Casa Fiona, located in the historic village of Nesso, is a perfect combination of modern and minimal interiors and a dynamic outdoor life. The color palette, in neutral shades of grey and white, in addition to serving as an enchanting setting on Lake Como, does not fail to surprise the eye with some flashes of color.

Casa Fiona can host 4 guests. There are two double bedrooms and an equipped kitchen suited for easy cooking.

The outdoor area offers both a relaxing garden area and a large terrace with a table and parasol for entertaining and organizing delicious open-air dinners.

Baby beds are available at an extra cost.

ACCESSIBILITY

Guests who wish to enjoy the town of Nesso should note that it has many steep and cobbly stairs and narrow paths. The town is not really accessible for people with mobility issues or with baby strollers.

Stairs have to be taken also to access the property.



PARKING

There is a spacious private parking lock-up garage underneath the apartment. There is also a household 220v electric socket which can be used for charging e-bikes.

>Traveling to and from Nesso might be tricky without a car. Public transportation services run till around 8 pm.



NEIGHBORHOOD

The property is in Nesso – a historic and picturesque town by Lake Como. Nesso is famous for its waterfall that divides the town into two parts and the ancient Roman bridge by the lakefront.



GETTING AROUND

For the guests\' convenience, we suggest arriving by car. From the pier, there are boat rides to Como and other nearby lakeside towns. However, they don\'t run too often. Tickets can be bought at the pier or on the Navigazione Laghi website. There is also a bus service operating between Como and Bellagio (line C30). The bus stop is located on the main road. Tickets can be obtained from the driver cash or by credit card or in the minimarket in Via Del Tivano 29 in Nesso. Please note that the buses don\'t run very often and services stop at around 8 pm! Taxi rides are available, but not easily attainable in the region.

From Como, it is convenient to travel to Milan and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno) by train.

The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost.

TIPS

>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must.

>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the little towns, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle!

>La Strada Regia is a nearby trekking route that connects Brunate (Como) to Bellagio. The whole route can be done in 2 or 3 days, but it is possible to do it in parts and walk from one town to the next, e.g., from Nesso to Careno.

>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly.

>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. Locals and visitors enjoy the lakefront in Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall. In nearby Careno, there is a nice little beach.

Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel further and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio.

>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. Be particularly attentive to the weather when hiking, and bring some warm and waterproof clothes with you!

In this property, it is mandatory to separate the garbage. Recycling laws are strict in Italy.
