The beach offers first class facilities and is popular with the local and visiting Portuguese and it is home to two quality restaurants & a further Michelin guide restaurant; all within a few minutes walk of the development.

The villa is totally walled in providing good security, there is a 11x6m swimming pool set in gardens with outside shower, ample non slip terracing with sun beds, large balcony with dining table & chairs with views down to the beach and out to the ocean. The beach is approx. a 3-4 minute walk away.

The beach offers first class facilities and is popular with the local and visiting Portuguese and it is home to many quality beach front restaurants, all within a few minutes walk of the development

Amazing stay

We had a wonderful time staying at the villa. Location was amazing, very short walk to the beach. Pool was amazing, kitchen had everything you need and each bedroom had its own bathroom. Would 100% recommend.

Great location

The house was located steps from the beach with 2 great restaurants and Cabana chairs. We really enjoyed the pool and the A/C.

Fantastic house near Lagos

The house was a perfect base for us to enjoy time together as a family. Plenty of space in the house, great facilities and a very short walk to the beach. Just 5 min drive from Lagos meant there was lots on offer in terms of restaurants, bars and shops. Would definitely recommend this villa.

La maison est parfaite, très confortable. Elle est idéalement située, à quelques mètres de la plage et très proche du super village de Lagos . Restaurants à proximité… Je recommande cette location 🤗 Petit bémol : la piscine n’était pas chauffée !

Lovely stay.

The villa was the perfect get away for myself and friends. It is the perfect space to slow down and unwind. Would recommend booking the close restaurants in advance as they seemed to get booked up very quickly! Thank you.

Lovely beach side property with great pool and amenities

The property is lovely and in great condition. It includes 5 bedrooms, a large living space, and well equipped kitchen. The outdoor pool is beautiful and there are great views of the sea from the upstairs balcony, perfect for having some dinner and drinks. The only negative is that the property is not that near a supermarket, so a car would be a plus, although Ubers and taxis are relatively cheap

Beautiful villa, gorgeous beach

We had a fabulous week at the villa. Everything was just as advertised, including the beautiful beach just a few steps down the hill. The villa is spacious with plenty of pool and patio furniture available. The bathrooms are huge! There are two very nice restaurants/beach bars at the bottom of the hill or a walk (quite hilly) into Lagos takes about 30 minutes. John was super accommodating allowing us to check in early and answering questions about the villa promptly. We (four adults) enjoyed our week very much - I'm missing the sound of the sea already!

Great Villa, Great Location

We received a very warm reception from John the owner. The Villa is even more impressive than the photos, spotlessly clean, nice décor and huge rooms. The villa has 5 bedrooms all with air conditioning and 6 bathrooms. There is a large modern lounge/dining room, with wireless router with free WiFi connection. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need such as: hob, electric oven, microwave, kettle, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine etc. The exterior features a swimming pool, sun loungers, dining table with chairs on the balcony and a barbecue. There are fantastic views to the beach at Porto Mos and beyond. The beach at Porto Mos is lovely and we found the villa to be in a perfect location to explore the area. You’re not far from a beautiful beach called Praia do Camillo. There’s a scenic boardwalk from the centre of Porto Mos to Ponta da Piedade and the beach at Praia do Camillo. We walked there one morning to see the sunrise. It’s a stunningly beautiful beach, a steep walk down (about 200 steps) but worth it. Lagos is a short car journey away or there’s a bus stop at the Porto Mos beach which takes you into the centre. (If you walk it takes about 25mins). Kai Nui SUP & Kayak on Praia da Batata beach are where to go if you want to hire paddle boards or kayaks. It was a great way to explore the Algarve coast and caves. Restaurants – Would recommend Campimar on the beach at Praia do Porto de Mos. The food is lovely, although the service can be slow. In comparison, we found the service better at O Antonio, but the food was awful. Had a fantastic Tuna steak at a restaurant in Lagos called ‘Casa do Prego’ and would also recommend ‘O Camillo’ at Praia do Camillo.

Excellent vacation

Very comfortable living for up to 12 people. We appreciated the service minded owner, the modern house, the private swimmingpool pool and the big big pool deck. We used it for group yoga. Lagos during summer time is a great kite surfing place.

Excellent Villa near the beach

Just back from a fabulous 10 days in L50 villa. Couldn't fault the accommodation. Ideal for large families, annexe has a double bed and a set of bunk beds which we felt was not ideal for children being so far away from main living areas. Carla greeted us in the property and dealt with the few issues we raised immediately - namely no beach towels supplied for pool use and a broken tile at pool side. Porto de Mos is around a 30 minute walk into the centre of Lagos which has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Alternatively if you prefer the local taxi company is very reliable and costs around 6 euros. There are 3 restaurants within walking distance of the villa. To-date I am still waiting on my deposit to be reimbursed. Would certainly visit again.

Perfectly located, spacious villa with great views

Three generations of our family enjoyed two lovely weeks in June at this very spacious villa. The accommodation was comfortable and well equipped, and the views from the balcony areas very picturesque. With three children under the age of 5 in our group the villa was perfectly located within easy reach of a beautiful sandy beach which is ideal for families. There were two popular beach-side restaurants close by (booking recommended even though we were not staying in high season), but we often chose to barbecue in the evenings, which was easy with everything you need available at an excellent supermarket only a short drive away. Set in an attractive location not far from the vibrant town of Lagos with its appealing mix of traditional market, stylish marina and lively town squares, the villa had plenty of room for us all with wide terraces and a stunning pool area which we all enjoyed. A really great villa for a large group, whatever the age range.

Fantastic Villa

We had an amazing week at this villa. The villa is so spacious with huge terraces and amazing views. We travelled as an extended family of 10, 2 families with children and one set of grandparents. The layout meant each family had their own privacy which was brilliant. Our children are always supervised but before I travelled I was slightly worried about the infinity pool, but this was no issue at all. The ledge is wide so there was no way anyone could accidently fall out! We would love to return again next year.

Lovely family holiday

We have just returned from a fabulous family holiday of 9 adults and 3 children the villa was exactly as shown in the pictures beautiful views of the sea and local beach from the terrace! We will defiantly be returning.. thank you John

April 2019 Casa Mar Villa

We enjoyed a fabulous 10 day stay in Casa Mar.We were a family of 9 including both sets of grandparents. It is so spacious with a twin room and a double room on the upper level and a twin and a double on the lower pool level all ensuite. There is a separate annex which has a double bed and bunks. This suited our 17yr old son who enjoyed his own space. The villa has a huge balcony area with beautiful sea views and was a real sun trap. We spotted dolphins one morning! The beach is only a short walk away.There is a path but the last few metres is a steep enough dirt track. Our parents in their seventies managed fine but it could be difficult if anyone had any mobility issues.We tried both beach restaurants Campimar and Antonios and both are excellent. Even better was Amorizade a family run French restaurant 2 mins walk around the corner. Lagos and Porto do Mos areas are really beautiful and loads to do. We did the cliff top walk from Porto do Mos across to Luz and would highly recommend it. Overall an excellent holiday in Johns villa. Communication with John was very easy with quick responses. Carla who showed us around the villa was lovely too. Thanks so much to you both. Lorna Middleton

We know this area well so the villa was great for our family holiday. The villa was fitted out & decorated to a high standard. our 21yr old son loved the annex room it as he felt he had his own space with his own door. Brilliant time & would definitely stay again & recommend this villa.
