Dear Vrbo Representatives,
I am writing to formally complain about a recent disappointing experience with a reservation made through your platform. We booked an establishment advertised as an "apart hotel," trusting that we would find a space suitable for our family's needs. We were traveling with young children, ages 3 and 5, and it was crucial for us to have an apartment where we could cook and provide them with a spacious and comfortable area.
Unfortunately, upon arrival, we discovered that the place was actually a hotel, not an apart hotel as advertised. This distinction is significant because the main reason we opted for an "apart hotel" was to have access to kitchen facilities and a larger, more suitable space for our children.
We approached the hotel manager to explain our situation and request a cancellation of the reservation. However, we were denied the cancellation, leaving us unable to stay in a place suitable for our needs. This situation caused us great inconvenience and frustration, as we had to find alternative accommodation at the last minute, which proved to be difficult and expensive.
We request the following actions:
1. An immediate review and correction of the listing on your platform to accurately reflect the nature of the establishment.
2. A full refund for the reservation, as the incorrect description of the accommodation prevented us from using it as planned.
3. Measures to prevent other users from experiencing a similar situation in the future.
