Villas Virgin Gorda is proud to introduce our newest property, Indigo Hill Villa!
Indigo Hill Villa is a 2 Bedroom/3 Bath home with a commanding sea view atop the boulders in Crooks Bay. The villa is situated on the ridge above Crooks Bay and offers views of both the open Caribbean Sea and the Drake Channel and sister islands. It is a short and easy 8-minute walk down the paved road to the secluded sands of Crooks Bay Beach. The villa was purchased and lovingly renovated over the last few years. Using the existing footprint, the villa was sustainably redesigned with every modern convenience. Luxurious furnishings, many of which were custom-made by Arawak Interiors, along with elegant lighting provide a relaxing and beautiful complement to the dramatic natural beauty of the property. The villa’s original tiled floors and exposed beams showcase its history while new appliances and finishes afford a state-of-the-art yet timeless environment. Guests can relax and get back to nature while staying connected to the outside world via high-speed WiFi throughout the property. Notably, this very private home, while having been built in 1991, has never been available to rent.
Upon arrival, you will see the villa is set in a lush and mature garden full of palms and many flowering plants. Following the bluestone paths through the front garden past the hammock will lead you either to the main house, the detached guest cottage, or down to the pool garden.
The air-conditioned guest cottage is set amongst a lush garden and features a king-size bed with bedside phone charging stations, a ceiling fan, a kitchenette, a seating area, a closet with shelving and a safe, and a full bath with double sinks, a rainfall shower, and a built-in bench. Ample windows provide beautiful light; however, blackout shades and drapes are also provided for late sleepers.
Upon entry to the main house, the expansive sea view takes center stage through mahogany bifold glass doors which open and are fully screened to provide the BVI’s signature trade wind breezes. The villa’s main floor is an open plan comprised of the living, dining, and kitchen areas. The living area has a very large L-shaped sofa and 2 chairs. A large smart TV (with an NYC-based streaming TV subscription) is concealed within a custom-made cabinet. A turntable and a selection of albums, along with high-end portable Bluetooth speakers allow for audio throughout the property.
The kitchen has custom cabinetry including a large island with 4 barstools, a wine cooler, and an ice maker. For guests who enjoy cooking and entertaining, the kitchen is well equipped with Viking appliances including a refrigerator/freezer, 6-burner range with convection oven, dishwasher, and microwave drawer, plus Hexclad cookware, and many other gadgets such as a water carbonator and Nespresso machine. Lenox tableware and beautiful glassware are also provided. The dining area has a large oval dining table with seating for 8 people. Two additional sets of double doors in the room are open and are also fully screened.
The main floor is air-conditioned and has two ceiling fans. Binoculars are provided for those interested in seeing some of the beautiful sailboats and yachts that pass by!
Off the main living area, enjoy the large, covered terrace, which provides a dining table with seating for up to 8 people and an impressive view of the Drake Channel. Off the terrace is a bathroom with an outdoor shower. A small bridge from the terrace leads to the top of a very large batholith (boulder) on the property which features a seating area with comfortable beanbag chairs and ottomans, perfect for an evening drink while you enjoy the sunset, moonrise, or stargazing. Take the music with you via the portable sound system or enjoy the birdsong.
Upstairs you will find the air-conditioned master bedroom suite with a king-size bed, bedside phone charging stations, two chests of drawers to provide ample storage, a large closet with a safe and shelving, ceiling fan, and a spacious bathroom with double sinks and a rainfall shower including a floor to ceiling window to take in that beautiful sea view. Windows surround the room to provide plenty of light, sea, and garden views. However, blackout blinds and drapes are provided for those who like to sleep late.
A path from the front porch leads you down through the gardens to the large, freeform pool and deck area set amongst the boulders to provide your own private ‘Baths’ in a setting that is truly unique to Virgin Gorda. Cushioned lounge chairs, spectacular views, and sunsets await you. Pool-safe glassware and dishware are provided to ensure you can enjoy this area to its fullest.
Guests can also enjoy the villa's membership to Nail Bay Sports Club. The Club offers a gym and tennis, squash, and paddle ball courts.
The villa features Wi-Fi and is fully air-conditioned throughout. It is almost 100% solar-powered (except for air conditioning). The property is gated, has coded locks on all exterior doors, and has security cameras monitoring the parking area and select areas of the property boundaries. Beach chairs are provided and stored in a waterproof chest in the driveway.
Truthful asides: Due to the nature of the terrain upon which this villa is built, it is not suitable for small children or those with very limited mobility.

For vehicle rentals, we recommend Mahogany Car Rentals, you can find them online with a quick search or we can share details after you reserve the villa. All of the local rental companies have similar vehicles and rates but we think Mahogany provides the best service. They will bring your vehicle to the ferry dock/airport for your arrival. After a few minutes of paperwork with their attendant, we will escort you to the Villa and get you checked in.
Taxis are available but can add up, we are happy to share our favorite Taxi Driver's details after booking.
Virgin Gorda is the perfect place to "island hop" from, we can also help you arrange a boat charter to some of our sister islands. Day trip to places like Anegada, Jost Van Dyke, Cooper Island, Norman Island, Scrub Island, and more....
