Best Spring Break Trip

We loved our stay at Casa Javi. Our first in this house but not to the island and this is the perfect central location. The house was fantastic and had everything we needed. The wifi is a little spotty but we managed. Opening the downstairs patio doors to create an indoor/outdoor living space was so nice! Overall a very pleasant stay and we will definitely consider Casa Javi again when we book a trip back!

Beautiful

The property is exactly as described in the listing and the views of the oceans from all 3 floors are amazing. The location is great for accessing downtown as well as the southern part of the island.

Perfect girls getaway

Great location. The house was lovely and clean. The pool looking out at the ocean was perfect. We didn’t use the rooftop space bc the water wasn’t heated. If they would heat it then evening would have spent up there. Some new towels and bed linens would go a long way! But overall it was a wonderful place and I would return.

Amazing location, views, and accommodations!

Our group (3 couples) had the most amazing time at this rental. Communication started months in advance, and they helped us plan every aspect of our trip from chef services, transportation, golf cart rental, etc. Getting surprised with watching the sea turtles lay eggs on the beach at night was the cherry on top of a wonderful vacation. We would definitely return and are already planning our trip for next year!

Beautiful Stay

We had a great stay at the property. The management was very communicative after our reservation was made. They communicated promptly on WhatsApp and in perfect English. They helped us set up a golf cart rental for the week, and were a great guide in getting to the island and checking in with their staff. We had a great stay and hope to return next season!

Listing not accurate

The house was beautiful and maybe even a bit larger then the photos show. However the rooftop hot tub was not at all hot or usable. Also, the bathtub in the primary suite had no hot water and therefore was not usable either.

Beautiful View

The property was just like the pictures. The pool patio was an great place to relax with the ocean practically at your doorstep. The patio doors on both floors opened completely allowing for a great open air feeling. The road is fairly busy with moped/cart/cab traffic but the ocean waves mute most of it. We had only minor issues. The spa on the roof is essentially a dip pool, it is not heated and the jets don’t work. The stove/oven must have been new and there were no heating elements in the oven. Everything else worked great and we will definitely be back.

Stay

Over all it was fine. The checking process was a bit slow and weird. We were allowed to leave our bags there while the cleaning was being done, we came back about 1 hr later to find the cleaning person gone, no manager on site, the house unlocked with keys on the counter and all our bags upstairs. Waited another 45 minutes for the manager to show up to "check in". The other shortfalls were that the pool area and the rooftop areas were not properly cleaned with debris and even some cigarette buds on the ground. There were no paper towels to keep up the cleaning, and it lacked to be stocked with proper amount of kitchen goods for a house that sleeps 6 people. It seamed as the cleaning was done too fast and yet there was time left before check in. After indicating the issues to property management including a failed AC unit, they came up to address them all and in a short period of time. Management was over all good.

Week at Casa Javi aka Casa Abi Skye

Our family of 5 adults spent a week here. First time on this platform but used the other (starts with A) for many years- look for reviews on there, too. I rely on fellow renters for honest reviews, so here’s mine. Pros: Great location and amazing view of ocean from patio/pool. Easy to flag taxis out front. Filtered tap in kitchen + ice machine. A/C mini splits were cold. Couches comfy. But weirdly, no TV in living room where it would have been perfect for a movie night. Cons: Several items advertised were missing / inaccurate: No BBQ grill, which was one reason we booked. When asked, they seemed baffled and said that grills were not allowed b/c of fire risk? Oven was gas, weak, and could not cook frozen fries even at max temp. When we asked, we were told that most people don’t use the oven- they just go out to eat. Rooftop spa was in no way usable even after several convos and a visit by pool guys. No jets and no heat, then jets were on 24/7 which you could hear all through the house. The amount of chlorine added to the water was not safe- and made it too strong to soak in. The fumes were unreal. We chose this house for the spa tub (and grill) so this was a big disappointment. I would not have booked had I known. No hot water at kitchen sink. If you can overlook some cons, you can be happy here. Views! Sea glass on the beach! The management company needs to update their listings on these sites- especially after so many repeated comments about inaccuracies.
