Property was clean, well appointed and close to amenities, grocery store, restaurants and beaches. Buses take you just about anyware. I would definitely stay there again

Holiday 2024

Stay was fantastic! Communication was great and location was in close proximity to beaches and restaurants. Gated complex even though location was quite safe. Large deck and interior space was plenty for a group of 6. Beach chairs provided with stay came in handy. On site pool was never occupied and felt like our own and allowed for nice cool off alternative from ocean.

13 Nights @ Fitts Village

The property was great; really spacious, very well equip, air con throughout, comfortable huge beds, lovely quiet pool area and no disturbances. Fitts Village is a pleasant village, with a Supermarket, inbetween Sandy Lane resort and Bridgetown so convenient spot to jump in the car and drive around the Island. However we found limited walkable options of an evening for food and drinks beyond a very pleasant Italian on the beach front.

Great base!

Brilliant stay at Summerland villas. The property was spacious, secure and perfect for our 10 day trip in Barbados. 3 minute walk from Jordan’s supermarket and 2 minute walk to Fitts Village Beach. The property does have quite a lot of road noise when sitting on the balcony but we drowned this out with music! Really close to the bus stop (although reggae busses stop anywhere) and easy distance from all the best restaurants (Lonestar, Tides, The Cliff). I think the check in process could be improved. We weren’t met by anyone (lockbox check in) and there was no welcome pack left so we had no idea about any of the gate codes, WiFi code, late check out etc. And had to keep emailing island villas. It would be nice if someone could meet you or a booklet was left for clarity ease when landing.

Ideal location and Perfect Vacation Accommodation

My husband and I stayed 9-nights at this property and loved it. While the directions to the unit were a bit complicated and check-in wasn't seamless, everything else was perfection. A community pool in the complex provided a nice relaxing area to cool off if we did not want to go back down to the beach. No one ever used it but us, so it felt like a private pool. The patio in the unit was amazing and we loved the fact that they had beach chairs, plenty of towels, a sun umbrella and float to use. Great touches. The master bedroom was the one we stayed in and the bed was comfy, loved the option of the fans or a/c in each room. The kitchen was equipped with a decent array of cooking utensils, which was nice given we cooked most of our meals. The location was the absolute highlight as we are not huge touristy, large crowds, or noise lovers. The beach was right across the street with easy access. The beach had some small waves on some days (which was nice) and calm on others (also great for snorkelling). There is a grocery store a few minutes away which is convenient and helpful, although we used the larger store up the road. We rented a car to see the entire island and experience all of the culture and different vibes of each parish, which is highly recommended. I would highly recommend this property to a family or a few couples who come to Barbados to explore and discover, but not be in the party or activity scene. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Beautiful Condo

Loved this condo. Gorgeous and very well appointed. Close to everything. For us, the only drawback which will prevent us from returning was the location on a busy highway. Too noisy. We tried sitting on the balcony, which is huge and lovely, but after a few days couldn’t handle the loud buses. Doors stayed closed. So unfortunate as we truly loved the property. Great grounds and pool too.

Beautiful Landscaping

Beautiful and clean villa with lots of parking . Wonderful gem on the west coast. Directly across from beach access and the pool area is spacious and beautifully landscaped with palms and flowers. We even saw a monkey family in the parking lot on the mango tree!

A little bit to expensive.

The apartment was nice and spacious throughout with a generous balcony and good communal pool. There is an Italian resteraunt on the nice beach just across the road and a supermarket nearby but very little else. However buses are frequent going into Holetown 10 mins away, Bridgetown 15 mins and Speightstown 20mins. Oistins fish fry was enjoyable but a good 40 mins away. We really enjoyed our stay at Summerland and liked the location.

A nice little sanctuary

The villa itself is very clean and well maintained. The shared pool area was great and we spent most of our mornings there. Our unit was very spacious and a great location for two couples. We had plenty of room and did not feel like we were tripping all over each other except when working in the kitchen. It is pretty tiny and really only a space for one person at a time. One suggestion would be a bigger coffee maker. The tiny 2 cup one that they had was not very practical for us. some folks have complained about the noise of the busy road outside but really it was not bad. Loud in the middle of the day for sure but at night we never heard a thing and slept pretty soundly. Beaches are an easy walk - best one was Batts Rock - very private and clean. bus service up and down the main road is very cheap and easy to use. One complaint, the one time that we decided to spend the whole day around the pool, the honey wagon showed up to pump out the septic system. It was loud and the smell of sewage and diesel fumes was too much to take. Make sure you find out if it is scheduled for any days during your visit and make plans to be away for the day.

Very impressive property, well layed out ...but too close to the highway !!!

We enjoyed our 2 week stay at Summerland, however the bed in the master was so hard it actually hurt my back. Had to use extra pillows to sleep on. My biggest complaint would be how close we were to the main highway.....beautiful big patio, but you couldn't hear each other over the roar of the buses, very hard to sleep through.... The staff at Summerland are the best, Janice was a joy to be around,

wonderful stay nice beach nice pool great location

We were very happy with our stay at summerland villas.The apartment was very well equipped and clean and the grounds and pool were very well maintained. The pool is wonderful and the beach directly in front of the villa was very nice. The beach has very good snorkling lots of coral and the swimming is quite good if you walk a few steps towards waves hotel. Very convenient having the grocery store a short 4 minute walk up the road, very nice being able to buy what you need on a daily bases. We found a wonderful little restaurant a short cab ride towards Holetown, (Just Grillin) Great food with very reasonable prices. With only a 15 US dollar cab to Bridgetown or Holetown or very easy bus ride makes it easy to get to for sight seeing and shopping. We would definitely recommend this villa to friends.

True to the pictures

Summerland is a great hideaway. The villa is clean homey and spacious. We had a very pleasant stay. Only suggestion would be to have full length mirrors in the bedrooms it was had for 5 women which included a bride to get dressed without a full length mirror. Otherwise I would definitely rent again. Beautiful place close to the beach.

Will Come Again

The villa was just as advertized and very convenient for me. Clean, well equipped, on the bus route and close to Cave Hill. Not many eating options close by though. I will certainly recommend to friends. It would be my go to place when on the West coast.

A little piece of paradise

We had a wonderful time at Summerland Villas. Our suite was spacious, beautifully furnished and the best part - a hop skip and a jump away from the beach. It was so nice to unwind on our large balcony after a day of sight seeing. I really appreciated how clean and well maintained the suite and surrounding property were kept. The security gate and locked entrances really helped us feel safe and secure. Having a full and furnished kitchen was great - we cooked a lot of our meals and picked up our groceries at Jordans, just minutes away. Overall, we had a great time.
