Jennifer was very quick to answer any questions that we had very helpful. Place was well equipped with appliances that were up-to-date. Furniture, comfortable, lovely deck, and seating area down by the dock with the grill. Had a great time.

Very, very old single wide mobile home. Bed in master is the worst bed that my wife and I have ever slept on. And the bed was very noisy. Most of the doorknobs are worn-out and need replacing. The furniture in the living room is too big for that small place. The boat dock and decking on the lake side is well designed and in great shape. The front deck needs work. Most of the windows were dirty. Great lake views from all windows. No flat place to park. Parking is on a hill so be careful with your car doors. For the price, it works.

Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad you enjoyed the lake views and the condition of the dock and lakeside decking. Regarding the rest of your comments, the home is accurately represented in the listing, including its age, layout, and parking setup. Many guests appreciate the space for what it is — a simple lakefront stay with great water access — and I work hard to keep it clean, functional, and priced accordingly. I understand you were hoping to cancel your reservation outside the refund window, and I’m sorry the policy couldn’t be adjusted. I follow the cancellation terms consistently for all guests to keep things fair. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and I wish you the best in your future travels.

Great Stay, Wasn't Expecting A Trailer Home

Let me start by staying we had a great stay. The home was very clean, safe and modern inside. It has it's own dock and a nice pontoon boat that could be rented separately. The homeowners were great to deal with. I would consider returning which I think is the best compliment. The only surprise for us is that the home is a trailer, albeit a very large and clean trailer. In fact, we drove past it a few times and had to ask some local neighbors for directions. Once you get over the initial surprise that it is a trailer and not a 'Lakehouse Cabin' as described in the listing, it's actually a good place for a vacation. Again, I would consider a return

Thank you so much for your review and I am so happy you enjoyed your stay and the boat rental option so much. To address the trailer vs. cabin issue, there is no option for me to list as a trailer or mobile home with VRBO and that is why it shows up as a cabin. The images found in the listing clearly show that this is mobile home. Thanks so much and we hope you come back soon!

Lake getaway

It’s exactly as the pictures show. Nice little house, clean and neat. They have a dock with a pontoon boat that you can rent. Everything in one stop. Would recommend.

Family weekend away

The mobile home on Lake Gaston is not much to look at from the outside but the interior has been updates and is very comfortable. We rented the pontoon for a day and enjoyed cruising the lake.. We took the canoe out a few times to explore the nearby coves. We made stores at the fire put (bring your own wood). The kitchen had enough supplies to make a simple meal. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't jump off the pier into the lake due to the size of the cove. The water in the cove is not suited for swimming but I did lay on a float near the dock.

Great location. Had fun on the lake.

Several maintenance/cleaning chances for improvement. Upon arrival, the coffee maker had not been cleaned and had grounds left in the maker for a considerable amount of time. The coffee maker was left stained and could not be cleaned. A replacement maker is strongly recommended. Dishes, although clean were left in the dishwasher. The outside (gas) grill needed a through cleaning and should be replaced as the defussers are rotted out. People should be warned that the hot and cold water are reversed in at least 2 locations, to include the kitchen sink. It is a great location and offers a outstanding views and lake access, but cleaning and maintenance need to be more closely supervised. The pontoon boat rental was great.

Paul thank you for your review. I am sorry that the coffee maker was not cleaned and the dishes were in the dishwasher. We just hired a new company to clean for us and it obviously needs attention. We did just renovate and did indeed have an issue with the lines being reversed. All this has been resolved. We hope to see you again soon!

I am not able to accurately rate this property as we had a family emergency and had to leave after one night. It seemed to be as advertised.

The lake is beautiful and if you have the opportunity, rent the boat! The trailer needs updating though. Be sure to sit on the deck and sundeck to enjoy the peace and tranquillity. I would recommend this to friends and family for a lovely getaway.

Great time at the lake!

This is very nice property for 4-6 people. Secluded at the end of a small cove. Not far to get out to the main lake. The hosts were awesome and kept in great communication with us. Due to it being at the end of a cove, swimming from the dock was not really an option for us due to shallow water, shade and vegetation. That said, fishing from the dock was great! We also rented their pontoon boat which was in great shape and comparable with marina rental pricing, without needing to go to a marina!

Great weekend getaway.

Home was extremely accessible, perfect home for a quiet weekend getaway with a few friends to relax and unwind. Option to rent the pontoon is a wonderful thing that I noticed not a whole lot of other homes offered. Just to know it’s there is great. Owners were quick and great with getting back with us when we made the decision to take the boat.
