This lovely apartment is located close to all the main touristic attractions worth visiting in the historic area of Porto. It comprises of a well-equipped kitchen, two comfortable bedrooms with access, a living room and a full bathroom. This two bedroom apartment is suitable for families or a group of 4 friends traveling together to our lovely city! Situated in the historic area of Porto, you will be close to all the famous spots worth visiting such as the Bolhao Market, Santa Catarina Street, Aliados Avenue, and the river!

The apartment itself comprises of:
- Two bedrooms with a double bed/two single beds and comfortable linen;
- A well-equipped kitchen that comes with all the appliances and utensils you may require to prepare a delicious homemade meal;
- A bathroom with a shower, towels and toilet paper.
- A lovely balcony where you can take in the lively Porto's atmosphere.

The decor has been selected with the utmost care to ensure a you are welcomed by a warm, comfortable and harmonious environment! We are certain you will have an enjoyable stay here and we look forward to welcoming you!

On arrival we found stains on the sofa and moles in the bathroom. If we weren’t so tired we would of requested another stay.

Great flat for a break

We had the flat for a weekend for my family. The rear bedroom is very quiet. The decoration is beautiful and it’s a lovely flat. There is some noise in the front bedroom from traffic and people on the street at night. There are great facilities, a supermarket at the end of the street and many cafes. It’s close to the metro if you need it.

Not as good as we had hoped

The street (red light area) was very noisy, especially at night, it was quite hard to sleep sometimes .The kitchen was not ideal, and we hadas to ask

Extended stay in lovely apartment

We rented this apartment for 2 months and were really happy overall, both the apartment and location were what we wanted. Very spacious, well equipped kitchen, quiet building. Back bedroom with 2 single beds is vastly quieter than the front bedroom on the street. Back beds are very comfortable. This is just slightly outside the main tourist zone but near everything. Lots of small local eateries, pastry shops and a few bars. Easy access to Metro and a huge grocery store is one block away. LovelyStay helped with a small heating issue but it was dealt with in less than a day, very responsive.

Portugal

Our cab driver warned us about the neighborhood as he dropped us off. Lots of noise, from traffic and people all night long. Apartment was on third floor, not 2nd floor and no elevator. Not especially clean and not as represented. We checked out after one night.

Disappointed with charge for maintenance

We broke a small panel of glass (10cm x 10cm) in the bathroom door, which was not safety glass. We were charged 73 Euros to replace it which we consider extortionate. Also on the same street there were Two brothels one just doors away.

Porto Lovely Stay

Poor internet quality. Couldn’t work from location, FaceTime, download/upload not adequate bandwidth for simplest tasks. Property management told us service was adequate. Spend tests and practical usage proved otherwise. Do not suggest this place. Smell of septic coming from bathroom most of the time we were in apartment. Understand a problem with some city locations, even with window open, (nice option for city) bathroom odor was strong. Location and “welcome” location was an inconvenience. Never have had to go to another location prior to getting to rental. Keep looking…..

Cool Authentic Apartment

This apartment is an older and renovated. Loved the charm. The original floor to ceiling wood shutters, original doors, original wood flooring and original ceiling were awesome. Loved the small balcony so that we could look out onto the street. The beds were very comfortable. I really appreciated that there were floor fans available in several rooms because I like a little background white noise when I travel. One thing that would be nice for me would be someone available to show us around the apartment when we arrive. We checked into the Lovely Stay office and were given the keys but it's always nice to have a walk through when you arrive. The wifi was a little bit slow which was only an issue when trying to do video calls (one of us was working remotely). We had a grocery story just half a block away which was really convenient. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby too. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would certainly stay here again.

Our POV...

Regarding the apartment itself, overall the size of the living quarters was fine. Be aware apartment is on the 3rd floor – no elevator, quite a few stairs. The sofa is quite tired and stained. The wooden doors to the half balcony are in need of some repairs. Main bedroom, mattress and pillows were not comfortable. Spare room was fine and had a spare sink. Spare room and living room library were quite dusty. In the kitchen which we used daily could use more sturdy and comfortable chairs. The cookware such as pizza pan, cooking pans, cutlery, utensils were not enough for a family of four. No issues regarding hot water for showering. Huge grocery store “Continente” at the end of the street where you can easily find anything needed. Be advised: at the end of the street on both sides there are “bawdy house”. It’s a busy street, so expect it to be noisy.

L’appartement était plutôt conforme à l’annonce. Par contre très très bruyant. Aucune isolation, on dormait dans la rue. Une rue qui est d’ailleurs celle des prostituees. On devait passer devant elles chaque fois qu’on sortait, même en pleine journée. Nous avons dû supporter une horrible odeur d’égout dans la salle de bain pendant tout notre séjour. Les équipements étaient sommaires. Pas de pince à linge, 1 seul sac poubelle pour une semaine.
