ABOUT CASA BORGO MOMMIALLA
A beautifully restored 2 bedroom apartment with private garden and shared infinity pool with panoramic views over the stunning countryside between Gambassi Terme and Montaione. This property is a perfect retreat for those aiming for a truly relaxing and comfortable stay in one of the most beautiful and original settings in Tuscany.
The apartment is situated within a lovingly restored hamlet overlooking the timeless rolling landscapes of Tuscany with the ancient city of Volterra in the background.
The property covers the entire ground floor of a two stories building, measuring 125 square meters of internal space, plus a 30 square meters private terrace, and 500 square meters of private garden.
A well exposed unit, free on 3 sides, with plenty of natural light, large rooms, and the terrace cleverly appointed in the West facing side so as to allow shade in the hot morning sun, and enjoying more light int eh afternoon and more importantly enjoying superb sunsets!
The interiors are characterized by exposed terracotta ceilings and chestnut beams, shuttered windows with screens, restored chestnut doors and terracotta tile floors, all that you wish from a restored Tuscan farmhouse.
The access to the apartment is via a small private terrace, opening onto a large hallway from where all the rooms are easily accessible. To the far left is the generous sized living room with working fireplace, a large dining room, both with French windows leading onto the private terrace, and a superbly appointed kitchen with everything you may need to prepare wonderful meals, including a wood stove. It comes with gas hob, oven, fridge, freezer, dish washer. The dining room comes with a solid timber dining table with seatings for up to 6 people.
The living room has comfortable sofa, armchairs, a flat TV set, and a superb stereo system.
The terrace has outdoor table and chairs ideal for al fresco dining, a sun shade and lounge chairs, all in view of a very well-tended garden with mature trees and flowers, and the views beyond.
Back to the hallway, we come to the master bedroom ensuite with shower, access hidden behind the wardrobe central door, and plenty of wardrobe space.
From the same hallway, to the other side, is the second double bedroom, with French doors opening directly onto the private terrace.
The second large bathroom with shower is directly off the hallway, so it can be used exclusively for the second bedroom.
The far end of the hallway leads to a small studio, and from here a further door elads to the laundry room with washing machine and wash basin.
The property comes with cooling/heating system in the living room, kitchen and hallway. Leaving the air con on in the evening before bed allows cool air to reach the bedrooms, which are also fitted with fans. Also satellite TV and unlimited wi-fi, outdoor lounge set, bed and bathroom linen, fully fitted kitchen with cooking utensils, pans, dishes and crockery. All windows come with mosquito nets.

ABOUT THE RESORT
Welcome to Mommialla - a small borgo founded around 970 on a south-facing slope along the ancient road between Voltera and Gambassi Terme. The village was reconstructed according to Italian historical guidelines and completed in 2012. Brought back to life from ruins, it stands today as it was over 1100 years ago, rebuilt with quality and modern conveniences.
Mommialla consists of 4 buildings, 15 individual apartments, a large beautiful shared infinity pool and over 70 private hectares of olive groves, meadows, and open forest to explore and enjoy. The overall environment is one of spectacular views, quiet relaxation, and natural beauty.
A beautiful, outdoor, shared, infinity swimming pool with incredible views is a short walk from the apartment. There are umbrellas and chairs dedicated to each apartment for relaxing around the pool area. The pool provides a perfect respite after a day of sightseeing and for a refreshing swim, and there you will have your appointed private area reserved for your entire stay.
Mommialla is easily accessed via a 3 km well-maintained unpaved road. There is a private parking area and the apartment has a dedicated spot for our guest’s exclusive use.
Nearby you will find fresh local farm-to-table foods, grocery stores, many fine restaurants, classic wineries, golf, thermal baths, hiking, biking, and, of course, the many ancient and beautiful cities of Tuscany.

Compulsory extra charges on site:

- Heating and A/C: €70,00 per week

Duration of stay: minimum stay is 7 nights.
Changeover day: Any day arrival in High season. Saturday arrival in Peak season.
Check-in: From 3:00 pm. to 6pm.
Check-out: By 10:00 am.
