Just a short stroll to the beach, the home includes a pool with a large patio, fully equipped outdoor kitchen, dining and living areas, as well as a full outdoor bathroom with rain shower. Air conditioned interiors provide a welcome respite, or open the many windows and delight in the fresh island breeze.

Interiors are decorated in casual island style. The tile floors and area rugs provide the perfect balance between sandy feet and easy luxury. Enjoy cocktails at the bar or view your vacation photos on the large screen smart TV in the adjacent living room area. High speed Internet/Wifi and cable TV are included. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals at home (staples are provided); indoor dining provides seating for 10. Start your day with a coffee or tea by the pool (the coffee/tea bar is fully stocked). The main floor also includes a bedroom with full size bed, a full bathroom and laundry room.

Upstairs is a great room with master king size bed (this can be converted upon request to 2 twin size beds). There is a full bath with rain shower and double vanity as well as a large sitting area with a big screen smart TV and numerous games and DVD's for your amusement. There are 2 more bedrooms upstairs; one is furnished with a queen size bed, the other is furnished with a full size bed. All beds are made especially comfortable with memory foam mattresses or toppers and hotel quality bedding and all bedrooms are equipped with TV's. The bedroom of your choice may be set up as a nursery; baby/infant gear is available upon request (pack and play, changing table, diaper pail, toys, etc.). The living room couch can provide sleeping for an additional 2 people.

Wake up to paradise with breakfast on your pool deck, indulge in a peaceful morning swim, then head to the powder sand beach, just a minute away. Beach chairs, towels and umbrellas are included. Or try your hand at fishing or snorkeling with the provided gear. At day's end, indulge in the decadence of an outdoor shower or bath among the trees. Enjoy grilling and dining in the well equipped outdoor poolside kitchen, which includes gas grill, sink, fridge and full compliment of dishes. Take the time to stargaze on a lounge chair or the hammock and revel in the pleasure of this amazing place.

Sanctuary Cottage is located on a quiet street, within easy walking distance of the beach, grocery stores, pharmacy, bank and restaurants The quaint fishing community of Spanish Wells lies just off the coast of North Eleuthera and is easily accessible by plane (at the International Airport, North Eleuthera), boat or ferry (Bahamas Ferries offers daily trips from Nassau to Spanish Wells). Golf carts are available for rent and can be waiting for you at the dock when you arrive. Spanish Wells is picture perfect with historical British Colonial cottages and colorful gardens. There are numerous restaurants and bars to sample our local cuisine and taste our signature drinks. The Spanish Wells Public Park is a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike to watch the sunset, play on the park equipment and jump off the bridge (a popular local swimming spot). This tight-knit community really knows how to celebrate special occasions; events usually include fireworks, food, music, fun and games. Visitors are invited to participate in community events organized around annual holidays.

Spanish Wells is the fishing capital of The Bahamas. There are numerous experienced guides available to take you on an aquatic adventure. Swimming with the pigs, beaching on nearby islands and cays, snorkeling, spear fishing, reef fishing, deep sea fishing and bone fishing are some activities you could include in your venture.

Nearby, the main land of Eleuthera (meaning "Freedom") is worth a visit. Rent a car and explore the freedom of 90 miles of coastline, beaches, Glass Window Bridge, Queen's Bath, Blue Hole and Hatchet Bay Caves. Along the way are little historical communities and numerous fancy hotel/restaurants or native eateries.

Spanish Wells can be easily reached by plane; International flights from the US and domestic flights from other islands (on neighboring North Eleuthera) , ferry services and private boats arrive daily.
