Beautiful eco-friendly "Agrikea" with a swimming pool, sea and sunset view

Only one hour away by boat via the port of Lavrio, Kea is the closest island of the Cyclades to Athens.

Agrikea, situated in the hills above the port, it is an ideal choice for relaxation, while giving you quick and easy access to the more lively spots of the island at 4km away.

The House

Agrikea is addressed to the true nature lover who wishes to have a different holiday experience. The concept of Agrikea is beyond the limits of the classical beach holiday, without excluding it.

The farm guesthouse is built based on the traditional architecture of the island taking it a step further. A lot of local elements have been used (like the local stone walling) in order for the building to be in harmony with the landscape. We believe that luxury is in simplicity, purity and privacy.

Private outside spaces have been created for every studio – bedroom – suite, while numerous common outside spaces for activities and relaxation exist throughout the 1 hectare farm.

At Agrikea, we take the need to protect our environment very seriously having numerous eco measures in place to contribute towards that. Bioclimatic design with ceiling fans and no aircon, recycling both of waste and water, eco friendly cleaning products, bio vegetable gardens and poultry farming are just a few of them.

The property has 6 bedrooms that can sleep 13 people in total, a communal sitting room and communal indoor kitchen plus one communal outdoor cooking bench. Every bedroom has its own private external entrance, en-suite bathroom and private outside space. Some have small kitchenettes.

The property is cleaned and serviced daily. The caretakers live in a separate property in the farm. Breakfast is provided by the staff daily if you wish so between 08:30 and 12:00.

More specifically:

1) Studio by the pool

With an undisturbed view of the sea, Makronisso and the sunset, the 20sqm en-suite studio has a private courtyard with pergola. The courtyard with tables and chairs extends to a unique rock garden with aloe and other succulent plants. This studio is ideal for privacy. It also has a kitchenette with fridge/freezer, cooking pots and kitchen utensils. It can be set up with double bed or 2 singles (as wished by the customer) with orthopedic Linea mattresses

2) Studio by the garden

With undisturbed view of the sunset, the sea and Evia, the 20sqm en-suite studio has its own private garden plus its own courtyard with pergola. This studio is ideal for privacy. It also has a kitchenette with fridge/freezer, cooking pots and kitchen utensils. It can be set up with double bed or 2 singles (as wished by the customer) with orthopedic Linea mattresses

3) Suite

With undisturbed view towards the main village, the sea, the sunset, the pool and the farm from its two private well sized terraces, the suite can accommodate up to 3 people in 28sqm. It has a bedroom with one double bed with orthopedic Linea mattress, bathroom, sitting-room (with a single sofa bed), kitchenette with fridge/freezer, cooking pots and kitchen utensils. It also has 2 private terraces with tables and chairs

4) Bedroom with balcony (West side)

With undisturbed view of the sea, Makronissos and the sunset this en-suite 20sqm bedroom has its own small private balcony. It has a king size double bed with orthopedic Linea mattress.

5) Bedroom with balcony (North side)

With a view of the sea, this en-suite 20 sq meters bedroom has undisturbed view of Evia, the sunset and the vegetable garden. This bedroom has its own small private balcony. It can be set up with double bed or 2 singles (as wished by the customer) with orthopedic Linea mattresses

6) Bedroom in the garden

With an undisturbed view of the sea and Evia, the 30sqm meters en-suite bedroom is a rebuilt old stable combined with modern character. This bedroom is situated separate to the main building into the garden. It can be set up with double bed or 2 singles (as wished by the customer) with orthopedic Linea mattresses.

Services

· Open Air Kitchen

An open air kitchen and dining area for up to 12 people covered by a pergola with sunset view is available to the guests after arrangement for their dinner parties.

· Relaxation spots in the farm

You can choose your favorite spot on the farm and we will create for you a relaxation corner especially for you. Relax reading a book, enjoying the view, listening to the sounds of the nature, sipping your drink, coffee or tonic herb tea.

· Library

A “leave one get one” library and a private collection of books (for the use of the guests), of Greek and foreign literature and books on the animal and vegetation of the Greek islands as well as books on the protection of nature and green architecture and ecology is available to our guests.

· Massage

In collaboration with Senses Spa we offer our customers 5 different sessions of revitalization and relaxation to choose from. You can enjoy a massage in your room or private courtyard with a sunset view. The massage service is charged separately.

· Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 08:30 and 12:30 in your bedroom or in any area of Agrikea you like on a tray. The "Agrikea Breakfast" includes Greek strained yogurt with almonds, walnuts, linseed seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame, sultanas and local thyme honey, juice, seasonal fruits, local biscuits, boiled eggs or omelette from our free range chickens, toasted different types of bread with butter, jam and your choice of coffee or tea. There is also the choice of the "Light Breakfast" which includes juice, toasted different types of bread with butter, jam and your choice of coffee or tea. The light breakfast is at 6 euro per person.

· Swimming Pool

11 meters in length, 2,5 meters in width and 1,5 meters in depth, it is ideal for practicing laps especially with the aid of the jet stream or enjoy the hydro massage.

Amenities

Ceiling fans, internet, wifi, Flat screen TV in all the bedrooms, mosquito blinds, mini fridge in all the bedrooms, hairdryers in all the bedrooms, safes in all the bedrooms, kettles in all the bedrooms, fire alarm in all rooms. The main kitchen also has a kettle, a Nespresso machine, washing machine, dish washer, iron and board, dishes and utensils, multi blender. Also provided linen and towels, pool towels, BBQ, outdoor kitchen, parking, sunbeds, various small tables and chairs.
