a beautiful location and is a wonderful place to spend a holiday in Tuscany. The views from the first floor are absolutely fantastic. From the ground-floor porch they are more limited, as bushes and small trees partially block the view, but the surroundings are still lovely. A major part of what makes the stay so enjoyable is Maurizio, who manages the property. He takes excellent care of the pool and the villa, is always helpful, and was great with restaurant reservations, recommendations and suggestions about places to visit in the area. He is genuinely a big added value to the whole Villa Chiugi experience. There were, however, a few details that we found slightly amusing considering the price level of the villa. Being charged separately for the gas used to heat the water felt rather unusual. At this price point, I would personally prefer the rental price to simply be €100 higher rather than finishing an otherwise premium holiday experience by calculating the cost of hot water. We were also charged for a broken wine glass. Of course, guests should take responsibility for damage, but this felt a little disproportionate given that there were only four narrow wine glasses available for a group of six when we arrived. We actually bought six additional drinking glasses ourselves because we found the available number insufficient. If individual pieces of kitchen equipment are expected to be accounted for, it might be useful to provide guests with an inventory and the replacement cost of each item at the beginning of the stay. On a similar note, all the kitchen knives available when we arrived were extremely dull, and there was no knife sharpener, so we bought three additional knives. There were also no bedside/night lamps in the bedroom we used, so we bought one of those as well. Needless to say, we did not deduct the cost of the glasses, knives or lamp we added to the villa from our final bill — although, following the same accounting philosophy, perhaps we should have considered it. :) These are relatively minor points and did not change our overall impression. Villa Chiugi is a beautiful property in a fantastic location, and thanks in particular to Maurizio's care and assistance, we had a great stay and would happily recommend it.

Review for stay from 13 April 2025 to 21 April 2025

This villa is beautiful, but it is remote. If you want a private and peaceful stay in a gigantic modern Tuscan villa then this is for you. Just know that there is nothing around you for miles but magnificent views, singing birds, olive groves and vineyards. Our host Maurizio was helpful and responsive, providing us everything from local restaurant recommendations (he even called and booked on our behalf) to an impromptu tour of a local cantina where we tasted wines from a micro producer. We were a little unlucky with the weather while we were visiting which meant we didn't get as much use of the pool as we would have liked, but I imagine on a warm and sunny day you could spend most of your time out on the deck. The towns of Seggiano and Castel Del Piano are 10 and 20 mins respectively by car for your supplies and dining out. Overall I highly recommend this place for families or larger groups looking for peace and quiet, just make sure you pick a week when the sun is out

Beautiful view and a stunning property. The road was better than I had expected from other reviews. It is a little isolated for those who want to be near a good sized town, however it was peaceful and private (other than the on site housekeeper who was there every day) It was generally clean although we had to rewash some bedding. Not quite a five star but could be with a little more attention. Pool deck and area was top class. Excellent condition and very clean (was cleaned daily by the house keeper) The bedding and towels were old and worn and there was only one set of bedding per room which meant lots of laundry. If only they could go to ikea and buy a few newer sets of bedding.1 shower door was broken, otherwise ok. Maurizio was there to fix anything that was broken.

The villa, property and views are gorgeous. Access to the villa is via very poorly maintained gravel roads with deep ruts that damaged our rented Volvo V60. Kitchen appliances were not all in working order. Glass stovetop had been broken by prior renters. We were given three electric burners, of which two did not work for the first three days. These were replaced. Wine chiller was broken. There was no panini press as pictured on the website photos. Maurizio, the property manager was extremely helpful and supportive. He came almost everyday making sure all was good. A very lovely man!

Would stay here again in a heartbeat! So peaceful! And you can't beat the views of the surrounding countryside. We spent several days just enjoying the house and pool while enjoying the tranquility so much we cancelled tours that took us away.

Review for stay from 16 September 2023 to 30 September 2023

Review for stay from 12 August 2023 to 19 August 2023

Review for stay from 06 August 2022 to 13 August 2022

MfG
