Beautiful villa in a perfect setting

We had the most wonderful week in Villa Corallium! The villa was so spacious and clean - perfect for 6 people - with an incredible view of the sea and stunning sunsets from the gorgeous terrace.It was very well equipped and so comfortable, and the delicious home made meal waiting for us, as well as the bottle of wine, were so very welcome. Excellent Villa. Nice and relaxing holidays.

We stayed in Villa Corallium for one week in July 2014 and cannot recommend the place enough. The villa was very luxurious and it had a great sea view. I hope we get the change to visit the villa again soon.

This place is a piece of paradise. The villa exquisite and the views spectacular.

From my first contact, the information and assistance has been 1st class. The villa, its position and the local fare at the tavernas in a quiet " get away from it all " village is the perfect place to rest recuperate and relax. Our host was warm accessible and generous. Just simply an all round delightful 5 star holiday experience.

Simply heavenly

This is a little piece of heaven. The views were fab, the pool a decent size, the rooms all fantastic - and the place was spotless on arrival. We have stayed with Vasilis before in another of his properties and the welcome was as warm as before, with some of his wife's fantastic food awaiting us along with wine and some raki. We love the area as it is not on the main tourist trail and wondering down to the Taverna's in the evening to sit right next to the sea and eat delicious food was such a treat. We have booked again already!

Seculeded Paradise

The villa was perfect for my family of 4 adults and a preschooler. The property came fully stocked. A Cretan meal on arrival, views for miles, massive well decorated and presentable rooms. The place was spotless my clean and I loved the home away from home vibe with a touch of luxury.The pool was a good size, a smaller pool for the little one. It was a little on the cold side, but you do warm up. The villa had floaties, noodles, and floats for kids, a spade and bucket.We had a BBQ a few times which was easy to use. The local mini mart was able to help us stick up, however, you might need a bigger shop at the bigger supermarket. The local restaurants were great, would highly recommend Captain Fideas by the beach. Vassilis property is highly recommended.

Beautiful villa in traditional village

The villa is spacious, well furnished with all the facilities (kitchen, AC). The Wi Fi connexion was however weak, due to the village equipment. Maintenance service has been outstanding. It was an ideal stay for the family, and the children (4&12) enjoyed to swimm both at home and in the various beaches around. To leave in Sfinari means to be protected from mass tourism. The taverna on th beach provide authentic creatan healthy food. The view from the villa on the hills and on the sea is spectacular (included the daiy sun set!).

Hi, and thank you for your response. There is a small price for being off the beaten track, less predictable wifi. Unfortunately this is out of our hands, as it is based on the town's capabilities, but this will likely improve in time. I'm glad you felt comfortable in our villa. Come again!

Wonderful house, wonderful pieceful location .

The house is perfect. We were looking for tranquility and that is what we got with a smile. The house is very professional kept. The maintenance is splendid. The owner is a lovely man which has a very good service mind. When you put your things in the house it feels like yours. No other personal things is there. I love that. The house is located in a small village. No tourists. Only Greek people which are very friendly. On the small beach you find 3 nice restaurants with typical Greek food. Up at the road (10 minutes walk) there is 2 very small supermarket with milk /ice-cream/ bread and some road restaurants. We were a family with 2 boys (12/15 years) in the house. They loved it too. The pool was very appreciated. We can definitely recommend the house. We rented it trough Chania vacation and Margot helped us with everything. They were star- quality as the house, as Vassilis(the owner) We will definitely come back.

Gorgeous place to relax

We stayed at Villa Antonia which is the highest villa in the three. It was really lovely. Everything was great quality, the equipment provided meant we could cook most nights and then eat out on the terrace watching the sun go down. The pool was really lovely and the temperature was great. We spent quite a lot of time just hanging around at the villa to recuperate after a period of working very hard so we didn't explore very much. We did go to Elaphonsi and Falasarna beaches though, which were both amazing. The people in the little mini-market at the bottom of the steps gave us some tips of places to visit which was really useful. Vassilis also sorted out a taxi to Kissamos for us for one night which was really great. The only minor gripe (not really even a complaint) was that the grape vine above the pool seating area wasn't managed so sticky overripe grapes dropped onto the furniture all through the day attracting wasps and preventing us from using it. We didn't have anything suitable to clean them up and they fell every few minutes. It was a lovely spot so it was a shame. Seriously feels silly even mentioning it though!

Wunderbare Ort

Wir haben unserer Aufenthalt in das Haus in Sfinari sehr genossen. Der Blick ins Meer und der Küste aus der großzügige Terrasse ist wunderschön - auch aus der Suite in der erste Etage ist der Ausblick atemberaubend. Die Lage von Sfinari schenkt einem auch noch jeden Abend die Sonnenuntergänge...Ein Ort zum Entspannen! Spektakuläre Strände wie Balos oder Falassarna sind unweit von Sfinari. Der Eigentümer war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank!

....Just Wow....

From walking into the property to our final day everything was perfect. The Villa is situated on a quiet road, facing out to the sea. The views are breathtaking, you get a sneaky glimpse as you walk in the front door and then continues throughout the property. It was our first holiday away with our 5 month old daughter, everything was perfect for her. From the cot and the high chair, to the cleanliness of the villa and all the kitchen equipment. The welcome care package was a welcome surprise (water, milk, feta, yoghurt, wine and home cooked stuffed peppers and tomatoes). We couldn't have asked for a better home from home. The villa was exactly as described in the write up (though the write up didn't do this justice). The location is perfect - isolated but close to local amenities, attractions and tavernas. The supermarket is about a 25 minute drive, the closest taverna a 10 minute walk. It is was about a 15 minute drive to Falasarna Beach, a lovely sandy beach (though watch for the riptides). We were a family of 5 plus the baby. The villa meet all of our needs, from the 5 month old up to the 80 something year old. We don't often talk about returning back to a location - but we would do so in a heart beat here. An outstanding holiday home. Thank you.

Wonderful, wonderful villa

Once again, thank you Vassili for the use of your amazing villa for 3 glorious weeks. Villa Corallium is a truly spectacular villa and we throughly enjoyed our return visit this year. 5* quality throughout enhanced by Vassili's attention to detail and also restaurant recommendations - Gramboussa has delicious food as had the Eco restaurant at Mila which we visited twice. Great stay in lovely villa

We have greatly enjoyed our stay in Sfinari. We were received with great hospitality from Vasilis - they even had some food ready for us after our long trip! The house itself is beautiful, very spacious and clean, with a good sea view. It is located in a quiet / remote area - so it requires some driving and a rental car. The only real drawback was the WiFi which did not allow for streaming - but overall we would definitely recommend staying here. Elafonisi beach, Chania city and ancient Aptera were definitely highlights in the area.

Just like promised.... or even better!

Everything was just like we would have wanted it to be! Starting with the helpful contact and easy booking procedure to the support during our stay: it was just perfect! The house is simply beautiful in its architecture and equipment. Everything looked rather new-ish and was clean and practical. The setting of the house towards the sea on a hillside is stunning and the sunsets even in October, when the sun sets behind the mountains and colours the sea and the sky orange are breathtaking. There is another rather similar house just below the level of the swimming pool, still the setting guarantees everybody's privacy. Sfinari is a small village where there are hardly any tourists, which gives you a chance to have a chat with the lovely, friendly people living there. There are two mini-markets just down by the small street (hardly any traffic) and a few tavernas. The beach in Sfinari lies in a nook at the foot of the mountain. As it has pebbles of different sizes, you'd better bring some swimshoes. If you want a sandy beach with some good waves, drive to Falasarna. It takes you around 15-20 minutes via the serpentines to get there, but it is worth it. In October it was not crowded, and the water was still warm and crystal clear. In Sfinari, down by the sea directly on the beach, there are three tavernas. You can easily walk there - but you should bring a torch, as it will be pitchblack in autumn in the evenings. We loved Captain Fidias and his family and team! If you want fresh fish which is deliciously grilled and typical Greek appetizers as well as homemade Raki, you have to go there! Apparently, they are family with the house owner, and treated us just like extended family. All in all, we are 100% happy with the vacation we had in Villa Antonia!

Wonderful villa

A wonderful luxury villa in a superb, quiet setting. The villa is very well maintained by Vassillis and his team who cannot do enough for you. The welcome supper and fridge full of goodies provided by his wife were delicious. Vassillis told us about some local restaurants and we loved the one at Gramboussa and next time we hope yo visit the Eco restaurant at Mila. All in all a wonderful relaxing holiday made all the more pleasurable by the surroundings and service we received. Thank you.

the property itself was exactly as described and on the photos on the website.Also, very clean,as the swimming pool , too.But , in connection with the photos, these were made so that we can't see the village of Sfinari and all electric cables and transformer just in the field of view of the property :Not what we expected: we thought we had a sea view : it was a roof and cable view.. Night and day dogs baying... No, I wouldn't recommend this property ...

Dear guest, As described clearly on the website the villa is a part of a complex which is located on a hill. Klio villa is on the middle and ofcourse you can see only the roof of the property that is at the very bottom (Sophia villa). I am sorry about the cables but this is something we can't control, they're everywhere in Greece as we have the electricity lines like this. We have many reviews from past guests in our website and none of them complained about the view of the property. Views are like shown on photos nothing more or less. About the dogs yes at the village there are some of them around at homes, like any village in Crete but we have no complains so far about all day/night barking. I am really sorry if you didn't like the villa and I prefer to know that during your holidays so I could have tried to do anything to make it better for you. Regards, George

Lived up to all expectations

A stunning villa with views that could not fail to disappoint. We were a family of 5 and had plenty of room and everything we needed to give us a very comfortable and wonderful stay. The villa is very close to the beach side Tavernas and a short drive from the shops. Perfect. We'll be back for sure.

Wonderful Villa with amazing sea view.

We stayed for a week in Villa Corallium which is as beautiful as on the pictures. The house is superb, the view magnificeant. Sfinari is quiet and authentic, the sunsets are wonderful. The house is large and very well designed. The pool is wonderful looking out on the ocean. Sfinari is a great place from which to explore the western half of Crete. This is real Crete, preserved and authentic. Vassilis, the owner speaks impeccable english and german, and is very helpful and kind. The house has everything you might need. This is a wonderful place to relax or be active. C'est un merveilleux endroit, et la maison est superbe. N'hésitez pas.
