Honey Cub Cove is nestled in a very serene wooded area off a semi private road and surrounded by beautiful trees and vegetation. Don't be surprised if you get the occasional visitor in the way of squirrels, ground hogs, wild turkey and if your lucky you may even spot a bear cub ( sometimes they come in pairs), hence the name given to the cabin... Honey Cub Cove.
Enjoy an authentic Appalachian style log cabin, offering 1 enclosed bedroom, 1 open loft bedroom with 2 full bathrooms and a wrap around porch. Off the front porch is the entrance to the cabin and some rocking chairs inviting you to sit and stay for a while. Off the deck, you will find a charcoal barbecue for grilling, then towards the back is the screened in porch with a quaint sitting area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or drink of choice, read your favorite book or simply relax in the corner hot tub. We enjoy spending nights outside in this lighted back porch area just relaxing and shooting the breeze. The back porch directly accesses either the main living area or main bathroom. The open main living space offers the kitchen, dining and living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The living area offers a full sofa and love seat with a TV and a cozy wood burning fireplace, dining area which seats up to 6 and full kitchen. On the main level is the master bedroom with a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom (shower/tub) which accesses the kitchen as well. Windows surround the main level so you can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings from inside. In the upper level is an open loft with a queen and twin bed and a full bathroom with shower. The cabin is non-smoking and offers cable and free Wi-Fi. The cabin books for a maximum of 5 guests.
Honey Cub Cove is located right outside the Smoky Mountain National Park and just 15-20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg where you will find grocery stores, tons of attractions, recreational activities, shopping and restaurants. So you are guaranteed the best of both worlds... the peace and quiet of the mountains and the fun and excitement of everything else the area has to offer.
On a more personal note, my wife and I head to the cabin as often as possible to recharge from the demands of everyday life. The natural surroundings offer respite from city life and a relaxing and peaceful oasis in a private and serene setting. I have been a photographer for many years and visited the area since my wife and I got married back in the day. One thing I can tell you for sure... there are no words or pictures that can adequately express the beauty and tranquility of the Smoky Mountains. You have to breathe it in and experience it to understand, as it is a feeling that enters all of your senses, your entire being. You settle in with nature and it nourishes both body and soul. If you decide to visit, our hope is that you unwind and reconnect with nature, with family and with yourself.
God bless and Namaste!
