Luquillo Stay

The host was very responsive and communicative. There was on hick-up and the host came to help right away. The place is gorgeous and relaxing. It was a wonderful stay.

We really loved the area, it was the perfect local experience and the hussle and bussle was so exciting. Hearing the local music, the vegetation and culture is the most amazing. I would come here again and again over a resort. Loved every part of it!

Perfecto

Ideal get-away. Spacious and comfortable place with lots of thoughtful amenities. Secure parking and conveniently located to everything. We ate at many of the restaurants that our hosts recommended and they were great eats. The hosts also recommended lovely beaches. We really appreciated the host’s responses. You won’t find a better place than this!

Private oasis in Luquillo

Our little family loved our stay in this modern and well appointed little bungalow in a lovely barrio in Luquillo. Built th th interior and exterior of the house made relaxing easy and we were close to everything. All of the neighborly wild critters were a bonus. Our host was responsive, helpful, and kind!

I was very impressed with the house , the owners communicated with us and sent us information of where to go, she knew it was my daughters 16th birthday and she left her a beautiful note and put a happy birthday sign for her just made us feel so welcomed! The neighborhood was nice people were friendly , there was an occasional car passing by with music or a rooster singing but other than that it was peaceful. I would stay in this home again . The restaurant on the corner is amazing .

Pleasant surprises

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is close to the beach, very clean/newly renovated and was very well stocked. We kept finding more we liked, such as the heated outdoor shower to clean off the beach sand or the Boogie Boards our teens used at the beach!

So comfy and so sweet!

All directions, rules, and descriptions were clear. The host sent us amazing recommendations for the area. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a sweet gift and we’ll thought out comfort details to every room. Warm water, comfortable beds, quiet house; perfect stay in Puerto Rico!

Shayna is a great host and the apartment was very comfortable with everything a family needs for a great beach vacation (including beach gear and an outdoor shower). The only downside of the apartment is its location. While close to fantastic beaches, the neighborhood is extremely noisy. Cars and motorcycles drive around revving their engines until late at night, and just when they finally stop the roosters come out and call to each other all hours of the night. Shayna conveniently left plenty of ear plugs in the house but if you are a light sleeper this location could be rough for you. If you don't mind the noise the wild animals around the apartment have a lot of charm to them and my kids got a kick out of seeing so many cats, hens, chicks, roosters, dogs and even three horses.

Graduation (from high school) trip for son

This was our first time out of the country and first time to Puerto Rico, but it won’t be our last. Shayna and her husband made us feel like their VRBO was our home away from home. We kept saying how nice this was to have places to relax and not be on top of each other (like at a hotel). To have use of a fridge for leftovers and to do some little shopping. The shower was so refreshing after being at the beach, a hot trip to Old San Juan, a trek through the rainforest. Shayna’s neighbors are so kind and welcoming and made sure to know Puerto Rico welcomes us. We loved the view of the flag and the mountains from the porch. The restaurants around Luquillo are so wonderful. We never got the same one. I can’t say enough for the communication with Shayna and any questions we had during our stay. We will be back!!
