On clear days you can enjoy a wonderful view of the mountains of the Bavarian Forest. The nearest restaurants and shops are in Zenting, about 4 km away. In the immediate vicinity you can go on hikes, bike tours and ski tours in winter or visit the numerous spas, swimming pools and thermal baths. Day trips include: Bavarian Forest National Park (35km), Passau (40km), Regensburg (100km), Deggendorf and to the Zwiesel glassworks; Munich and Salzburg are also worthwhile destinations.
