Why Cecelia Dove chose Rockland
The location is walkable to almost everything the City of Rockland has to offer.
What makes this House unique
For those travelers who have an interest in art, Edward Hopper used the living room (circa 1926) as subject matter in a painting titled 'Mrs. Achorns Parlor' which now belongs to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The living room in the painting is now the guest suite.

Cozy little studio
This room was a cozy, cute place within walking distance to alot of places in town
Easy communication with owner. Nice place however I thought we had a view of the harbor. ( we were very close to it though )
In the description of the property there is no mention nor do we imply there is a harbor view from the house. In fact the house is described several times as being 'in town and a short walk to the harbor' In addition there is a birds eye view map showing the location of the house. The caption under the picture of the harbor even states that is is a short distance away. I might recommend guests re read description before posting something that implies they were mislead. Thanks!
A little disappointed. Not happy with the on street parking on the narrow street. The apartment was smaller than I anticipated and the building older.
We are sorry this traveler was not 100% satisfied. The parking on street can be crowded but there are 2 other driveways available and those were offered. The house was built in 1835 and has a fascinating history which is usually a draw to our other guests. Might I suggest a hotel if you are a traveler who doesnt care for historic buildings.
Perfect Accomodations in a great location!
Enjoyed our stay! My husband really enjoyed Liberator Brewing and their story.
Delightful Large room & Kitchenette
Owner communicates very well. Easy access to unit
Unit includes a large tastefully decorated bedroom. Strong WIFI. Small kitchen/bathroom adjoin. All was very clean
Unit in great location. Can walk to many parts of commercial district including the Farnsworth Museum. It would be a very short drive to other places in town or nearby.
Bathroom small. It shares the sink in the kitchen. There is no mirror above the sink which could cause some trade offs when shaving. We worked around this without difficulty. Bath linen is good quality.
Very nice TV .
Good value for the price. Host is excellent communicator and has done a nice job on a space with some limits. Would recommend if such a space works for you.
Perfect for our overnight stay in Rockland! Very comfy bed!
