Salcombe is a historic fishing and sailing town that has become famous as a holiday destination because of its natural beauty and its local charm. Blessed with more beaches than you can visit in a week, a jaw-dropping estuary and magnificent walks along the South West Coast Path, it’s also filled with local traditions. For example, there’s the Town Regatta, excellent sailing opportunities and an ice cream factory. There is also the Salcombe Gin Distillery, which has a bar overlooking the water serving Gin cocktails as well as excellent coffees. You can’t leave without sampling the town’s unparalleled clotted cream fudge, visiting the magnificent bakery and restaurants such as Captain Flint’s and The Winking Prawn, which have practically become a rite of passage for visitors.

Perfect house in the perfect location…
We had an amazing stay for a week in August. The house was immaculate and perfect for family living. Right in the middle of Salcombe within walking distance of everything but discreetly tucked away. Adrian the property host was on hand to help with anything we needed to make it a memorable stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others and look forward to returning soon!
