Rancho del Lago is a spectacular estate property located just 4 miles (10 minutes) from the heart of historic downtown Durango and 28 miles (35 minutes) south of Purgatory Ski Resort.

This Turtle Lake residence is unlike any other set in a gorgeous meadow with majestic views of the surrounding mountains, unique rock outcroppings, and Colorado bluebird skies. The usable 20 acres showcase a main residence, guesthouse, and over-sized two car garage. The exterior of the homes incorporate a gorgeous mix of corrugated metal, stone and reclaimed barn wood creating the quintessential Colorado mountain estate. The grounds are fenced for horses and include gorgeous landscaping around the house with woodlands, aspens, cottonwoods and healthy pastures beyond.

The 3,100 square foot main house features 4 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms and amazing views out the floor-to-ceiling windows. The wood burning stone fireplace, hardwood floors and exposed wood trusses create a cozy spot to relax with friends and family. The open kitchen and dining room overlook the living area creating the ideal entertaining environment. The gourmet's kitchen features a double oven, 6-burner gas range top, quartzite counters, farmhouse sink, stainless steel appliances and an island with bar seating. Located just off the kitchen is a true mudroom with a door to the outside to remove muddy boots and clean up at the utility sink. The private master suite is located on the opposite side of the main level with a gas fireplace, private walk-out patio and big master closet with built-in shelving. The en-suite bath features Spanish-style detailing, dual vanity, soaking tub and separate shower. There is also a small office off the the main living space.

Upstairs is an additional loft living room and the other 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The detached garage can be accessed from the house via the covered breezeway.

The 1,230 square foot guest house features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and an open kitchen and living space, full bath with laundry, a large master bedroom and two bedrooms on the upper level as well as a great deck with views. Access to thousands of acres of National Forest are within minutes and the Colorado Trailhead is short walk up the road.

This lakefront property is one of seven properties on Turtle Lake with roughly 600 feet of water frontage.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations that are made more than thirty (30) days prior to arrival date will incur no penalty and all amounts paid will be refunded in full. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within thirty (30) days of the arrival date, forfeit the entire reservation amount. For reservations that are at least thirty (30) nights, the cancellation policy increases to sixty (60) day prior to the arrival date to receive a full refund with no penalty. We do offer travel insurance.

we enjoyed cooler weather. house was comfortable it lack many items kitchen towels only two or three cooking pans very limited only three doors locked out of six. we had no fans in the house had to call for them.

We were also glad that you contacted us during your stay about the fans. We were more happy to provide 6 fans as soon as we heard from you to make your stay more enjoyable. Although there are more than 6 doors in the house, there are a few that are locked for storage purpose including for the owner's items and housekeeping-- we're sure you understand the necessity of having secure storage space.
