Not the type of place for elderly or people with walking issues. Bedroom size wise very good limited storage. Bathroom, shower good but no handles, toilet okay but low, sink very small. Also in this area rail to hang clothes and mirrors etc for ladies. Living/dining/kitchen very very compact sofa very low. Access from parking spot is by 12 steps and not good for elderly or people with disabilities.

We had a very comfortable stay at The Hideaway.

We had a very comfortable stay at The Hideaway. It was exceptionally clean and as you'd like to find it. It's situated in a lovely quiet street. We didn't meet the owners but they did contact us to offer any assistance should we need it, so that was nice to know. The only thing that would have been handy to know was when the robot hoover might come out as I'd left some magazines on the floor and they were obviously an obstacle for it! Overall we had a wonderfully relaxing week, a perfect base to explore the local area 😊

The Hideaway provides a great base for two in Torbay.

The Hideaway provides a great base for two in Torbay. The harbour and beach are within walking distance but it is hilly so you may prefer to drive. There are loads of attractions nearby, I recommend visiting Cockington Village which is beautiful, and try the steam railway from Paignton to Dartmouth if you need something to do if it’s not beach weather. The accommodation is lovely, welcoming and comfortable, the bed is huuuuge! There’s a nice terrace area outside and you get your own parking space. We had a lovely time there, I hope you do too!
