Brilliantly situated near the centre.

The apartment was in a brilliant place, close to everything. It was very quiet as it is up a passageway with a building in-between to block noise from nearby pub. Room was very clean. one downside, no shampoo or shower gel, my fault though as I did not notice that it does state that in the booking details. Easy to locate and instructions on key lock etc very easy to understand. We only stayed overnight but would be great if you were staying a few nights as there is a fully equipped small kitchenette so you do not have to eat out if you do not want to. All in all, great place, great stay.

Acceptable Place

We started out with the heat not working. After a couple of email exchanges we were moved to a different larger unit for the 3 nights. Great customer service. However, a couple of amenities like Kleenex, shampoo, and shower soap would make the first night much better because there may not be any stores open when you move in.

Conveinient apartment inside the historic city walls

Clean, comfortable apartment inside the historic city walls of York. Close to convenient city parking lot that allows overnight parking when paying through the app. It has a small kitchen (which we did not use) and an All-in-One washer/dryer which was convenient. The apartment does not have air conditioning. It is on the ground floor and, for security, the window only opens 2 inches. There is not much ventilation and the apartment was warm and a bit stuffy. A fan was provided and I set it up next to the window to try to get as much air as possible. The bathroom was very clean, but it did have a bit of a mold smell. The washer/dryer took about four hours to clean and dry our clothes and the clothes were still a bit damp when we took them out. We had to hang them up for a while before they were dry enough to put in our luggage. Our clothes came out very wrinkled. It would have been better to find a laundromat and paid to have our clothes cleaned.

Second visit - gone downhill in quality

Second stay here...previous about a year ago. Crisp packets chocolate and biscuit wrappers found under sofa from previous occupant. Mould and grime in shower, bathroom smelled. Leaking washing capsules in bowl under sink. Only one huge kitchen knife. Previously immaculate so disappointing. Outside lights in alley are great but you can't switch them off at night so light streams into bedroom all night. A blind on long door panel would make big difference. Sofa in place where you can't see TV so effectively redundant. on the positive nice linen and towels comfy bed good kitchen and nice touch goody bag. Convenient for station. So bit more attention to detail would make the world of difference.

Great apartment in good location

This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this apartment. It’s very clean, modern and very comfortable. You have everything you need kettle, toaster, microwave etc. the apartment is in a quiet location and is very convenient to the rail station a 10 minute walk away. Also a 5 minute walk into city centre. If you want somewhere good to stay for a few days I would thoroughly recommend staying at the Falcon Tap apartments.

Great place to stay.

Everything you need right in the centre of York. Stayed here last year, stayed here last month and staying again in December so it must be great cos I’m not easily pleased. The apartments are spot on and being right in the middle of York everything’s on the doorstep, I would highly recommend these apartments for a stay in York.
