Amazing stay

Greatest few days away, everything was super clean and tidy. Communication with the owner was easy and they answered all the questions i had and when above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Thank you Lee and Wendy for everything :).

Beautiful romantic apartment.

Had a wonderful stay in this amazing apartment the place is gorgeous and so peaceful with amazing views over the river I could of spent the whole time looking out at. The apartment had everything we needed plus more its kitted out to a high standard we loved cuddling up on the amazing sofa watching movies on the big TV and the sonos sound system sounds amazing too. It's not often I wright reviews but this is well deserved. Thankyou Lee and Wendy for an amazing stay you are both great. Regards David and Rowan

Having studied for my BSc and MSc degrees at the highly respected Leeds Metropolitan University (Carnegie), my special interest is helping people optimise their health. As the ultimate health is a blend of not only physical wellbeing but also psychological wellbeing myself and Wendy have put together a holiday apartment retreat that is perfect for both quiet relaxation and active outdoor pursuits.

Both Wendy and I adore The Lake District and spend lots of our free time holidaying and having days out in The Lakes. We have been lucky enough to set up our own home from home in the peaceful South Lakes area of Backbarrow. A stone’s throw from Newby Bridge and nestled in the Leven Valley, Backbarrow is a great place to explore the Lake District National Park, the Cumbrian Coast and even The Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The apartment is a one bedroom duplex in the newly converted Ironworks Development at Backbarrow. Within walking distance you will find The Lake District Motor Museum, the historic Haverthwaite Railway Station and The Cliffhanger Escape Rooms. A short drive away is Beatrix Potter’s Hilltop, Hawkshead village and Windermere Cruises. Set within the spacious shared, riverside grounds the apartments are complemented by private parking, beautiful views of the river Leven and waterfalls. Within a 5 minute walk there is a lovely riverside bar and restaurant.
