About this property

Reduced short break for Feb half term - sleeps 8 + dogs

The double-fronted cottage was built in 1760 and has 2 ft thick whitewashed walls. As you enter the cottage, you have an open-plan kitchen and dining area which has slate floors and beamed ceilings, a farmhouse table which seats 8, on one side...and a large cosy sitting room with sofa's and a log burner, with TV on the other side.
Up the windy staircase there is 1 double bedroom (with TV) a twin room, a pretty bunk-bed room and a family bathroom. The top floor has a master bedroom with super-king-size bed, (with TV) an en-suite shower room, and lovely views of the village. The cottage has broadband and Apple TV.
Outside there is a small courtyard with a dining table that can seat 8. There is also a bench with cushions for relaxing in the sun. The courtyard faces west so is a great spot for lunches and evening sun. Next to the courtyard is a small shed that has a selection of beach gear which guests are very welcome to use. There is wetsuits, body boards, cool boxes, fishing nets and various other items. There is also a tumble drier and small freezer in the shed.

Great vacation, great property
The cottage is fantastic, pictures don't give full justice. Very spacious, more than enough space for our family. Bedrooms are large and have comfy beds, master bedroom on the top floor is enormous and has a nice view. Comfy and cozy living room, it was such a pleasure to come from the rainy and windy walks and lit the fireplace. Kitchen is equipped with everything you may need. It has definitely homey feeling, doesn't feel at all like a rental property. Most importantly, location is great, short walk to shops, pub, walking trails. Parking is for one car, uphill walk, and may be a bit tricky to fit when the parking lot is crowded. But hey, this is Port Isaac ! We had a fantastic stay over New Year, and we watched fireworks over the harbour even though the winds were atrocious! We were unlucky to hit storm weather, but it didn't take away at all from our vacation, and this lovely cottage was a big part of it. Thank you Sarah for sharing your home.

Dad's 80th
Geranium cottage is a lovely home, not a clinical holiday property. Plenty big enough for the 6 of us and so many kind, thoughtful touches, including the welcome gifts. Very much appreciated! The sun shone and we all had a great time. Thinking of returning. Thank you x

About the host

Emma and Sarah are the partners of The Cornish Holiday Company and have offices in Bodmin and Wadebridge so always close and on call should a guest ever need anything during their stay. We have much pleasure in hosting Geranium Cottage as it gives visitors a true feel for living in a traditional Cornish cottage.
The Cornish Holiday Company host this property for the owners who have dedictated much time to make this a very special holiday cottage for guests.

Why they chose this property

Geranium Cottage is a traditional fisherman's cottage in the heart of the historic village of Port Isaac. This stunning cottage is tucked just back from the harbour up a quiet lane offering a very peaceful place to stay whilst also being a moments walk from the hustle and bustle of the harbour.

What makes this property unique

Geranium Cottage is at the heart of the old village and the lanes are very narrow. We are therefore very lucky to have a private parking space next to the harbour. This means you can come and go from the village with ease and you don’t have to navigate any narrow lanes if you don’t want to.
