Opposite the pub is the volunteer run village shop to enable you to stock up on essential supplies and local produce, or the Thatched Tavern pub at Maidencombe along with the beach, cafe and paddleboard hire. Next door is Orchard Organic Farm with a small farm shop selling organic eggs (tip - get the extra large ones!).
There are also many outdoor activities within the area including horse riding, golf and kayaking to name a few.

The stable is situated in an ideal location, whether you wish to make a short trip to the seaside or make it an active day on the South West Coast Path. You are just a few miles away from the spectacular views and walks on Dartmoor. For those who want some retail therapy you are close to the historic city of Exeter, the market town of Newton Abbot and the famous Torquay English Riviera and harbour.
