Wir hatten eine tolle Woche in dieser großartigen Unterkunft. Ich war selten in einem so gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus. Die Kommunikation vor unsere Ankunft und während des Aufenthalts bzgl. An- und Abreise lief unkompliziert. Hatte es Fragen Unklarheiten gegeben, wäre der Gastgeber während des Aufenthaltes jederzeit greifbar gewesen. Eine ganz tolles Domizil, das wir gerne wieder besuchen werden :-)

Perfekte Mischung aus Ruhe und Action

Wir wurden bereits von den Vermietern erwartet! Es war ein sehr freundlicher Empfang mit selbstgebackenem Kuchen, einer Flasche Wein und Wasser… Perfekt um erst einmal anzukommen! Das Haus ist wie beschrieben sehr geräumig, es ist alles vorhanden, was man benötigt und sehr sauber! Terrasse und Garten sind ganz liebevoll gestalten und laden zum erholen ein, in absoluter Ruhe und einem bezauberndem Ausblick über Weinberge bis hin zum Ätna! Je nach Verkehrslage erreicht man in 30-60 min wunderschöne andere Orte, wie zb Taormina, Catania,Giardini Naxos! Auch eine geführte Tour zum Ätna hat uns den Atem geraubt! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, da wir noch einiges erkunden wollen! Bella Sicilia

Ruhiges, gepflegtes Ferienhaus mit schönem Garten und grandiosem Blick

Mein Mann und ich waren im September 2024 im Ferienhaus und können die hervorragenden Besprechungen und Bewertungen nur bestätigen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, die geschmackvolle Einrichtung hat Charme und Ambiente. Küche und Essbereich (Geschirr, Besteck…) sind vollständig und ausreichend ausgestattet. Sehr schön sind die Terrasse und der Garten mit dem grandiosen Blick auf den Ätna. Ein großer gepflegter Pool ist vorhanden, wir saßen jedoch lieber im Grünen. Insbesondere an heißen Tagen ist man für die schattenspendenden Bäume dankbar, die Haus, Rasen und Garten kühl halten. Die in einem der Schlafzimmer vorhandene Klimaanlage haben wir nicht gebraucht. Der Gastgeber Michele wohnt mit seiner Familie auf dem Grundstück, ist ruhig, sehr freundlich und zurückhaltend, aber sofort da, wenn man sich per Whatsapp meldet (ein Warmwasserproblem wurde umgehend an einem Samstagnachmittag vom Handwerker behoben; der Kontakt läuft über die sehr gut englischsprechende Tochter). Rührend fanden wir, dass wir bei Ankunft einen selbstgebackenen Kuchen vorfanden. Das Haus eignet sich insbesondere für Ausflüge zum Ätna, nach Taormina, ganz in der Nähe sind Acireale und Acitrezza (Zyklopeninseln), aber auch das etwas weiter entfernte Syrakus (sehenswert: Ortigia) und die Villa Romana del Casale kann man von diesem Haus aus besuchen - wichtig ist ein Auto. Alles in Allem sind Haus und Grundstück eine kleine Oase der Ruhe und Entspannung, die wir wärmstens empfehlen können.

Quite relaxing country retreat

With the beautiful views, the sunrise and sunsets are special. Etna is your nearby neighbor that never disappoints. The home is comfortable and well equipped to support any length of stay. All amenities inside and out make your stay feel like home. Most highly recommended and will definitely be our go to location if we find ourselves on the East coast if Sicily again.

Ruhig gelegenes Ferienhaus

Das Haus ist wie beschrieben: ein großes Wohnzimmer mit integrierter Küche, 2 Schlafzimmer (2 Einzelbetten; 1 Doppelbett mit gemeinsamer großer Decke), 2 Badezimmer mit je einer Dusche. Im Haus gibt es eine Heizung, über die wir Anfang April sehr froh waren und eine Waschmaschine. Alles ist sehr ordentlich und sauber. Die Terrasse vorm Haus wird von einem großen Baum beschattet (im Sommer sicherlich von Vorteil), es gibt aber eine Treppe hoch im Garten genügend Platz für Sonne oder Schatten. Von hier hat man einen grandiosen Blick auf die Kulturlandschaft, die sich zwischen Meer und Ätna erstreckt. Im Hintergrund des Hauses liegen Weingärten und der Hang eines kleinen bewaldeten Vulkanhügels, dadurch ist es sehr ruhig und das Vogelgezwitscher kann sich voll entfalten. Der Vermieter Michele ist sehr freundlich, zurückhaltend und kümmert sich. Der nächste Supermarkt ist ca. 1 km entfernt, die Läden von im kleinen Ort Viagrande ca. 2 km. Ein Auto ist notwendig, Wandern entlang der Straßen macht keinen Spaß (eng, verdreckt, viel Verkehr). Uns hat es in dem Haus sehr gut gefallen. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen entlang der Ostküste oder auf den Ätna. Zur Autobahn fährt man ca. 15 min. Wir kommen wieder !

Märchenhaft

Wir hatten das Ferienhaus für eine Woche im Mai/Juni 2022 gebucht. Fahrzeit vom Flughafen Catania ca. 30 - 45 Minuten, je nach Verkehrslage. Die ganze Anlage besteht aus einem sehr, sehr großen alten Bauernhof und zwei Ferienhäusern. Das Grundstück ist einfach riesig und gäbe eine tolle Kulisse für einen Märchenfilm ab, traumhaft und mit direktem Blick auf den Ätna. Der überaus sympathische und dezent auftretende Vermieter Michele wohnt in einem sanierten Teil des Bauernhofs, betreibt dort etwas Weinanbau und kümmert sich um das Wohlergehen seiner Gäste, leider spricht er nur sehr wenig englisch, man kann allerdings jederzeit seine sehr gut englisch sprechende Tochter anrufen, falls Bedarf besteht. Das Haus befindet sich in einem gepflegten Zustand und verfügt über ganz ausgezeichnete Betten, wir haben im Urlaub wirklich selten so gut geschlafen ( dies war Ferienhaus Nr. 29 für uns ), die Ausstattung ist soweit komplett, Gazefenster in allen Räumen, lediglich die fehlende Klimaanlage im kleinen Schlafzimmer sollte nachgerüstet werden. Ein kleiner Pool ist auch vorhanden und wird täglich gereinigt, das W-Lan arbeitet sehr stabil, parken kann man direkt am Haus. Die Lage ist recht verkehrsgünstig, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die ganze Abwicklung von der Buchung bis zum check out total unkompliziert. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis in diesem Buchungszeitraum bewerten wir als absolut fair. Superbe !

Nous étions 4 adultes et avons vraiment apprécié cette location. La petite maison est idéalement située face au volcan et proche de toutes les visites possibles sur la cote Est de la Sicile. Environnement très calme. Les terrasses, la piscine et le jardin sont un plus. Ameublement de qualité, propriétaires réactifs et sympathiques. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de cette location. A recommander !!!!

Au calme, dans la nature avec vue sur l'Etna

Une belle location entre l'aéroport de Catane et l'Etna. Pied à terre idéal pour découvrir la côte Est de la Sicile de Catane à Messine en passant par l'Etna. Superbe panorama sur le volcan, piscine, jardin.... un havre de paix. Il ne manquait que la climatisation dans les chambres à coucher

Petit coin de paradis face a l'Etna.

La maison est idéale pour une famille avec deux enfants très bien placée pour visiter toute la côte Est sans oublier l'Etna, les gorges de l'alcantara entre autre. La piscine est très agréable pour se rafraîchir. Nous recommandons sans problème.

Gepflegtes gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in toller Lage mit schönem Garten und Blick auf den Etna

Obwohl wir schon viel gereist sind und über Jahrzehnte in Ferienhäusern oder Wohnungen logieren, ist dieses Haus vom Standard und der Sauberkeit her unvergleichlich gut. Die Betreuung vor Ort war sehr freundlich, auch wenn der Hausherr weitestgehend nur Italienisch spricht, so regelte alles sein sympathische Tochter. Ein Rotwein aus eigener Produktion stand zur Begrüßung bereit. Der top gepflegte Garten mit einem riesigen Celtis australis (Zürgelbaum) - spendet reichlich Schatten - und der grandiose Blick auf den Etna gibt einem Besucher ein einmaliges Urlaubsgefühl. Ein Schwimmbad sorgt für erfrischende Abkühlung. Die Doppelbetten sind erstklassig und breit. Im 2. Schlafzimmer könnte ein Schrank für mehr Stauraum sorgen, wird aber durch ein offene Regal gut ersetzt . Die Lage des Objektes oberhalb von Acireale sorgt auch im Sommer für erträgliche Temperaturen. Leider konnten wir die schöne Terrasse (siehe Foto) nicht wirklich nutzen, da die Bäume sehr viel Schmutz abwerfen. Hier könnte ein größerer "Sonnenschirm" Abhilfe schaffen und auch ein draußen sitzen bei Regen ermöglichen. Bis auf das 1. Schlafzimmer haben alle Fenster ein Mückennetz, was sehr zu empfehlen ist. Danke noch mal für eine sehr schöne Woche. Viele Ausflüge sind von hier aus problemlos möglich.

Bonita casa en lugar precioso y trato muy hospitalario

Hemos disfrutado nuestra estancia en esta casa que es preciosa y muy bien acondicionada en un lugar maravilloso, viendo el Etna nevado en todo momento, pero lo mejor la hospitalidad de los propietarios y su ayuda cuando pinchamos una rueda. Gracias por todo.

Lovely property in rural setting

Two lovely weeks spent in Dietroserra. The delightful owners live close-by and could not have been more attentive and helpful. Daughter-in-law, Maria, was ever on hand to provide English translation when needed. We felt very welcome. The website photos accurately depict the property and its rural setting. Tall trees overhang the property’s terrace, providing welcome respite in summer, but in late autumn when the sun is lower, the terrace is mostly in shade, making the interior of the property a little dark. Some extra, directional lighting would be useful in the kitchen/sitting area at times. For sun-lovers, a separate terrace provides beautiful views across the hillsides to Mount Etna; it’s shared with the other property, but comfortably large. For shade-lovers a lush, grassy area runs between Dietroserra and the shared terrace. Chairs, tables, sunbeds & cushions are plentiful. The swimming pool is of the tank variety which you climb up into, so not at ground level. It’s perfectly serviceable, but bear in mind with younger children. Furnished traditionally, the property is spotlessly clean, well maintained and well equipped, with lots of little extras thoughtfully provided (dish cloth; pan-scourer; washing-up liquid; initial roll of paper towel; liquid soap; shampoo; shower gel; loo paper; washing machine liquid). On arrival, we were treated to a bottle of wine from the vineyard and next day a delicious homemade cake arrived (thank you again, Signora Gae!). We also found fruit juice & water in the fridge, plus various condiments, olive oil, vinegar. When buying food, be aware there’s no microwave. We ate in often and found the hob and oven perfectly efficient. Toaster, kettle and filter coffee machine are also provided. Barking dogs didn’t worry us, but mosquitoes abound in October. Indoors was kept mozzie-free by using buzz plugs 24/7 (we took our own, but several were provided - bring tablets). Sufferers will want to apply lots of repellent or cover up when outside in the evenings. The location is good for exploring the east coast and volcano area. Viagrande is just 15 mins’ walk away, but note the route is not pedestrian-friendly. With no pavements until you reach town, you’re confined to the hard shoulder, which disappears in places. If you’re visible with light clothing/torch, most drivers will accommodate you, but it’s not for the faint-hearted. In all, those seeking peace and relaxation in a rural setting will love it!

We had a great stay at this house nestled into a winery at the base of Mt Etna with our toddler. The house was large and clean and worked well for us as a base for a family trip to Sicily. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a small but very functional kitchen and large common area with a large window over looking grape vines. There was also a large deck to sit outside and a pool. The house is located outside of town but was a quick and easy drive and launch point to get to Etna, town, day trips along the coast etc. The owners were very helpful both in providing information of items around the area, but also in assisting in booking specific events like cooking classes right at the villa. They were very quick to respond to questions we had.

Entspannung pur

Das Feriendomizil hat unsere Erwartungen voll erfüllt. Eine wunderschöne ,sehr großzügige Anlage mit Blick auf den Ätna. ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Region rund um den Ätna und Ruhepunkt zur Entspannung in der gepflegten Grünanlage. This is how a holiday should be like...

...your own new building, clean, with all the bells and whistles you could hope for and a grand view of the Etna from your own terrace. We had a great stay in Dietroserra and the accommodation exceeded our expectations. To come home after a hot day in a city or on a beach it should welcome you and Dietroserra does this very well. Located in the middle of a couple of wine fields you drive your car up to your house, two flights of stairs and your are standing on your terrace. Another flight of stairs besides the house brings you up to the (shared) garden with a BBQ and a refreshing swimming pool. In the garden there are stretchers available for your leisure with enough shadow and a grand view to the ever smoking Etna. The house consists of a 2 person bedroom and bathroom with a large sink, shower, toilet and a bidet. Further there is a washing room with a washing machine. The main living room has on one side the kitchen and on the other side a sofa which can be folded out to provide a two person bed. In the middle of the living room there is a TV and a big table for four persons. If you like Italian TV you are in for a treat because the TV has hundreds of Italian channels. Like we already mentioned the house was well equipped. Already provided were towels, toilet paper, shampoo, soap, washing powder, bed linen, garbage bin sacks, kitchen rolls, basic herbs, olive oil and some nice cold drinks in the fridge. We especially liked the Sicilian almond milk. So basically you'll survive if you didn't bring anything and landed on a Sunday. :) The next supermarket can be reached in 4 minutes by car, the Etna cabin lift starting point (Refugio Sapienza, be there at 8:30 for the guided tour to the very top, no reservations) in 40 minutes, a nice and relatively quiet beach south of Catania can be reached in 40 minutes. A couple of shopping malls are 15 minutes away and if you want something bigger you can go to Etnapolis (35 minutes) which also has a waterpark (Etnaland) close by. Recommended visits are: Siracusa (1 hour), Noto (80 min.), Taormina (45 min.). If you like cold mountain water there is Gola d'Alcantara, close to Taormina. Go down with the elevator and walk some distance to the left, there you'll have a bit more space/peace. Anyway, Dietroserra is a great base of operations for your stay in east of Sicily. Highly recommended! Last but not least we would like to thank our hostess Gae for the excellent chocolate cake she made made for us!

Tranquil with amazing views and a beautiful garden

The property was lovely with fantastic views of Mount Etna. We went with our two daughters who loved the pool and the gardens. The house is really well equipped and spacious and the two bathrooms really suited us and our two daughters. The owners came to check on us regularly and gave us a delicious chocolate cake which was an unexpected treat. The wifi was very handy and we used the DVD player most days. As a family of foodies we had no complaints with the kitchen equipment or the outside cooking space. This was one of the best equipped houses we have stayed in Italy. There is plenty to do closeby. We spent a day at the waterpark and another in search of the locations used in the Godfather which were not too far away. The local town could have done with some more amenities but there are some excellent shops full of local produce. All round a very enjoyable stay.

Very cosy, nice house with a great garden & view

A welcoming house and hosts made us feel home immediately. The house is large with two bathrooms and in a very good state. It's cool and a little dark, but in high summer you will love the additional shade. The best part IMHO is the great garden with the nice large trees. It almost feels like a little park and best of all you have a perfect view to the Etna. We could even see the lava of a small erruption at night, when we stayed there... And before I forget it, we got a really "lecker" chocolate cake. It was so nice, that even the chocolate "haters" in the family enjoyed it :-). I would definitely recommend it for a stay around Etna.

Traumhaftes Anwesen.

Sehr schönes Haus mit spektakulärer Aussicht. Sehr ruhige Lage, Sauber und Top gepflegt. Ideal für Ausflüge an der Ostküste (in 10min auf der Autobahn) nah zum Ätna oder zum entspannen unter den schattigen Bäumen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Sehr nette unaufdringliche Vermieter. Allerdings nichts für Urlauber die das Meer vor der Haustür suchen. Das einzige was fehlte, war ein Holzbrettchen in der Küche und ein Moskitonetz in einen Schlafzimmer. - Vielen Dank für den leckeren Schokokuchen!
