About this property

A peaceful retreat in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park

Bryn Cottage is a family owned cottage, which lies at the edge of the open moorland of Carningli mountain, in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

Bryn was originally a traditional hill farm cottage which retains its simplicity and charm.

With its wonderful views of Newport Bay, and with moorland walking from the cottage Bryn has become a firm favourite for many.

Children may roam freely over the fields above and below, or play in the stream that runs adjacent to the property - making it an adventurous place for family holidays.

Inside the cottage you will find a kitchen and dining room area, a sitting room with plenty of books and a stove to keep you cosy. There is a bathroom, a separate toilet and a storage pantry on the ground floor. Upstairs is a landing and two bedrooms that will sleep four.

Adjacent to the cottage is the annexe (y-Bwthyn) which offers a degree of independence and privacy either for grandparents, older children or friends. There are washing facilities in the annexe but no en-suite toilet. Outhouses include a toilet, storage area and a coal shed.

DIRECTIONS FROM NEWPORT OR FISHGUARD

From Fishguard (7miles)

As you approach Newport on the A487 turn right just after the 30 m.p.h. limit sign, signed
Ffordd Bedd Morris and "Cwm Gwaun" (Gwaun Valley).

From Newport

Drive through the little town of Newport. Just before the de-restriction sign turn left signed
"Cwm Gwaun" (Gwaun Valley) and Ffordd Bedd Morris.

As you turn left or right up the hill, note your milometer reading.

At 0.4 miles - you cross a cattle grid

At 0.6 miles - take the right hand fork along "No Through Road"; continue until you pass a
converted chapel followed by three houses. The road then rises steeply, after which it
straightens and levels out, the road surface changing from tarmac to stones.
