We were not disappointed lovely and cosy. Shower was nice and hot, it had all the kitchen amenities to make our stay comfortable. The bed was also comfy. We would highly recommend Pear Tree Barn.
Clean, comfortable and welcoming. Perfect for couples as a getaway with easy access to the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales. Buttermere in just over and hour and a lovely pub with good food a 2 min walk away.
Had another lovely relaxing weekend at pair tree. Found another pub which is only a 4 minute drive and serves fantastic food. Called the strickland arms.
As others have noted, the actual barn is both small, and definitely no longer a barn!It is beautifully finished, perfect for a couple. Everything needed was available for the chef, the little patio area was delightful, magnolia in flower, lots of bees and birds...We will absolutely fine back. Suits us perfectly.
Absolutely loved this cottage! Its small and cozy, just as described! Clean, very modern with everything we needed! The pub is literally next door, great food and lovely country vibe! Would recommend if you are looking for a cozy stay for two! Will definitely book again! Xx
Yet another stay in "our" special place!! Amother wonder stay at Pear Tree Barn - what's not to.like even at this time of the year - will we return...seriously..of course!! Thanks again Emma xoxo

Emma the host responded promptly to my questions and was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend.
A beautiful perfect barn conversion for 2 people equipped with everything you need. A relaxing place to come home to after a busy day in the Lakes with a neighbouring hotel restaurant (book early).
We enjoyed our stay at Pear Tree Barn. The cottage was very well equipped and super clean. Parking very convenient right outside. Would have loved to stay longer next time.
Love the Pear Tree Cottage. The host was very friendly and answered all our questions. Property was easy to find. Loved the cat. Clean and comfortable.
The house is small but had everything we needed to make it perfect. The owner has thought of everything to make our stay a home from home and the location was ideal for everywhere we wanted to visit plus there’s a hotel next door that does lovely meals but you have to book in advance because it’s very popular. Really enjoyed our stay.
Lovely little cottage , ideal for what we need a quite relaxing weekend break.
Couldn't fault the the whole experience from booking to checking in, communication with Emma the owner fantastic, and everything you'd need for a relaxing stay has been thought of.

So much character in the Barn, everything you need for a cosy stay.
Thankyou Emma.
We will be back
Had a lovely stay here, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beautiful location, very quiet and peaceful. If you want to eat at the pub next door book in advance as it gets very busy.
Welcome from Emma (and her mom) who were carrying out some gardening when we arrived was very warm and welcoming. We could not park on arrival due to a contractor being on site, blocking the entrance. The property was really clean and tidy, with everything you could wish for a short stay, even a welcome bottle of Prosecco! We did not realise that the ground floor and first floor flat directly opposite were long term lets. The upper floor resident on our first night had some sort of get together and because the alleyway is very narrow between the cottage and the flats it was a bit noisy, with guests shouting, laughing and constantly walking up and down the alley (for a smoke I presume). Of itself, not a big deal but went on for around 5 hours ending at 2145. so got a bit annoying toward the end and although the weather was nice we felt we wouldn't sit out as you are directly in line of sight. In fact the courtyard is quite overlooked by the ground floor flat so we didn't use on any night. Cottage is very well appointed and comfortable, The TV has all the channels on so good choice, but is mounted on the wall a bit high for us and had a crick in our necks after watching. The parking is a bit tight, with a narrow entry and 2 other vehicles (large ones) to navigate, I backed in to ensure easy drive off. Its not as isolated as the description implies. Probably look for something more remote next time, overall a good base for those that dont mind the proximity of the residents.
Once again Emma provided us w8th all that we could have asked for, from booking out atay to communication throughout until we arrived. The accommodation is just ideal for what we wanted and remembered from last year. We can see she's been pottering about in the garden, the smells are amazing and add to the overall atmosphere of the property...until next year, thanks again Emma x
