Our huts are luxurious and make for the perfect glamping getaway. Decorated beautifully, they offer block printed linens, hand-stitched quilts, and the comfiest king-size bedchamber. You will be glamping with a hot shower, a fully fitted kitchen, electric underfloor heating, and log burning stoves to keep you extra warm. The two huts are 20m apart sitting in a meadow and surrounded by fields. There are hammocks to read in, an outdoor firepit with wooden armchairs, and sheep wool rugs.

Just a great place to be

Spent a couple of nights here again at the Shepherds hut at Tulliemet. Did a lovely walk up on the moors and spent a wonderful day at Blair Castle and its beautiful grounds. Have been there many times and never tire of it.

Had a great stay! Yvonne/staff were very responsive to any additional things we needed. The hut was quiet and had everything we needed. If only it didn’t rain so much so that we could use the fire pit more!

Magical cabin retreat ✚

Beautiful Glen views from a very comfortable campfire make more a very relaxing retreat. The cabin its self is extremely comfortable, well equipped and clean. It is a very pleasurable and cosy space if the weather is inclement! The location is ideal for a real isolated retreat ✚

Amazing stay

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The surroundings are amazing and we could have stayed for more days if we could. You have everything you need, and the quality is very good. 10/10 recommend!

Brilliant

We had an amazing stay in the shepherds hut. Beautifully decorated and just enough space for everything. Heating kept the place cosy and underfloor heating was a bonus. Also do have the log fire which is a nice touch. The weather wasn’t great when we stayed so we didn’t get to use the outside area but I imagine it would be great sitting there or in the hammock during nicer weather. The bed was super comfy too. Only thing of note is the lapwing is further away from the car than curlew. Not a huge distance but it was dark and quite muddy underfoot when we arrived, probably would have chosen curlew if I had known this.

Fantastic stay!

Very well equipped, clean and comfortable. Amazing views. Outside seating with a fire pit /bbq which was great. Also very private with plenty of walking trails from the hut. Would definitely recommend.

A peaceful stay

Lapwing was just amazing. The setting was idyllic and we loved being surrounded by nothing other than nature and wildlife. We saw an Osprey, lapwing, badgers, deer and heard a cuckoo along with owls. The shepherd's hut was spotlessly clean, fully equipped and very luxurious. The bed was very comfortable and we loved waking up to the beautiful views.

Fabulous!!

We only stayed for 3 nights but wished it had been longer. The Shepherds hut had all the comforts and in an incredible location. The view was amazing, as were the staff. We did two lovely walks and enjoyed sitting out on the patio. Loved it!

Beautiful place to stay

We loved our stay in Lapwing Shepherds Hut. Great location with beautiful views and we even had a visit from a deer and a grouse. The hut has lots of nice little touches and everything is done to a high standard.

Fantastic, relaxing stay!

This is a great place to totally switch off and relax. The hut was well designed and had everything we needed. The stove fire was lovely to have as it was a particularly wet weekend! Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be back!

Surprise birthday treat for the Mrs

Booked the Lapwing shepherds hut for a surprise break for my Mrs birthday, we both love to be out in the countryside amongst nature and the huts location is perfect overlooking stunning countryside. The hut itself was spotlessly clean and very cosy, warm in the evening and with a very comfortable king size bed, and everything needed for our stay. The house keeper was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed, all in all a truly wonderful break, excellent service, value for money and location, will definitely be back next year !

Amazing shepherds hut

We loved staying in the shepherds hut. It is really well equipped and although small has everything you need, including a flushing toilet and hot shower. The views are incredible and plenty of birds and wildlife to watch. Would definitely recommend and we will go back again.

Peace and quiet with fab views (when the clouds moved away!)

Fabulous views over the hills and down the valley, quiet and peaceful. Clean, compact and very comfortable, no clock, no TV, no wi-fi and very poor mobile signal, an ideal place to escape the madness of modern life!

This was our second new year break at the shepherds hut, yet again we had nothing at all to complain about. A fantastic place to stay, away from all the hustle and bustle off everyday life. The hut is comfy and cosy and the views are amazing, definitely recommend.

A hidden gem

Beautiful hut located in a gorgeous spot. Our stay had everything we needed including firewood for both the indoor burner and outdoor fire pit. There’s a perfect amount of privacy from the other Shephards hut so you really do feel secluded. Yvonne, the head housekeeper was lovely and super helpful. This is a real gem and I wish I could have stayed for longer!

Stunning views

Everything we needed for a comfortable stay in an amazing location. We really appreciated the cosy touches and quality of the fittings. The hammock and outdoor seating was a bonus. We tried a couple of the recommended walks and enjoyed exploring the area around the hut. Would recommend stocking up with basic supplies at Ballinluig before heading up the hill as the drive is long and uneven in places.

A wintery wonderland

We loved staying in Lapwing for a couple of days. Beautiful location, being remote but accessible. The hut is setup with everything one could need and is very cosy - we were there during snow and it was very warm! The only issue we came across was the lack of instructions for the heating/recycling/etc... but a very minor quibble for a great stay!
