Thalassa enjoys one of the prime locations in beautiful Assos, elegantly designed and furnished and with spectacular views across Assos bay and the sea. The beach is only a short walk, less than one minute. The main bedroom has a double bed, with matching wardrobe, dressing table and chest of drawers. The main bedroom is on the upper floor with its own bathroom and has large balcony doors overlooking the stunning views of the sea and Assos bT

Great stay in prime location

The property was very clean, very nicely furnished and of a high spec. Everything worked! The view from both balconies was lovely and Assos very beautiful.

A great place to stay

This is a lovely, well-maintained property with everything you need for a short stay. Great views from the balconies for when you want to stay in, central location in village for when you fancy a little wander. Three tavernas, a cafe bar and two mini-markets all lie within a couple of minutes of the house. Two small, stony beaches are both a very short stroll from the front door - a lot of Kefalonian beaches are stony so don't let that put you off Assos! The sea, when we stayed, was warm and crystal clear. On the downside none of the dining-out options in the village are much good - it's basic tourist fare. We were disappointed not to be able to get good Greek food without leaving the village. The roads into and around Assos are pretty hairy and not something to be tackled unless stone-cold-sober. We wanted to enjoy wine with our meals which meant we had to make a choice between ho-hum, overpriced food with drink or better food minus the wine. Taxis are an option but we found them exorbitantly expensive. There's a lovely, friendly restaurant a couple of miles outside of town, Vegera. We got a lift there and a taxi back cost us 30 euro, almost as much as the meal! Overall though Assos is lovely and Thalassa is a great place to stay.

Lovely house in perfect location.

We had such a fantastic and relaxing holiday. The house was everything we wanted with fantastic views of beautiful Assos. There are many beautiful beaches nearby and we loved staying in Assos with the castle, friendly tavernas and useful little shops. Thank you!

The best place to stay in Assos

Really the most beautiful house in Assos! Very clean, elegantly furnished and with a perfect location, which allows you an incredible view. On arrival we found everything we needed.The great courtesy and kindness of Vicky and its impeccable organization makes your holiday like a dream.

Absolutely Lovely

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Assos staying at Thalassa. We cannot praise highly enough the wonderful accommodation - the quality of the house, the location and fantastic views. Before arrival we had quite a few questions/requests - you might say we were a bit of a nightmare family - as we were coming with our two year old son. However, nothing was too much trouble - our emails were answered promptly and everything was as promised on arrival. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and very spacious for the three of us and Marianna was there if you needed anything through not intrusive at all. Assos is a delightful village - clean, incredibly friendly and great for kids. We are hoping to book again next year.

A lovely place to stay

We had a marvellous week in Assos. We hired a car and enjoyed travelling around but thought Assos was the jewel in the crown. There isn't a wild night life but that suited us. We liked being able to visit the small group of bars and restuarants and appreciated the friendly and warm reception we received. Thalassa was prefect. It is a short walk down steps to the harbour for a swim and a short walk for a meal or a drink. It was a joy to be able to sit on the balconies that come off the living area and the bedroom and look out onto the harbour and the bay beyond.

Best Holiday Yet!!

I have been coming to Assos for the past 7 years, staying in various apartments/hotels. Talking to some of the locals in the village, it was mentioned that I should look at the new apartments Thimari, Thalassa and Pefko. With the permission of the kind owners, I had a quick look around the apartments and I can honestly say that all three were stunning!! Wonderful facilities... finished to a very high quality and absolutely beautiful to look at. As soon as I got back from my holiday... I called and booked two weeks for this summer!! I cannot wait!!

Great location.

Took a last minute holiday at Thalassa in Assos last September. I knew Kefallonia was nice from relatives that go regularly but I wasn't prepared for the stunning beauty of this Island. The property was just magic! We felt like we had discovered something really special. The owners were very helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, water and a bottle of wine made a huge difference as we arrived late and the local supermarket had closed. We are booked up again to go this summer!

Just back from Thallasa at Whitsun

First visit to Cephalonia and it didn't disappoint. Assos is a beautiful small village around a horseshoe bay, 3km down from the main road - driving not an issue at all. A handful of excellent restaurants around the waterfront and one further up the hill. Thalassa is almost new and is beautifully constructed, very sympathetic to the surrounding houses. Everything about the house is first class - the description is spot-on. The exceptional thing about the house is the view from the balcony over the bay - hard to drag yourself away. Housekeeping first class. This is not for you if you want a busy bustling seaside resort with speedboats and inflatable ride-on bananas! Not Club 18-30 territory I would think! You really need a car to get to see the island as there's no public transport to Assos and taxis would be expensive all week. Driving is easy and relaxed, apart from Argostoli there aren't many roads to get lost on. Highly recommended
