The bothy is a detached 2 bedroomed property on the outskirts of Beadnell village. The cosy lounge leads out onto a covered patio area with rocking chair seat where you can enjoy a glass of wine whilst soaking in the sunsets. There is a large double bedroom and a twin bedded room. The family bathroom has a walk in shower and separate bath.

The compact kitchen with fully kitted out with fridge and freezer, dishwasher and stove.
Parking is available for 2 cars and garden is fully enclosed

The perfect base to explore Northumberland

The Bothy is a delightful little cottage and is ideally situated to explore the area. Deceptively spacious, it is quiet, cosy and comfortable and we could not fault the amenities provided. The private back garden looks out onto open countryside and we enjoyed just sitting and looking at the sheep and wildlife. All booking information and instructions are easily accessible and completely stress free. A wonderful welcome awaited us and our dog and, although we never needed to contact the owners, we knew they would be there if we needed them. We did meet one of the owners as we were leaving and they were very friendly and open to suggestions on how things could be improved. We couldn't think of a single thing. We could just come and go as we pleased and Beadnell is only a short, easy walk away to a lovely beach and great restaurants. All in all we had a brilliant holiday in Northumberland and loved how dog friendly the area is. Our dog can be reactive to noise and passersby at home and the only time he barked was as we were packing up to leave! We would not hesitate to stay at The Bothy again and would like to thank Sam and the team for all they did in making our stay so welcoming and comfortable.

Fabulous location

A quiet and comfortable place to stay. A super welcome pack provided by the owner. Dogs are well catered for and the fantastic beaches are nearby. Will definitely book again.

A lovely little hideaway

We absolutely loved our little hideaway & so much so we have booked again for next year!! We loved our welcome treats & beautiful little home with the most amazing views. It offered tranquility & a comfortable space for 4 adults & a dog. We could easily walk to meet our friends staying at the caravan site & to the pubs & beach. Thank you to all the Team at Mains Cottages - we will be back!!

Nice cottage, dog friendly, unfortunately garden tired, broken glass found in garden, grubby patio, clothes left in drawers from previous clients, toilet cystern broke, on a good note the bed was very comfortable and the welcome pack was a nice touch!

Bank Holiday visit.

Our 3rd visit to The Bothy, and it didn't disappoint. Very well equipped, great views over the fields towards Bambrough Castle. Very comfortable beds, and Polly the Pointer loved Grandma's treats. So good we have recommended it to our neighbours who are due to visit shortly.

We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable well equipped cottage dogs very welcome and catered for. Welcome pack of wine and cake and treats for Millie our dog a ,nice thought , good location with views of countryside and sea. We look forward to returning in the future. Ann and Tony

Beautiful cottage

The cottage is a lovely size for family of 4 and the view out is wonderful we loved seeing the lambs. The cottage is well equipped. It was a lovely touch arriving to a yummy cake & prosecco as it was my birthday whilst staying here. Escape to the Northumberland coast

We loved staying in the beautiful cosy cottage. The views were stunning & it was the perfect base for touring the Northumberland coast. The host was friendly and very helpful.

Cosy cottage just outside Beadnell

Lovely 2 bedroomed cottage with views out over the fields of sheep. Great for a week with our 2 Collies. Safe enclosed spacious garden with a covered shelter where we could clean them off before going into cottage. Great place to light a fire pit & watch the sunset after a busy day, even in October! Cottage was small but welcoming, with very comfy bed, would stay here again.

Lovely cottage

We had a lovely time in Northumberland and The Bothy was a great base from which to explore. It's small but perfectly formed! The beds are super comfy, kitchen well equipped and lounge/dining room just right. Shower stall is very snug (for us larger ladies) but manageable for a week. One thing to be aware of; although the garden is completely enclosed, anything larger than a Chihuahua could easily hop over the stone wall into the garden next door!

Nice, comfortable cottage, within walking distance of the beach, and handy for a good pub & several café’s & restaurant’s. Within a short car ride of Seahouses & Bamburgh Castle.

Another wonderful stay

This was our 3 stay at the Bothy. We had all the properties for a family party, As we have learnt to expect everything was wonderful clean & comforable. The accommodation is great for a couple or with children. The owners are amazing & great to deal with from booking to arrival & departure. Thank once again. Have already booked for next year.

Amazing

Will certainly be back, just needed 'tweeking' slightly, rugs /mats at side of beds as was laminated flooring but all in all just what we needed, peace and quiet, wonderful views
