About this property

Appalachian log cabin/Romantic Hideaway/Hot tub/15 min to PForge

Honey Cub Cove is nestled in a very serene wooded area off a semi private road and surrounded by beautiful trees and vegetation. Don't be surprised if you get the occasional visitor in the way of squirrels, ground hogs, wild turkey and if your lucky you may even spot a bear cub ( sometimes they come in pairs), hence the name given to the cabin... Honey Cub Cove.

Enjoy an authentic Appalachian style log cabin, offering 1 enclosed bedroom, 1 open loft bedroom with 2 full bathrooms and a wrap around porch. Off the front porch is the entrance to the cabin and some rocking chairs inviting you to sit and stay for a while. Off the deck, you will find a charcoal barbecue for grilling, then towards the back is the screened in porch with a quaint sitting area where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, tea or drink of choice, read your favorite book or simply relax in the corner hot tub. We enjoy spending nights outside in this lighted back porch area just relaxing and shooting the breeze. The back porch directly accesses either the main living area or main bathroom. The open main living space offers the kitchen, dining and living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The living area offers a full sofa and love seat with a TV and a cozy wood burning fireplace, dining area which seats up to 6 and full kitchen. On the main level is the master bedroom with a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom (shower/tub) which accesses the kitchen as well. Windows surround the main level so you can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings from inside. In the upper level is an open loft with a queen and twin bed and a full bathroom with shower. The cabin is non-smoking and offers cable and free Wi-Fi. The cabin books for a maximum of 5 guests.
Honey Cub Cove is located right outside the Smoky Mountain National Park and just 15-20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg where you will find grocery stores, tons of attractions, recreational activities, shopping and restaurants. So you are guaranteed the best of both worlds... the peace and quiet of the mountains and the fun and excitement of everything else the area has to offer.

On a more personal note, my wife and I head to the cabin as often as possible to recharge from the demands of everyday life. The natural surroundings offer respite from city life and a relaxing and peaceful oasis in a private and serene setting. I have been a photographer for many years and visited the area since my wife and I got married back in the day. One thing I can tell you for sure... there are no words or pictures that can adequately express the beauty and tranquility of the Smoky Mountains. You have to breathe it in and experience it to understand, as it is a feeling that enters all of your senses, your entire being. You settle in with nature and it nourishes both body and soul. If you decide to visit, our hope is that you unwind and reconnect with nature, with family and with yourself.
God bless and Namaste!

Nice Cozy Cabin
We had a wonderful time staying at Honey Cub Cove. A beautiful cozy cabin situated in the quiet and not crowded area of Wears valley. Great location to enter the park through Metcalf Bottoms and close enough to Gatlinburg for a visit, but far enough away to avoid thr traffic and hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed the hot tub and real fire place and used both every night. Louis was awesome to communicate with and answered all our questions quickly and even let us check in a little early when we showed up a few hours before we planned. Would definitely stay again!

Great Cabin
We had a really great stay. The cabin is very nice with all you need except food. Bring your own wood for the fireplace. We used it 3 nights out of 4. The property manager contacted me early in or stay to see if we had any issues (which we didn't) and even offered to stop by and take away our garbage if need be. Would we stay here again? Already looking at dates next fall.

A M A Z I N G ! ! !
Ohhhhhh this cabin…absolutely beautiful! The surroundings were so tranquil. Inside the cabin…clean, fresh, spacious, two bedrooms and the beds were very comfortable, two bathrooms stocked and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed. We enjoy cooking… dishes, silverware, pots, pans and utensils were all provided. The appliances and an outdoor grill gave us the ability to do our own meals. We were minutes away from any adventure you could possibly think of. Morning coffee on the screened in porch with the fresh air was so enjoyable as was ending every perfect day in the hot tub. We would highly recommend this cabin. We spent a week here and enjoyed every moment!

The first time my wife and I experienced the mountains was during our fall honeymoon in New Hampshire many years ago. We were in awe. Shortly after, we started visiting the Smoky Mountains and needless to say we were hooked. With time, we established roots and decided to purchase Honey Cub Cove, our first cabin. We loved the area so much that now we live in the same community but in a different cabin. It is our warm escape from the stress of everyday life.

Why they chose this property

Our heart lies with the Smoky Mountains. We've been coming to this area for over 20 years and fell in love from day 1. So much so that we established roots in the area. On our first trip we bought a plot of land just to have a sense of belonging to this beautiful place. We hope you love it as much as we do! Pictures or words could never express the beauty and wonder of this magical destination. It renews the spirit and offer rest and rejuvenation as its gifts.

What makes this property unique

When we first saw this cabin we were drawn by the tree filled winding road leading the way to the property and the authentic Appalachian style of the cabin . We love drinking our morning coffee in the rocking chairs on the front porch, just hearing the sounds of the birds and occasionally observing wild turkeys, groundhogs or the simple beauty of the trees. Inside the cabin, we appreciated the unique woodwork and the craftsmanship. The decor was warm and inviting. One of our favorite spots is the screened in back porch. We hang out here quite a lot, especially in the late afternoon and evenings drinking a glass of wine and taking in the beauty of the woods. In the warmer months, we enjoy reading back there as well as enjoying a dip in the hot tub. Its so relaxing ....
