Clachan Lodge is a remote holiday home resting in Clachan, near Lochmaddy, Scotland and can sleep 12 guests in six bedrooms.
Amenities: Air-source heating and underfloor heating with woodburning stove. Gas oven, gas hob, double electric oven, microwave, 2 x fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, 2 x dishwasher, coffee maker. TV, DVD player, WiFi, selection of toys, books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for woodburning stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Highchair and travel cot available on request. Off-road parking for 4 cars. Non-enclosed garden with decking, lawn, furniture, outdoor shower and tap. Pet-friendly, sorry, no smoking. Shop 6.6 miles, pub 7.5 miles. Note: Garden not enclosed, please supervise children and pets at all times. Note: Bring own linen for travel cot. Town: The village of Lochmaddy is the terminus for the daily ferry linking it to Uig on the Isle of Skye and it is also the main centre of population for the island of North Uist. Lochmaddy has good facilities and services including a selection of hotels serving fresh local produce in their dining rooms. A visit to the award-winning museum and arts centre located in the centre of Lochmaddy is a must, and there is also a tourist office full of information about local events and places to visit. The road south of Lochmaddy will lead you to the village of Carinish some 10 miles away and if you continue on this road you can cross the causeway to the island of Benbecula. The town of Balivanich in Benbecula offers shops, post office, a bank, restaurant, a petrol station and an airport, from which car hire can be arranged. The causeway from Benbecula then leads onward to the island of South Uist.
